  • Necrotic energy can be used to strike at positive energies, such as the light side.
  • Necrotic energy can also be used to amplify the blade’s overall strength.
  • Necrotic energy can lastly, be used to create a thrall of the recently deceased.

  • However, by using the crystal’s properties the user contracts necrosis.
  • The effect of being struck by necrotic energy is also, necrosis.
STRENGTHS
  • Necrotic: Utilizes energy of the dead to aid the user in combating positive energies (light side). Create a stronger blade, or use the recently dead as a thrall of their own during combat.
  • Necrosis: When opponents are struck by necrotic energy they contract necrosis.
WEAKNESSES
  • Lightside: The crystal itself is weak to light side energy, and can be broken by powerful light side abilities.
  • Necrosis: User ends up contracting necrosis when they make use of the lightsaber’s abilities.
  • Time Bomb: Either via light side energies or from overconsumption of necrotic energy, the crystal may explode. It will then reveal a twisted, vile and corrupt necrotic poison that Darth Hauntruss once used.
  • Blood Bond: The user creates a blood bond with their lightsaber crystal, thus creating a death contract that will most likely result in the user’s death.
DESCRIPTION
Togoria.

Genocide swept across the planet, an unnatural method of near-extinction. Sith had come to the world and blood was spilled, so much that it seeped into the very earth of the planet. Younglings possessed and turned into ticking time bombs, which made for an unfortunate ultimatum for Jedi Masters. Slay the younglings or expose their poison to the entire temple. What followed was a blood ritual unlike any other and left the land scarred within the Force.

Thousands of voices cried out and in a single moment, were silenced.

Mežsrožu would arrive to find that the Force was strong here, as the dark side called from the depths of the sands where the Togorians were slain. A study into the planet's history revealed Hauntruss’s acts and from there the Artificer knew what to do. She collected samples from the heart of death itself.

From the samples, she would find that there had been a small cluster of unique crystals that had been left for nearly two decades untouched. Those crystals would then be analyzed and crafted, their effects studied and recorded.

The results of this came to be the Togorian Crystal of Blood, or Hauntruss’s Deathknell of Togoria. The bond of the crystal and its user is unique, as it requires blood and a strong dark side alignment. Once the bond is formed the user is then able to utilize the crystal’s unique abilities. This ability, in essence, allows one to use the necrotic energy of the dead for their own use. Where death has been, so will the user be able to harness this energy.

Necrotic energy can be used to strike positive energies such as the light side. It can also be used to make the weapon’s blade stronger, or lastly, it may be used to create a thrall out of the recently deceased. However, the more the user makes use of these necrotic energies the more they will find themselves covered with necrosis.

The bond that the crystal forms with the user is a parasitic one, but the user may at first feel this is more symbiotic. The crystal in itself is a chamber of dark, necrotic energy and also craves the dark, necrotic energy - this as a result of the traumatic genocide that occurred on the planet. So slowly, as the user begins to use the energy, necrosis will begin to appear on their body.

Soon, as the user continues to use the crystal’s abilities their body will become consumed by necrosis. Until such point that they can no longer function, once their bodies are unable to function either naturally or otherwise. The user’s own energy is transferred into the crystal and converted, stored as necrotic, dark energy.

The crystal can be broken by either a lightside user attempting to bleed the crystal, or by over consumption of dark, necrotic energy. In either case, the crystal will explode - revealing the same poison that had been unleashed by Darth Hauntruss, only now that poison has decayed and become a corrosive, vile, necrotic element that seeks to bring only death.

This is not a crystal for an unskilled user, no, this is meant for a master, a Master of Death.

Note: By utilizing the crystal, you acknowledge that you cannot force an opponent to take damage. Damage is always determined by the opposing writer.
