Qena Prime
Valstraus Crestin
Erycke sat in his study facing out the window, it had been a very long night. Having gotten back only a few hours ago, and having little to no sleep, Erycke rubbed the sides of his head as he stood up, walking to a table, pouring himself a stiff liquor and downing it swiftly. Negotiations hadn’t gone like he’d hoped for, and no amount of persuasion was going to get these people to budge — it meant he was going to have to try
other routes of negotiation. Throwing his holopad on his large ornate desk he opened a drawer, pulled out a pipe, reached down, opened a felt pouch and stuffed the substance into the pipe — immediately proceeding to light it up. Chuckling as he took a few puffs, and slowly exhaled he knew — Val would be
livid if she caught him doing this, smoking in her building was a “
no-no”. This tower was their — no, it was her a, her shining beacon to all of Qena Prime. He couldn’t help but to smile thinking of that
frustrating but
amazing woman, his hand coming up, taking another long drag off the pipe before extinguishing it.
Smoke filled his nostrils and danced around his head as he set down the pipe, Erycke dusted his hands off as he walked over, grabbing his coat and exiting his study and walking down the hall towards their living quarters. Val during the design phase put their living quarters on the top of the tower, they had the best view, and he never got tired of looking out over the city. Opening the door slowly, the lights were dim — slowly creeping through the penthouse, a voice broke the silence - ‘
chit’ he thought inwardly to himself, but nonetheless a smile broke out on his lips as he made his way over to his lovely bride.
“Yes — I am, and I should have sent a holomessage… I was, tied up, negotiations didn’t go as planned. They refuse to listen to reason.” He paused as he stood directly behind her now, Erycke wrapping his arms around her as he planted a soft kiss on the side of her neck.
“I am sorry Val… can you forgive this… forgetful and imperfect man that I am?” Erycke chided, verbally poking at her as he planted another small kiss on her neck.
“Have you been ok?”
