Strengths
Heat Resistance: Due to the layer of Insulfoam within the walls of the tank, the AB-RT can regulate it's heat so it can navigate the lava planet of Mustafar as well as the ice planet of Hoth with relative ease.
Heavily Armoured: Torr Industires have gone to great lengths to make sure this tank is protected to the furthest extent possible. With it's Deflector Shield, Reinforced Armour Plating and Reactive Armour, the AB-RT is not going down easily.
Variety of Armaments: The AB-RT has a variety of Armaments to allow for protection against both ground infantry and other vehicles. It also has the potential to break through defences of enemy bases with relative ease and can defend against missiles to some extent.
Weaknesses
Exposed Repulsorlifts: Perhaps the biggest flaw in the AB-RT's design is it's exposed repulsorlifts. To allow for easier maneuverability and swifter movement, Torr Designed this tank so it's repulsorlifts had the ability to move easier and more quickly than it's predecessors which means they are exposed on the outside of the tank itself. Also, if one repulsorlift is destroyed then the tank will be put completely off-balance and exposed to further attacks.
Environmental Factors: As with most tanks, the AB-RT's movement is limited in places with lots of debris or great inclines and declines. On steep hills and mountains, the AB-RT's uses are extremely limited.
Reloads: Due to the way the tank is designed, reloads are quite hard and require the crew being exposed to attacks and outside elements. This is particularly the case with the Electromagnetic Plasma Machinegun and the Antimissile Octect Launchers.
Limited Space: Due to the smaller length of the tank, the space inside of it is much more limited. Of course, there also needs to be somewhere to keep ammo reloads and so there is no room for transporting passengers.
Description
The Armoured Battle Repulsor Tank, or AB-RT, was a tank designed by Torr Mechanical Designs and Schematics as their first company-produced vehicle. It was manufactured to be an all-round reliable vehicle that has both high defences and armaments as well as to be relatively fast and easily maneuverable for situations when it is required. Originally, it was designed to be used only by the Silver Jedi Order though Torr decided that they would sell it to select customers later on to make a bit more cash.
Although it is reliable, as everything, it has it's weaknesses and limitations. For example, it's exposed repulsorlifts. These exposed repulsorlifts were incorporated into the design to allow for quicker and easier movement, though are particularly dangerous if they are destroyed. If one repulsorlift is destroyed, the entire tank is put off balance and it's uses are extremely limited. Also, some of it's armaments (such as the Electromagnetic Plasma Machinegun) require the crew to be exposed to attacks and the elements when reloading.
Overall, the Armoured Battle Repulsor Tank (while it has it's weaknesses) is a strong, reliable repulsor tank capable of traversing harsh terrain (including water and potentially lava) and is well worth the price tag.
