It was mid-morning on a Primeday. The press briefing room was packed with reporters accompanied by floating cam droids bearing the logos of various media outlets. Relaying orders to their crewmen via microphones, the journalists chugged cups of caf and or gnawed on the ends of their styluses. There was a palpable tension in the air, growing as the minutes ticked down to the hour. Whatever was going to be said in the next few minutes would be big news, and they all knew it.
Senator Sycorax Laveaux waited in the wings, checking and re-checking the final draft of her speech. A makeup artist hovered around her, making sure her lipstick wasn’t smudged and every hair was in place. Everything had to be perfect. She was about to make history.
Finally, the signal was given. As her attendants were dismissed, Sycorax took a deep breath and walked out. Dozens of cameras flashed as she made her way to the podium, laid down her datapad, and adjusted the mic.
“Good morning, everyone. Seventy two hours ago, I met with King

“I realize how startling this news may be to the people of Dahrtag, who for more than fifty years have pledged allegiance to the GA. Nor will I pretend this is anything less than a bitter divorce from the galactic power which I have spent the majority of my career striving to serve and uphold. Yet now that I have listened to other senators speak of abandoning member worlds, I can no longer fulfill my duties to both the planet I represent and the faction which would toss them to the dogs if it were convenient to do so. What use is membership in an alliance if our so-called allies will not fight for us? The systems of Ukatis and Lazerian IV have already chosen to leave peacefully, seeking a new destiny without ties to the decaying corpse of the GA. Now Dahrtag must do the same, for the sake of our society’s preservation.
“If you are afraid of what will happen in the coming days, imagine how terrified you would be if Dahrtag was facing annihilation by an invading force—and rather than coming to our aid, the Alliance abandoned us in our hour of need.” Her dark eyes scanned the reporters’ faces, watching their reactions. It was so quiet, one could’ve heard a pin drop. “Now, I will open the floor to questions.”
The silence was immediately broken by a flurry of voices. Hands rose, eager to be called upon.
Dahrtag has left the Galactic Alliance and joined the High Republic. The stunning news echoes through the system as the citizens of the obscure tombworld deal with the ramifications of the decision.

Objective II: Transporting Prisoners
In exchange for membership, Dahrtag has agreed to build a massive prison complex on its moon Charnel, which will house the Republic's most dangerous criminals. Transports carrying the scum of the galaxy are already arriving in the system. Jedi and law enforcement have been called upon to ensure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible.

Objective III: BYOO
Dahrtag is a mysterious planet full of graves and shadows. Explore its tombs and cities, make new friends, or even stir up trouble. Just be careful not to disturb the dead...
