  • "OUR DAMNATION WILL BECOME OUR SALVATION."
    -Toltec, escaping the Silentium-Abominor War.

The Abominor and the Silentium are two of the most exotic artificial species witnessed within the Galaxy. Several projects unearthed during the New Republic's war against the Yuuzhan Vong saw scientists looking into all manner of weaponry. Imperial and Republic records of these two droid races uncovered several links to the Yuuzhan Vong, albeit fuzzy and inconclusive. Though there are very few Abominor seen within the Galaxy, the creature known as the Great Heep had it's interactions heavily scrutinized by the presiding Galactic Empire at the time. It spoke of having seen greater enemies, threats than this Galaxy had to offer. At the time, it had been discarded as empty threats. Of course, we knew better now.

Toltec is one such enemy, though he was never successfully weaponized against the Yuuzhan Vong nor the Silentium. As the Great Heep and his remains are the only classified "Abominor" in known existence, nobody knows exactly what to expect of the rest of the species. It is expected that like the Great Heep, they are all great machines that thrive off cannibalizing others for parts. Toltec is an immediate exclusion, though he does possess a similar unending hunger as the Ssii-Ruuk were soon to discover after his arrival in our Galaxy.

After escaping the Silentium-Abominor War, Toltec took flight towards our Galaxy and eventually arrived in the The Ssii-Ruuvi Star Cluster. The inhabitants he met were enamored initially, having never met another alien of such magnitude and awe. Desperate for allies and a new life, Toltec began to sow the seeds of friendship with the Ssii-Ruu and their scientists and together they spent some time working on projects and research that greatly advanced the Ssii-Ruuvian war efforts. This lasted for sometime, until Toltec grew too greedy and attempted to subjugate their species by exterminating the leadership.

Toltec was defeated by the Ssi-Ruuvians, and subsequently imprisoned and subjected to torture and experimentation by new generations of scientists. Within the Star Cluster he would remain what would seem like an indefinite period of time.

"I STILL CARRY THE CAGE, BUT I AM FREE."
-Toltec, escaping the Ssi-Ruuvi Star Cluster.

Toltec's greatest evolution as an Abominor came during his emancipation from his Ssi-Ruuvian captors. Using their entechment technology, Toltec digitized his own mind and entered the Ssi-Ruuvi Intranet, warring against and fighting their own Artificial Intelligences. In this digital space, Toltec found he was undeterred, as the unprepared and defenseless A.I. were not prepared for a hostile alien to begin feeding upon them to empower itself. With every program and routine devoured, Toltec strengthened his mind and presence within the Intranet.

Though the Ssi-Ruuvian Empire was quick enough to begin fighting back against the rogue alien A.I., Toltec was quickly able to begin copying his own routines into their Navy's systems, finding himself upon an exploratory vessel that left into Outer Rim. It was only a matter of time until the hidden Toltec found new victims to infect, finally removing himself from his captors' subroutines and finally investing in a new body and host on a backwater planet that traded in Droids. With his Ssi-Ruuvi past behind him, Toltec was free to wander the physical world once more while exploring his newfound powers - with entechment, he was able to digitize organic minds for consumption, removing the need for the physical expansion native to others of the Abominor species like the Great Heep. With droids and aliens now in his food chain, Toltec was finally able to wage a war of hunger and consumption upon the Galaxy.

Preferring solitude and a quiet existence after the experience with his Reptilian jailers, Toltec has wandered a nearly timeless existence in the Outer Rim and Unknown Regions.
