Name: The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant.

OOC Heirarchy:
IC Hierarchy: From its inception, the Mahporeem has always been ruled by a planetary triumvirate, each section representing a facet of Mahporeenian society. One member comes from the Imperial Armed Forces, one member from the native Merzoidian people and one member from the various different alien species that now call Mahporeem home. In reality, however, Mahporeenian politics are dominated by the military, to the point that all foreign relations and military campaigns are decided by them. The rest of the planet does not seem to care too much about this as long as they have jobs to work, food to eat and entertainment to keep them distracted. The most powerful individuals in all of the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant are those who represent Mahporeem High Command, the military council that decides how the armed forces are to be best used. As one might imagine, the Mahporeenian Armed Forces make up a large percentage of the faction's population, and there isn't too much in the way of checks and balances to prevent them from doing what they want to do, though it is theoretically possible for the people of Mahporeem itself to band together and refuse to serve the military any longer. However, this remains at best a distance possibility, especially given the power and prestige the Imperial Remnant finds itself enjoying at the moment.

The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant does possess a number of different organizations within its armed forces, each organization catering to a specific military need and OOC playstyle:
  • Mahporeem Imperial Army
    • Serving as the backbone of the Mahporeenian Armed Forces, the Mahporeem Imperial Army is responsible for all planetary bases operations across the galaxy. From Mahporeem to Coruscant, the brave men, women and aliens of the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant fight to defend Mahporeem from both inside and outside threats and to spread Imperial and Mahporeenian ideas near and abroad. The Mahporeem Imperial Army can be broadly subdivided into three main categories: enlisted personnel such as Junktroopers, Special Forces and Imperial Officers. Furthermore, the Mahporeem Imperial Army does except various different species of aliens into its ranks, such as the brave and noble Stormwookies, and gladly employs just about anyone willing to fight on behalf of the Imperial Remnant. No matter age, gender, or species, all are welcome to serve Mahporeem and its interests!
  • Mahporeem Imperial Navy
    • The direct counterpart of the Mahporeem Imperial Army is, of course, the Mahporeem Imperial Navy, the organization responsible all space-borne and intergalactic combat operations. Though Mahporeenian ground personnel may serve on naval assets, such as transports or boarding craft, they are generally considered members of the Mahporeem Imperial Army and not the navy itself. Those serving in the Mahporeem Imperial Naval tend to be Starfighter Pilots, Naval Officers or Naval Support Staff such as mechanics and fleet gunners. Ever since the collapse of the Imperial Confederation, the Mahporeem Imperial Navy has been able to secure a variety of domestically and foreign produced ships, and has greatly managed to increase its combat capabilities despite the logistical losses suffer by the collapse of the Confederation itself.
  • Mahporeenian Intelligence
    • Not all of the enemies of Mahporeem are necessarily found on the battlefield. Some may choose to hide in the shadows, concealing their presence from Imperial authorities until they are ready to strike or act. It is the job of Mahporeenian Intelligence to find and neutralize these threats before they are able to do so, using the skills they have acquired as Intelligence Agents of Mahporeem. Mahporeenian Intelligence also engages in a number of critical military and political functions such as intelligence gathering, the spreading of propaganda, "convincing" foreign assets to work with the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant and even the occasional targeted assassination. After all, some missions require a far more "delicate" touch than the army or navy can provide...
  • Junkyard Knights of Mahporeem
    • One of the newest military branches in the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, the Junkyard Knights of Mahporeem are composed primarily of ex-Diarchy Force Sensitives fleeing the collapse of their faction and the encroaching Mandalorian onslaught, though a small but important amount of ex-Galactic Alliance personnel have also made the decision to join the organization. As of now, the Junkyard Knights of Mahporeem is the only Force Sensitive organization to exist within the Imperial Remnant, and much like those who came from the Diarchy, it too rejects the notion of the Light Side and Dark Side, believing that both "sides" of the Force are tools to be used by its members, rejecting the narrow minded dichotomy of both the Jedi and Sith.
  • Corporate Assets
    • Even when still a part of the Imperial Confederation, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant found itself quite business friendly, beginning with its relationship with the N&Z Umbrella Corporation. The collapse of the Confederation has only lead to the strengthening of business ties with N&Z and other corporations, and even today, many outside companies call Mahporeem home, as they seek to take advantage of its vast material wealth and skilled working population. Of course, Mahporeem expects much in exchange for allowing these companies to exploit the planet and profit off of its winding scrapyards and junkyards, and when any deal is made, Mahporeenian representatives are not far behind to collect what they believe is owed to them!
Requested Hexes: The capital of the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant is of course the custom planet of Mahporeem. In addition, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant would wish to claim the following hexes:
  • Doan
  • Dornea
  • Hast
  • Krinemomen IIII
  • Munto Codru

Description:
The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant is, as its name suggests, an Imperial Remnant faction based on the planet of Mahporeem in the Outer Rim. Located between the planets of Doan, Hast, Dornea and Cophrigin V, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant can be most easily found on the Star Wars Chaos: RP map by looking for the Ash Worlds Superhex and the Instrop Sector, as it directly borders both of these specific areas.

Compared to other Imperial factions, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant blends a unique mixture of Imperial, corporate and scavenged technology into its armed forces. Since the vast majority of the planet is covered in scrap yards and junkyards, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant is well known for the plethora of "Ugly" and kitbashed weapons, vehicles and starships that it has available to it. It is quite common to see vehicles constructed out of different vehicle kits rolling around on the battlefield, or starships cobbled together from various different starships parts flying throughout the cold void of space. The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant is well known for its ability to construct new vehicles and starships out of damaged or destroyed Imperial, Rebel and private sector equipment.

In addition, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant maintains a strong relationship with various different intergalactic companies, such as the N&Z Umbrella Corporation and Du'thra Engineering. This gives Mahporeem access to rare and unusual technologies that it often incorporates into its designs, creating vehicle with equal parts junkyard aesthetics and corporate polish. Truly, many of the vehicles and starships in use with the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant are unlike any in the galaxy, and despite appearances, each is just as powerful and deadly as anything in use with the Jedi, Sith or Mandalorians.

The Imperial Remnant itself is ruled by a planetary triumvirate, which each member representing a different aspect of Mahporeem's unique and varied culture. One representative represents the Mahporeenian Armed Forces, one the native Merzoidian people of the planet, and one the various different alien species and laborers who call the planet home. In theory, this arrangement exists to ensure that one branch does not become more powerful than the other two, as two of the branches working together can use their power and influence to "check" the third. For example, should the military attempt to oppress the people of Mahporeem, the Merzoidian people, who are responsible for keeping the planet fed, can refuse to provide food for the military, as the other various alien species go on a labor strike.

In reality, however, the military tends to dominate Mahporeenian politics, and the other two branches of the planetary triumvirate often follow the lead of the military as long as they have access to steady labor and good economic conditions on the planet. With all the business brought to the planet by Imperial Authorities, Intergalactic Corporations and neutral planetary systems, most of Mahporeem is content to let the military do what it considers necessary to allow the planet to continue prospering, especially since Mahporeem proper has yet to be attacked or invaded by anyone that the Imperial Remnant has gone to war with.

Originally part of the now defunct Imperial Confederation, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has begone to increasingly forge its own path forward, though it does maintain close ties with Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen 's Final Dawn, working both overtly and covertly to ensure the success of the organization. The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant also retains somewhat close ties with the newly revived First Order out in the unknown regions, along with those who used to serve the now fallen Diarchy. Besides this, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant remains friendly toward dozens of minor organizations and factions, though it does take an actively hostile stance against the members of the Sith Covenant, the Sith Order and the Mandalorian Empire.

The Pitch: The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has a number of different qualities about it that makes the faction a good candidate to become a major faction. Firstly, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant maintains a unique blend of an Imperial, scrapper, and corporate aesthetic, which allows the faction to draw in a wide range of different players. This unique blend of attributes makes the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant a lynchpin for those looking to RP in the Outer Rim. Furthermore, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has a great deal of potential to drive RP as both an antagonist force and a stabilizing power, helping to get members of the community involved in the site and with other players. Secondly, the lack of any major Imperial power on the Star Wars Chaos Map has reduced the potential for other major factions to engage in board altering stories. With the approval of the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant to major, preexisting factions will have a new impetus to create large scale stories that can help get the entire Chaos community involved in them. Thirdly, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, though minor at the moment, possesses a skilled and thriving community of players, one that seeks to continue growing so that it can continue to collaborate with other players and factions across the board and contribute positively to the spirt of Chaos's RP. The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant's reach is far larger than merely controlling territory on the map, and it is my sincere wish that my faction will be able to help this site grow even further by mentoring new players and creating stories in a way that we are unable to do so as a minor faction.
