BACKGROUND

Tomis Lasky - born amidst the sun and sprawling fields on Abrion Major, a world known more for its food exports than for nurturing dreams of medicine. His parents were civilian technicians employed to repair critical infrastructure, maintaining systems far above his understanding as a youth. From a young age, Tomis was drawn not to the life of agriculture surrounding him, but to the medical staff stationed on-world. Calm, precise professionals trained to save lives amid pure chaos. He would often ask what it took to become someone in the world of medicine, watching them work, his curiosity blooming into a quiet determination.

As he grew older, Tomis began collecting old medical texts, salvaged from out of date repositories or traded with off-world supply crews. Despite limited resources, with his parents support he learned basics of anatomy, diagnostics, and first aid. A pivotal moment came when a agri-machine operator was injured in an equipment failure, and Tomis stepped in to attempt diagnostic and stabilization before the worker could be evacuated to get proper care. The experience solidified his ambitions, he didn't just want to be a doctor, he had to be one, even if that meant leaving Abrion Major behind.

Tomis eventually managed to get off planet via acceptance to a medical university program. Having studied hard and learned much in his teenage years Tomis planned to study to become a doctor. Ultimately and unfortunately failing to obtain further acceptance to a doctoral study program after completing his initial studies. Needing to make payments on his education and wanting to put his skills to work, Tomis eventually found himself relocating to Rothana. The draw of interest into the Confederacy, and the repayment incentives for his education via service to the state intrigued him greatly. Tomis is driven by a guiding set of principles: to heal, to serve, and to ensure that no life is lost without intervention.

PERSONALITY

Tomis Lasky is quietly resolute, guided by a deep empathy and an unshakable belief in the value of life. He's observant and patient, often choosing to listen before speaking, which allows him a to keep his cool in high-stress situations. Though humble about his abilities, he has a sharp mind and a meticulous nature, especially when it comes to treating injuries or learning new medical techniques.
