So her assumption had been correct then. Kas was new to the order. That would explain why she'd never seen him around before.

"It was a little daunting, yes, but starting anything new is daunting. And it's not like they throw you straight in the deep end as a youngling. It's a gradual introduction. Small amounts of training over a large amount of time. And it means most people who start young get taken in by a master by the time they're 16."

Valoria didn't mention her own experience. She didn't want to. Things were messy. To the point where even considering telling Kas made her shut it out of her mind. She would not and could not think about that.

It made sense for Kas to be open to training. The most valuable lessons, she had found in the past, were those given by your peers.

Your fellow Padawans are in very similar situations, and understood how annoying learning certain things could be. Which is why learning from them is so valuable. They understand better than any of the higher-ups could.

"Sensing through the force?" Valoria said with a small nod. "Good. That's a good starting point. I could probably teach you most things, most of the basics at least."

Her knowledge is fairly well rounded, as far as things went. It wasn't a lack of knowledge that held her back most of the time.

It was her own lack of confidence most of the time.

"It's down to what you want to learn most really. I'd recommend steering away from lightsaber techniques though. That is probably one thing that you should learn from a proper teacher. Don't want you to injure yourself or anything. Not again."

It would likely be ideal for Kas to not end up in the medical wing again. At that rate he'd never get anywhere with his training.

The only thing he would get is very familiar with the medwing and its staff.

Kas sat in the medical bed as he glanced and listened to Valoria speak. She answered his questions which still left him believing becoming a Jedi at such a young age rather limiting. No not limiting. Almost as if it was slight enforcement with little choice for young children.

A child can be moulded into various things in life in whatever environment they're raised within by others. Kas was fortunate enough to be within his family and raised properly by them.

He did catch the mentioning of some young Jedi reaching the age of sixteen they'd either be taken on by a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master who'd server as their mentor. Kas was eighteen now alongside his twin sister Seri. They weren't recognised by any of the Knights or Masters as potential students.

Caden now sixteen he might have a better chance than his older siblings. It was between Kas and Seri that they'd enrol themselves into the Jedi Apprentice program. The two learn, study and train independently with each other and can pick up activities from all Jedi members.

Kas and Seri believed it was far too late for them to come across a mentor or as it was stated by Valoria. A master to teach and train them both they felt this was something they had to do on their accord. They haven't met many Jedi Knights or Jedi Masters since coming to Tython.

"Hope you have a master or find one soon Ria. It's way too late for Caden, Seri and I since we're older students only having recently been inducted into the Order. We'll just be learning and training a lot everyday once I'm better. We've not came across any Knights or Masters."

Kas admitted honestly with Valoria. No point in denying the truth or facts. The trio of Larsens were kept away from anything related to the Jedi by their parents. However, it seemed the Force had drawn them to accept their heritage and carry on their parents' legacy.

Adjusted himself in his medical bed and having another sip of his water before speaking again. Kas had a moment of reflection about Jedi training not just for himself but for his siblings.

His attention diverted back to reality and onto Valoria when she mentioned there are basics she can teach Kas. Maybe even teaching Caden and Seri too if that was an option she'd be comfortable with. It might have a positive outlook from other members in the Jedi Order.

"Yeah. Think it is called Force Sense or something Ria. Seems Caden, Seri and I are able to use it quite well. Like as if it is second nature to us. I dunno." Kas said to Valoria.

It seemed perhaps with the Larsen offspring that their mother and father had possibly passed down some traits in the Force onto Caden, Kas and Seri that even they didn't know about. Even Ajax and Elah came out of retirement to re-enter the New Jedi Order as Jedi Masters.

It'd be questioned perhaps by the current active Knights and Masters. The two were the kind of Jedi not to involve themselves with any political matters in the Jedi.

"Well the three of us are open to learn anything from any of the other Jedi that are comfortable teaching and training us. We've read up on some info on Luke Skywalker and his Praxeum. We think that's how and what Ma' and Pa' want us to be. Jedi from that era." The apprentice said to her.

Kas had a smirk on his face when Valoria mentioned to steer away from Lightsaber related training to avoid ending up back inside of the Medical Bay. A brief shake of his head to her.

He can't limit his learning and training but he wouldn't be reckless or stupid about it either.

"Can't be put off by any aspects of Jedi training but doesn't mean I can't be careful either Ria. I'll not be reckless when I go find teachers and trainers in that field of training. Besides got Caden, Seri and you to keep me in check ahaha." Kas said with a grin and chuckled.

Kas revealed with that last statement that Valoria was welcomed and apart of his inner circle. One of respect and trust. This was a great sign and hopefully that was an aspect Valoria would find rather pleasing with it being said by Kas. Caden and Seri would happily welcome the Twi'lek as a close friend since she came by to check in on their brother.

He looked over to Valoria and had a facial expression where backed by his next set of words. Kas wasn't going to let his injuries slow down his Jedi training. He'll learn what he can while here.

"So Ria, you mentioned about the Basics. Where do you want to begin?" Kas asked Valoria waiting.

eAERo4S.png

Valoria tensed at the mention of a master. That was starting to encroach on that wide range of topics about herself the Valoria preferred not to speak on. Especially this particular one. It was sensitive, even more so than all the rest. She let that comment slide, choosing not to further open discussion on that matter, if only for her own self-preservation. There had been many complications around her in term of that and she was not willing to project those issues of her own onto Kas.

She ignored the comments on the master stuff entirely, steering the conversation back to safety.

"I imagine you guys have a lot to catch up on, especially considering you've only just started here."

She was surprised, really, that he'd only just started his training. With his parents being Jedi Masters, it was hard to believe that they wouldn't have started it straight away, the second he could walk and talk and hold a training saber. Not when he was almost an adult. Like, how could his parents not have suspected that they were force sensitive? Surly they knew, right? It was almost inevitable that Kas and his siblings would be.

"Why is that, by the way? Why did you guys start so late?" She asked, unable to help herself. "You are right in calling it force sense, by the way. One of the first things I was taught to look for and identify. The force signature within others. Considering your heritage, I wouldn't be surprised if it came to you with more ease."

The era Kas spoke of was a long time ago. Much had changed since then. It was pretty much as old as you could get. So the fact that his parents wanted him to be like that really did say a lot. Kas carried a lot of expectations on his shoulders.

"I hope you won't be reckless again. You gave everyone quite a shock, if I must be the one to say so."

It was true. Learning of Kas's condition had put everyone on high alert on the walk. No-one had wanted to join him in the med-bay. Valoria included. Although it seemed she ended up there regardless of the fact that she'd sustained no injury.

"Are you sure it's wise to start now? In here? You think you're up for it?"
She asked, real concern audible in her voice. "You only just came around again, we don't want you to strain yourself to the point where you pass out again. Plus, the medical staff may never let me near you again for the fear that I might affect your recovery rate."

And being banned from the med-bay would also not look so good on her record.

Not at all.

When the questions of asking about a master with Valoria was spoken tension emitting from the Twi'lek Padawan Learner. Kas didn't need to feel it through the Force. There was a change coming Valoria and he didn't press on that topic any further. To let the Twi'lek settle down more with him.

His attention focused on the next subjects that Valoria made comments on and he smiled to her.

"Yeah we'll have a lot to get through. Doesn't surprise us though. We're a team and always help each other out. Suppose that's the sibling bond we share hah." Kas said to Valoria.

Ajax and Elah did know that their children had abilities in the Force but they had chosen to retire from the New Jedi Order lifestyle. Settle down and have a genuine family to raise. It might be the case that the Larsen children trio will pick things up quicker than infants and younger students. In which that might show fellow Jedi how far they can progress as Jedi.

Kas turned his attention to answer Valoria's first question about why he and his siblings came into the New Jedi Order in the later years of life. Cleared his throat and sipped more water.

"Well when my folks explained to us that they were Jedi Masters and believed they had given their best and everything to the cause. It was their time to settle down. They were hesitant in sending us off to the unknown while really young. More or less it was them being good parents."

Even he wasn't so sure of the reasons for his parents holding him and siblings back from becoming aware of the Force fully or consider going to the New Jedi Order.

In truth that wasn't the only Force ability Kas was able to naturally pick up on without a lot of effort. Same applied to his twin sister Seri and his younger brother Caden. They were gifted.

"Well guess we'll find out and see what we're capable of down the line hah. It wasn't hard mind you. I remember making a deck of Pazaak Cards float above our family table back home. Caden was able to heal minor cuts Seri and I had while playing. Seri though any time I or anyone tried to sneak up on her she had this Sense where she could avoid any dangers to herself."

Kas mentioned that his younger brother was perhaps able to use a basic application of Force Healing on minor cuts and scrapes. Seri using perhaps Danger Sense to feel around her areas. All while Kas had displayed the use of Telekinesis in making small objects levitate.

"Sorry Ria. Didn't intend to cause a panic but I felt out of place. Even though I was attempting to social and interact with everyone in the group. It might have been... A little too much for me. Although no-one else has came here or sent any messages to see how I am."

Slight guilt weighed in upon Kas' mind that was the last thing he wanted anyone to go through. It seemed Valoria was the first of the other students to show compassion towards Kas in the situation he endured and the aftermath he was currently going through.

Annoyed and sad that besides his siblings and Valoria came to check on him. He hoped maybe now that he was awake and on the road to recovery. More visitors would come by to see him.

"Thanks for coming though Ria. Nice of you to check in on me. I won't be reckless in future." With his good and strong arm, hand. Kas gave Valoria a thumbs up gesture with a smile.

When the Twi'lek spoke with a concerned voice in her tone Kas wasn't going to push himself but he did need to occupy himself with some activities to keep him sane and safe from boredom.

"We'll go at a Bantha's pace. I won't push myself Ria promise." Kas gave Valoria that confidence and reassurance he wouldn't be foolishly trying to do things he cannot do or make himself worse.

Besides they did do a lot of talking and learned a little bit more about one another while inside of the Medical Bay. A little change of pace wouldn't do any harm to anyone.

eAERo4S.png

Valoria's interest grew a little as Kas spoke of his siblings and his own ability with the force. It came as no surprise, considering his parents were former Jedi masters, that he would be naturally adept in his ability to wield the force.

Of course, that would make things easier for her. She would be useless at actually getting someone to harness the force in the first place. She could teach a few skills, things she'd learnt that would build off already existent knowledge.

She was glad that he'd once again let the subject of her prior training and master drop. It may not be entirely fair to keep him in the dark, especially after he'd told her so much about himself, but nothing anyone did would be enough to convince her to open those floodgates.

"It's probably for the best that you already know some of the basic stuff. I rather doubt I'd be able to teach you anything from scratch." She wasn't that good. "It sounds like you possess a lot of natural talent. Must run in the family." Valoria said, offering a hesitant smile.

It must've been nice, having people you trusted around you who understood exactly what it was to learn all this stuff. There were no immediate relations of Valoria who were force sensitive. The fact that she was force sensitive had been completely uncalled for.

She found his gaze as he started to apologise. There really was no need. He couldn't have helped it. No-one was to blame for what had happened.

"Hey, I get it. Adapting to new places and people can be challenging. Sometimes things just don't click. And that's alright. You don't have to be friends with everyone. Perhaps you just haven't found your people yet. You've only been here for what? A couple days? You can't expect things to happen instantly. Give it some time. You'll make more friends soon enough."

Valoria shrugged slightly, lightening the mood.

"In the meantime, I won't be going anywhere anytime soon."

Both because he was somebody she was able to tolerate, and because she was quite literally not leaving this planet anytime soon in the foreseeable future.

"Don't thank me. Really. But I'm glad to hear that in the future you'll take a little more consideration before you act without thinking. And if you really do want me to teach you, trust me, we will take things slow."

Valoria had never taught anyone much before. Obviously, she'd helped her fellow learners before, but that was during class, whilst they were just younglings. And she only helped with small things at that. This almost felt entirely out of her zone. He should learn most things from someone older than herself, with more experience. Not that she hadn't had her fair share of experience. But her experience was with learning. Not teaching.

But supposedly the best way to retain knowledge was by teaching someone else.

So that's what she'd try to do.

Kas listened to Valoria as she was explaining that she would be capable of teaching and helping him with the basics in the Force. Ironically, with his age and the same can be said about his siblings; Caden and Seri, they're quick learners and the fact that both his parents were Jedi. Strong in the Force but one was a Jedi Guardian, his father Ajax, and the other being a Jedi Sentinel, his mother Elah. Kas wasn't one to boast about his capabilities but to uphold legacy.

"Heh well that is true to consider. Ma' and Pa' were strong in the Force, still are but hid it from me and my siblings. Ma' was a Sentinel, a jack of all trades and Pa' was a Guardian."

Kas shared with Valoria as the topic of his Force abilities and parents came about in their conversation. He chuckled and grinned over to the Twi'leks comments. Lightening the mood.

It may be both a blessing and curse in having a family that consists of Force Sensitives that can relate and share with each other in their experiences. Although upholding a family's legacy can be a heavy burden on one's shoulders sometimes.

"I suppose I was going too deep and quick to expect friendships to be made when I first arrived. Guess it's due to having strong bonds with Caden and Seri. Familial bonds y'know." Kas said.

Kas was the type of individual that got on with things but didn't want to shun anyone aside into ignorance. It'd leave guilt upon Kas that can could lead him into being isolated from others.

Loneliness isn't something Kas would cope well with whenever he can control or input certain activities that can bring some opportunities towards him.

"Yeah I guess you're right in saying that to me. Auren, Jobbi and Xuko were friendly. Wonder if they'll come visit but guess their studies and training takes top priority. I'll give it time."

Kas agreed with Valoria as they continued their discussion while inside of the Medical Bay. Adjusted his position in the medical bed and sipped some more water from his cup.

Valoria did succeed in bringing the mood up a beat or few for Kas.

"Well. We better make good use of our time - in not going anywhere real soon hah." Kas smirked.

The thought of Valoria being a good friend and it seemed this connection of bonding as fellow students had grown into a friendship that both enjoyed each other's presence.

"Yeah. I'm always keen to learn Ria. Doesn't matter how big or small it is. Learning is learning." Kas gave Valoria a thumbs up gesture with his good hand bringing confidence to her.

Things will need to be slow or well, taken slowly by Kas. He cannot bash ahead and rush into matters. Patience and thoughts were required. A trait that will be discovered for Valoria to see that came from his mother's upbringing. He has the spirit of his father too.

Once he is fit to leave the Medical Bay and able to attend classes and training sessions. Kas will go all out like a man on a mission. Not being reckless about it though.

He waits patiently to hear and see what Valoria had on the table to teach him more as a Jedi.

In her eyes, there was nothing wrong with putting yourself out there. But if you did, you had to be expecting to fall. Falling is the first motion in anything new you did. It helped you learn and understand how things work. It gave you reason to strive for your best.

"I'm certain others will come visit at some point. I imagine everyone else is just busy. They all have stuff to do."

Unlike her. She had mountains of spare time. More often than not she was bored out of her mind. That's how she ended up here in the first place. Cause she had nothing better to do. Although now she was glad she'd taken the time to visit. He wasn't what she'd originally thought he was.

At least helping him learn wouldn't be a waste of her time.

Learning. Right. What was there that she could teach him that required little effort on his behalf? In truth, their options were kind of limited. It wasn't that there weren't skills he could learn whilst being bed-bound. Valoria was certain there were plenty. It was the fact that she didn't feel half comfortable in teaching him most of them, mainly because she was still learning them herself.

"Considering you're immobile it kind of limits our options here." Valoria said, more speaking to herself than anything at this point.

She supposed they could simply practice something he already knew. That would be more than easy. Perhaps a little too boring though. Something new then, new but simple enough. Or at least the basics of something new.

"You mentioned before that you can already sense other's force signatures, right?"

She was fairly certain he had. Valoria could work with that. It had been one of the first things she'd been taught herself. So she should be capable of teaching it. Theoretically.

"If that is the case, I can probably teach you something around that kind of field. How to strengthen your ability to feel other's force signatures or how to somewhat conceal your own. Make it harder for others to sense you. Or sense someone who is weakly concealing their signature. I should be able to teach you anything in that sort of stream. Maybe. I can give you some pointers at the very least."

Considering her situation and what had happened, maybe it wasn't the greatest for him to be learning from her. But she wanted to at least try to be of some help to someone, even if it were just one of her fellow Padawan's.

A sigh came from Kas as he leaned back a little against the pillows rested up against his back that were providing comfort for him. Nodded his head gently and briefly agreeing with Valoria.

"It would be nice to see some of them again. Apologise for the worries I may have caused some."

Kas never wanted anyone to waste their efforts or time in vain. He was one that'd value all of that no matter how much of an impact is it to him or to others around him. At least his twin sister and younger brother were making progress as Jedi. They too became Jedi Apprentices.

He was hopeful that more friendships can be formed in the near future ahead of him. Fellow students know of him and possibly some Knights and Masters too. Just needed to wait for it all.

Valoria was kind enough to use her spare time in getting to know Kas. At least this was a step in the right direction for him to become more socially active among others. Just being with his siblings majority of the time wasn't doing him or them any justice. It needed to change for them.

"True might be limited to a certain point but I'm sure there are topics I can learn Ria. Got faith in you hah. 'Course I am taking it slow for now. Not do anything drastic." Kas said to her.

Learning and practicing some of the basics will be a good start for Kas. It was welcomed and appreciated as Valoria was hoping to teach Kas a few things or so. He believed she can do well.

The trust in their friendship continued to grow and that was something to value always.

Turned his attention back to the Twi'lek as she had questioned his ability in using Force Sense.

"Yeah that's right Ria. Able to use the Force Sense ability to do that mhm. No doubt there is a lot more hah." The way some described the Force it was apparent Kas has a lot to learn still.

"Able to conceal my own presence in the Force? Hah sounds sneaky. Plus strengthening my focus in being able to detect others energies better too? Sounds handy. I'm up for it Ria."

There it was that attitude and spirit Kas had inherited from his father. Dedicated and determined ready to focus on progressing further as a Jedi. A smile on his face.

eAERo4S.png

Her brow furrowed slightly in sympathy as he sighed. It can't have been easy, sitting with the knowledge that no-one had even come to visit you. Not even whilst you were asleep. Valoria decided it best just to move on from the topic. Nothing she could say or do would change the facts. It would just continue to drag the mood down if they stayed on this topic.

Valoria instead started trying to figure out how the hell she was going to teach him to conceal himself. It was a concept she had fairly under wraps herself. She had no doubt in her own ability to perform it. But teaching was much different to performing an ability.

"Alright. If at any point you start to feel drained or get a headache or feel the slightest discomfort, you say so and we'll stop right away. We're not sacrificing your recovery for the sake of this. And I mean it. If I find out later that you tried to push on through the pain, I will not be impressed. At all. Understood?"

She didn't continue speaking until she had his relative agreeance.

"Good. Right." Now where was she going to start? "Can you feel my force signature? Sense for it now. I'm not concealing it or anything, simply seeing how easy it is for you to identify it."

That was as good a place to start already. She'd already identified his force signature. It was almost like a second nature to her. So long as the person opposite her wasn't concealing, she could identify it in a moment's notice.

Once she was certain he could identify hers, she'd give him her next instruction. In truth, she hadn't the faintest what it would be yet. It was admittedly more difficult than she'd assumed. But it didn't matter. She could figure it out.

Her position shifted slightly, so that she was now sitting on the chair properly again. It allowed the environment to feel more open, more welcoming. She'd heard someone say once that a warm environment led to people feeling more comfortable to reach out, take a risk and try something new.

"No pressure or anything." She added. "Take your time."

Moving on from the topic based around friends and connections being a delicate subject for Kas to endure. Ever since arriving on Tython he only made a couple of friends back in the CorSec Academy. He did miss them but life goes on and that was a little hard to accept at first. Kas did process things and it was a gradual but slow process.

His attention fully focused on Valoria as the two would have a little session between themselves. Kas was excited and grateful that the Twi'lek female Padawan Learner to take time in teaching.

"Alright Ria. I won't push myself in risking my recovery. Promise." Kas gave his word to Valoria.

The apprentice sat in the medical bed listening and watching the Padawan Learner speak. He began to close his eyes over in receiving his first instruction from Valoria. He began to centre his mind clearing all active and recent thoughts he had brewing within it.

Kas began to trust in the Force where it started to help guide his senses where he was reaching out to feel Valoria's aura and presence. It was like a heart beating away keeping to a rhythm like as if there was water flowing to the current of river stream.

There! The energy and presence felt through the Force. Kas allowed his Force energy used to detect Valoria's. The atmosphere was calm and warm here despite this being the Medical Bay. The last place anyone or anything wanted to be located within.

"Yeah. I can feel it Ria. Its.. Rather nice focusing on this in a quiet environment." Kas said.

He was taking it slow bidding his time not to rush into it and not let himself get overwhelmed or stress his body or mind whilst doing this. It was good to hear that Valoria was patient.

"Alright Ria. What's next?" Kas asked Valoria he was calm not fatigued and ready to move on.

eAERo4S.png

She nodded in agreement at his last observation. The silence was nice. It gave her space to think. Allowed her mind to wander. Although, she often found things a little too quiet these days. It was good regardless right now. It would certainly make things easier for Kas.

She was glad that it hadn't taken too long for him to sense her force signature. It meant he was fairly adept at it and that she didn't need to teach him how to do that before she taught him how to conceal.

"Alright, that's good. It's a good starting point."

The next most logical thing to do is to simply show it, right? Let him feel what it was like when the person was trying to conceal it.

"I'm going to conceal my own force signature, so you can get some sort of idea as to how it should feel to the other person. It won't disappear completely, it'll still be present, but rather it'll come across as somewhat muted." She explained as best she could. "You'll just have to concentrate harder if you want to sense and identify it."

Hopefully he wouldn't have to concentrate too hard. She didn't remind him not to push himself too hard, as she was trusting he'd tell her when it became too much.

"Okay. I'm going to conceal it now."

Closing her eyes, she focused inwards, feeling the slow rise and fall of her own breath. It took a moment longer than usual for her to centre herself, due to the fact that she really hadn't done that much with the force over the past few months. After a short moment, she'd found that familiar balance. She took that balance, her connection to the force, and let it disperse into the space around her. This was, effectively, thinning her signature. Making it harder for Kas to feel her force signature. She couldn't conceal it entirely yet. That took years of practice. But she could make it harder to detect. Much harder.

She didn't go to the full extent that she could, more to ensure Kas didn't lose her signature or anything. That's not what she was aiming for here. She wanted him to feel the way it faded, the way it had been muffled. Still present but not clear.

"Can you feel that? The way it's dispersed so that pinpointing the exact location of my signature is more difficult than it was before?" She asked, ensuring that he was still following along. "It's the early stages of concealment. I can't execute it properly yet, but it's the beginnings of its development. And about to the extent that I'll be teaching you." She could push it a little further if she'd wanted, but it would have required unnecessary mental strain. Especially for something that was simply an example.

Objective: Learning to use Force Sense

Kas kept his eyes closed while letting his concentration and instincts be guided by the Light side of the Force. The planet nexus was strong and it helps a lot of Force Sensitives connect. Kas being a natural the usage of any Force abilities seem to be second nature to him. Still required a little guidance from others that are more experienced than him.

The quiet and silent environment atmosphere was helpful just hearing the odd mechanical noises from some of the machinery within the Medical Bay's equipment. Kas able to go beyond those.

"Alright Ria. I'll not push too far." Again Kas gave that promise of reassurance to Valoria.

Just listening to the Twi'lek's words where Kas would expect his efforts already spent would need to be increased once Valoria began concealing her Force Signature. When Kas had felt it before the difference was now clear from how Valoria explained what it'd be like.

It was like a decrease in heat - temperatures dropping in a sense in how Kas thought about it. The signature of Valoria's presence in the Force had shrunk as if it were flickering and began to fade from being easily detectable.

"Huh. I can't sense your signature as easy now Ria." Kas smiled as he admitted that to Valoria.

In saying this to the Twi'lek it'd hopefully give her confidence that she was doing good as a teacher and her skill in using Force Concealment was recognised by another. Kas gave her the respect and faith in herself.

Not straining or stressing himself a slight frown appeared on Kas' face and eyebrows. He inhaled through his nostrils calmly and deeply to remain relaxed. Letting out an exhale to start upping his focus in attempting to detect Valoria's presence in the Force once more.

What he was able to sense before by using Force Sense didn't come to him as easily as it did prior to Valoria using the Force to make it more difficult for anyone to pick out her Force Signature. It required Kas to concentrate deeper and let the Force guide him further along.

"Yeah. I can feel it isn't as easy as it was before to pick up your presence. It is like as if it's scattered around. I'm not able to detect your signature as I did beforehand." He said.

Kas was following along with what Valoria was teaching him. Hopefully that gave the Twi'lek more reassurance as her friend wasn't drifting away. This displayed his focus and willpower despite being injured and in recovery currently. Yet he continued to concentrate that bit more.

He wasn't pushing himself too hard and kept to his word with Valoria. Not putting his recovery at risk by fatiguing his usage in Force abilities. No doubt Jedi Healers were alert and kept a close watch over Kas. A few admired that he was starting to bounce back from his prior ordeal.

eAERo4S.png

His response was as she'd expected.

The fact that he was able to identify her signature but not narrow in on it was promising. For both her own ability and his. Not to mention that he was able to acknowledge that her signature was spread throughout the space around her, effectively blending it in with the ever-present pulse of the force that hummed around them.

Valoria's eyes flickered open now. Now that she'd done the initial concealment, she could hold it for a while with less effort required on her behalf. She looked over at him with curiosity. Perhaps even a little impressed. Though that only stayed in her gaze for a moment. Kas, with his eyes closed, would be none the wiser that she'd ever looked at him that way.

She could tell he was a natural. His ability to sense the change and be able to notice the difference between before and after spoke volumes about him. She had a feeling he'd go far in this universe.

"That's perfect." His attempts to make her feel more comfortable and confident in teaching him hadn't been in vain. Kas would be able to hear it in her voice.

"Take note of how it feels. The way it seems to spread across the space yet still originate back to me. Obviously, true concealment, at our level, isn't possible. There's no point trying to separate it fully from yourself. It will never work. Instead, we have to settle for this simplified version."

For the most part, Valeria was simply repeating what she'd been told when she first started learning this ability.

She let her signature drift back to her, so he could feel how the change occurs.

"When you do it you need to almost push it away from yourself. It's like..."

She broke off, changing her train of thought.

"Okay, try looking at it this way. So, I'm certain you know this already, but the force is all around us, all the time. When you're concealing yourself, what you're essentially doing is spread your signature out far enough that the force that always surrounds us and your signature become indistinguishable from one another."

That's how she viewed it at least.

"Does that make sense? Found the concept a little confusing at first, but it's one of those things where you have to try it first before anything actually clicks properly."

Valeria gave a small smile, pushing her signature outwards again in another demonstration. She'd learnt it through imitation, so it made sense for her to teach it that way.

Objective: Learning Force Concealment

This certainly was something to experience and continue his efforts within as Valoria gave her attention and time for Kas to advance further in the Force. This was the start in his training.

Unable to pinpoint it down right off the bat. Kas' upped his concentration where he was starting to pick out Valoria's presence being spread around them. It was like a swirling pool of energy that blended among other pockets of signatures. Interesting to feel this Kas thought to himself.

Letting it be second nature for him and not enforce his ability in using Force Sense to trace down the Twi'leks aura in the Force. He didn't boast or brag in being a natural in using this.

"This is something else Ria. Guess this is one of the reasons you're becoming a Jedi Sentinel."

A smile appeared on Kas' face as he heard Valoria's words spoken. The way he can pick up the tone of her voice seemingly relating to her confidence and his appreciation of her teaching so far.

When she said to take note of how this all feels within the senses he had enhanced through using the Force. The differences he can register made sense for him to understand how the concealment ability operates when used. He remains keen to learn and practice this ability as a Sentinel.

"Yeah. Spreading the signature makes the most sense Ria. No doubt more experienced and skilled practitioners of this concealment can really hide their presence from everyone, everything and perhaps for long periods of time too." Kas said to Valoria while he understood her statement.

Next he felt the Twi'leks signature in the Force return to the normal state as his senses informed Kas there was another change unfolding. One of returning to normality from Valoria.

Listening to her explain how she was taught and practiced this ability from the one who taught concealment to her. Kas understood. The way Valoria described her train of thought was great.

"I get you Ria that makes a lot of sense in the way you've explained it." Kas said to Valoria. "Spreading your presence with the other energies around us in the Force. It's a good initial start in how this technique operates Ria."

This was helping Kas out quite a bit and he felt another change surrounding Valoria's signature in the Force where it was spreading back out to other energies that were present through the Force. The lesson so far was enjoyable and left Kas determined to accomplish set tasks given.

Waiting for the next step in what Valoria wanted to share with him. Altering his concentration and focus each time the Twi'lek changed her Force Signature within his vicinity of sensing it.
