To Lord Over The Shadows [K.Z]

Thule... It was always Thule, and yet at the same time it was fitting. After all, this was the epicentre of the Sector, and it was for such purposes that Kara had arrived upon this specific planet. No longer did she hide her ship out in the wilderness, instead it landed down in the main spaceport and the young Sith permitted herself a shorter yet cultured walk up to the Citadel itself, the Palace within which @[member='Kaine Zambrano'] awaited, a Sith Lord she was somewhat familiar with by now. Once, when she was still an Apprentice, he and his Apprentice Balaya assisted her in her Alchemical learnings - of course he was not her first nor her last teacher in such an art, something she was still to this day learning. There was no need to rush, for doing so caused problems and created mistakes nine times out of ten.

Once again her feet paced the halls of the Citadel, winding through to the central throne room within which she believed she might find her host. Of course the likelihood was that he wasn't sat on the throne at all, as often he followed her love of shadow-roaming, but that did not matter. He always knew, and he always appeared. Part of her knew that today would be no different. And thus she strode into the high-vaulted ceiling, habit forcing her to glance up to the mist-filled rafters which she could effortlessly see through with thanks to her heritage. Others, she knew, had much more difficulty. Then she strode into the centre where she halted and waited, her gaze fixed to the throne while her senses were focused on the room as a whole. Was Kaine here already, or would her wait be a long one?

For once Kaine was not sitting upon his throne awaiting his visitors, instead he was in the adjacent chamber handing off a sealed scroll to a hooded sorcerer before sending him off into the depths of the Castle. Once the servant was away Kaine returned to the throne room to meet with the young Kära, whose name and spelling was very, very close to his apprentice, Kára. Hopefully no one would get confused by this. Kaine regarded Kära with a polite bow and a smile, "Ah, Miss Vi'dreya! It's so good to see you, you've grown so much." Compared to his frame, it wasn't that much. Kaine was a mound of height and muscles due to his species' natural height and muscle tone as well as decades of physical training and conditioning that made the monster Kaine was. "Now tell me, what is this business with Bastion you wished to see me about?"

"My, my, very little gets past you now, does it?" she mused aloud, with a very slight and largely unseen smile - something she rarely did - upon seeing and hearing the approach of Kaine Zambrano. When he remarked about her size she glanced down and then back up again, with a humoured look upon her face. "Have I? I barely noticed." And then it was time to turn serious, after all it seemed that they both knew why he was here, they might aswell get it over and done with. As such she stepped around towards where he stood and lowered her head and then her body into a small bow of respect towards him - he was, after all, a Sith Lord, and Sith generally respected the chain of command, at least those who sought Order in the Galaxy... Which was largely less than it should have been, all things considered. "Ah, Bastion; such a wonderful little planet, within your Sector too, I believe... Which is truly why I am here, my Lord Zambrano. You see, I'd like to take over its governance, if you would permit it, and bring its true worth into fruition for the Empire at large. With so many planets in your Sector, I'm sure you could use a hand maintaining them. No offence intended by that, of course, my Lord." As ever she was the epitome of regal and polite, her words genuine for once, showing none of their typical deception.

Kaine smiled, "No offence at all, my dear Kära. Sector I is indeed the largest of the three Sectors in the Empire, and I pride myself on that. The capital of both the Empire and the former Imperium both lie within my borders, and there are many dissidents within the former Imperium's territory that need to be kept in check." He contemplated for a moment, but just a moment. "And I believe that you would be the perfect person to help me instill order and stability to the recently annexed worlds, but... there is also a considerable amount of responsibility, trial and tribulations to taking up such a title. Then again I have the utmost faith in your abilities to take up this mantle, and by my decree I pronounce you the Governor of Bastion." There was not much he needed to see from Kära to further validate her claim to the world, he had seen much from this young woman in the time she's been in the Empire, and he was confident she could handle this. There was the small matter of one thing, however.

"There is the fact that there will be some amount of paperwork and ceremony for this. However; before that can all happen you have to assert yourself into that position on Bastion, and make sure your claim is not contested. Further pacify the world and proclaim yourself as Governor, then return to me and we will officially put you in office. I will inform my soldiers and commanders of your intent, now go with my grace to Bastion. Your destiny awaits you."

Somewhere along the line, it would seem, Kara had managed to grab the attention of this particular Sith Lord. While stating the difficulties involved, and the trials which lay ahead if she wanted Bastion in more than just name alone, he gave his blessing for her to begin its subjugation. This led to a few moments of thought from the young Umbaran, she hadn't expected his approval so quickly, her actions in the Empire were often slow to be noticed, after all she was the shadow walker, she was subtle and manipulative at the best of times. But as she had previously said, little was lost on Kaine. "I thank you for your faith, My Lord Zambrano, and I will be sure to bring order, stability and even prosperity to the people within Bastion, for the sake of yourself and the Empire at large."

Her hands slipped down to the base of her back as she pondered further, watching him as he spoke of the procedure. But it wasn't something she worried about, she was good at pulling strings. Of course she would need to be much more assertive than she usually was in order to pull this off, they would not want to wait weeks, months, years to see what she was capable of. No, that would be the only part that Kara found a challenge, yet it was one she was willing to undergo. And to be working under this particular Sith Lord? Even better. Just as he had faith in her she too had faith in his position as a Sith Lord, but maybe that was because she had interacted him much more than the others. "I shall see to this at once, my Lord."

And with that she bowed her body lowly towards him and turned on her heels to leave, after all there was no use in superficially standing around idly talking about the weather and other such phatic expressions.
