Too much time on my hands at the Tion Trade Nexus (Open!)

Tion Trade Nexus

Tion was a safe enough port. Near the Silver Sanctum Coalition space, but boy was it busy. Kaia Starchaser had docked her ship, Wandering Star at the trade hub and felt it was time to stretch her legs. Places like this had a lot of entertainment and things to do. And sure, Kaia was getting better at being on a planet, but the girl was still a bit agoraphobic, but who wouldn’t be when you lived on starships? This was about as close as she’d get to enjoying time away from her ships.

But it was still a station, and that could be the reason why. The dark haired girl was debating another tattoo, but more importantly, was looking for a few items, time to upgrade the systems and armament for the Star. Plus, any kind of contracts and contacts she could bring either to her brother at the LAA or to the Alliance, or even the Dawn Treader, wouldn’t be a bad idea. There were so many people here.

Storefronts were lit up and some were even restaurants and other lounges. She knew her cousin, Token, had her company out here, that infernal company that was started by that Starchaser. But she might go try to find Token, though the chances of that? Slim to none. Tightening her jacket about her slim figure, and running a hand through her dark hair, combat booted feet made their way down the halls. She had a few hours to burn.

What sort of trouble could she cause?

"Are you bored of the overpriced trades of Nexus?" A metallic voice sounded on a small robot near a long, white-haired woman who was slowly dancing in an invisible, and non-existent box, each movement causing a tiny jerk when a piece of skin touched the edge of the confined areas, strictly encased. "Come on down to Dancing Lenny's, dancers for sale, drinks, and the most beautiful skin in all the galaxy!" The woman inside the box tilted her head back, leaning her entire butt-long mess of hair to make a small wall, before it rolled backwards as the human inside adjusted.

The dancer had a wealthy look to her face. Perfect nose, eyes, and the white with red make-up that stayed on almost in every condition. She occasionally turned to face the newcomer's with batting eyelashes and splashes of emerald green eyes, but something was there, something screaming that she didn't want to be here. It was kind of ironic, she wanted out of the box.

Her outfit was simple, bought from the local stores. A tight tank-top with a wavy curled design, high heeled shoes, shorts that were just a bit too short to be knee-shorts, and a pair of beautiful shoes that sparkled a black shine every time the light hit it. At seeing a new stranger, [member="Kaia Starchaser"], the lady batted her eyelashes slowly and pursed her lips, motioning with a finger for her to come closer as the droid behind her repeated it's offering call.

Sometimes there were issues with being in trade nexuses... nexi? Just rephrase it to 'being at a trade nexus.' So many people, all bustling to and fro with so many things to purchase and they each had their own life. It was fascinating. But the second one of them so much as coughed? Kaia would freak out. Recycled air was clean, it was fresh and felt better, but.. what if it couldn't get filtered? Then she might get sick, and take that to wherever she was going. The dark haired girl wasn't so worried about that right now. Nope. Just browsing, and making her way through the spacers.

She should probably go and get her equipment, then get back to her ship, but how often did she make it to TTN? Not often enough. Maybe it would do her good to explore a bit? Practically was the 'Coruscant of Space,' and the girl figured the entertainment levels may, for one, have her cousin Token, and two, could be useful for a smile.

The droid was talking and Kaia looked at the dancer, y'know, observationally. Then she started to crook her finger. Kaia, embarrassed and naive looked over both her shoulders and then back to the dancer, clearly asking 'me?' with her body language.

Orcus plodded through the streets, musing to himself about what would happen if a Squib were to sign onto a Herglic trade ship. Instantaneous agoraphobia, no doubt. Adorable little blue creatures, scavengers though. Certainly not to be trusted.

Much like the one who had just stolen his wallet.

He patted the pockets of his blue suit and sighed, then gestured to one of his two bodyguards.

The fellow Herglic abruptly turned and seized the scurrying Squib by the back of its neck.

Orcus approached the bipedal rodent, which now hung limply in the air. "I believe you have something that belongs to me."

The Squib meekly dropped the wallet into his extended flipper.

"Good. Next time do not expect me to be so merciful." A smile slid across his face, nearly as wide as the Squib was tall, exposing rows of large, conical teeth.

"Now run along."

His bodyguard released the miscreant and shoed it off. Orcus replaced his wallet and blew air gently from his blowhole. Poor omens for the rest of the day. Perhaps he should have taken the little rat into Safe Harbor. But no... he sensed no potential in that one.

The dancer eyed the girl as she looked about, now having a bit of curiosity in her. She almost giggled at the motions she was giving, like a little girl who wasn't sure if someone was calling her name, or giving her candy. She shook her head for the girl, gently gripping onto an imaginary rope, tugging it forward with the stranger's direction opposing.

But she did it right. That's the magic of dancing, you can do everything a mute can but you can do it just good enough so it looked appealing. A generous smirk on her face showed she was actually glad to see the woman, even though it was just another person she found wondering the streets on this day. Just a normal day, suppose.
