To Hunt a Jedi [Open to IR] (Non-IR Please PM to Join)

Butch Mahan

Si vis pacem, para bellum
For three weeks a Jedi had gone with impunity, disrupting Imperial forces across Kamino. Several Imperial commanders, Naval and Army alike, had failed to capture the elusive light sider. Mahan had been called back from the front to deal with this problem himself, his first action was to relieve the current officer in charge of the manhunt, a Brigadier General Massz, pitiful Trandoshan who could barely lead an army made of tin much less an actual division. The Trandoshan had been a support commander, dealing mainly with long range artillery before being assigned something more frontline, and back from whence he came he would go, that is if Mahan didn't have him relieved of duty for his severe incompetence in letting one simple Jedi remain on the Imperial Remnant's capital.

A lone Allegiance class Star Destroyer entered the orbit of Kamino, the Providence, established flagship of the Grand Admiral. From its large belly exited a Lambda class Shuttle, heading towards the planet surface. Following came four TIE fighters, escorting the shuttle to the surface. Within minutes they arrived on the planet surface, rain hailing down as per usual in Tipoca City. As the shuttle set down on the platform, the landing bay door opened to reveal the Grand Admiral escorted by several Navy Troopers, the infantry of the Imperial Navy. The Grand Admiral exited down the catwalk towards the Imperial Navy Spaceport, to either side of him a long line of Stormtroopers, standing at attention. Mahan paid them no mind as he entered the spaceport, being met by three Naval Officers, the highest of which a Captain, no doubt the Commander in charge of this Spaceport. They snapped to attention with a crisp salute, met by Mahan's own salute, "Captain, I presume you know my agenda for the day, if it would be of no trouble, I wish to be at the temporary operating command center immediately." The captain kept his stoic expression, "Your shuttle has already been prepared, and is ready for take off at your orders sir," Mahan nodded in gratitude and turned to his own escort. Without a word, the Navy Troopers stood at attention, then returned to the shuttle, being assigned to the Providence they were required to return, Mahan intended to follow the protocol. With that out of the way, the captain led him to the shuttle, where it had indeed been prepared for take off.

A short flight across Kamino and Mahan was present at the TOCC which had been set up purely to stop this Jedi nuisance. It was an embarrassment to have such a high profile criminal running about the Remnant's capital, conducting small attacks on Imperial forces, this would not be allowed to continue, not under Mahan's command. The senior officers of the TOCC had arrived at the landing pad to attend the Grand Admiral's arrival, saluting his exit from the shuttle. Mahan returned the favor, but did not stop moving towards the seized office complex serving as the command center. Upon entry, Mahan wiped some rain off his temple and stopped to face Brigadier General Massz, "General Massz," The general stood at attention, "Yes sir?" Mahan conducted the next sentence without falter, "You are hereby being relieved of duty, you shall return on my shuttle to Joint Forces Command where you will receive your new assignment." The Trandoshan responded without emotion, "Yes sir." With a final salute, the Trandoshan returned the way they had came, heading towards the Imperial shuttle. Now, with that out of the way, Mahan could truly begin his new campaign, rooting out the Jedi scum hidden within the planet.

She was now being hunted in the stationary city scapes of the planet. For now her efforts to disrupt things had worked but it was time to go. Trouble was there were a lot of storm troopers flying about here lookign for her now. She'd managed to use vents and ducts to evade some but each only went so far. Carefully looking around a corner she noted some troopers passing by and ducked back as they passed. She'd wanted more special intel but the Imperials had put everything important behind good security so that didint happen worth anything. As she moved along carefully she sought out a ship to escape on. She needed off this planet otherwise it'd be a matter of time before she was caught. As she moved unfortunately one saw her. She heard his voice easily enough. "We found her! Sector ten floor three!" As she began to run she took up her saber and brought it up as he fired on her the blaster fire deflected back and taking him down as others followed on. Soon enough another squad forced her to make a turn as they tried to cut her off.

As they rounded the corner she threw a blast of force energy knocking them over in a group giving her time to run again. The chase was on.

Justiciara Noctare – Joon for short – had walked around site where those like her were created. Clones. Genetically created beings made for one purpose. To serve. Her black and tan leather ensemble stood out like the almost bleached whites of the laboratories as she walked in wedged boots beside windows that at one point looked down to thousands of clones themselves preparing for war.

Now, she had found those who created her years ago. The Imperial war-machine was starting again, and her call to serve as a Jedi killer was more important than ever.

Walking up the thick stairs to the surface where the rain lashed, floodlights spilled over the landing pad and illuminated a large shuttle flanked by the white armour of Stormtroopers, the flesh and bone of the Empire itself.

Joon raised her fur lined hood on her cowl and walked through the lights and shadows of the landing pad as the rain fell. Not that it bothered her.

She was here on her own, without guidance or without teacher, but she was here to serve the Imperial forces, and she recognised the insignia of an Admiral in seconds and headed straight for him, amber eyes glowing with a hunger for pain.

”Admiral,” the clone spoke, holding her head high. ”My name is Joon. I live for the Imperial Remant. If there are Jedi here, they will be destroyed.”

It would be quite clear from how she looked, spoke and stood that Joon wasn’t going to tip-toe around in her duties.

Sergius Maro

Maro..... You magnificent b*stard, I READ YOUR BOO
Lieutenant Sergius Maro heard whispers of the Grand Admiral's arrival to Kamino. He had been stationed there for mere guard duty. He had heard of the Jedi harassing the general area, even may have seen the Jedi once or twice. But he hasn't faced the criminal before, and he hadn't really cared to. But the Inquisitors appeared to be failing at their most basic duty of hunting the scourge down. Seeing how the Grand Admiral was here and their was a Jedi on the loose, the Lieutenant sniffed opportunity. He was an ambitious fellow you see, not for the titles but merely to better serve his beloved Empire. He's been taking notice of the lack of a Supreme Commander of the Imperial Army, and seeing the Grand Admiral near his very station....... You can imagine what he was thinking and/or hoping.... The Grand Admiral was a valuable asset both politically and militarily and Maro hoped to take advantage of this so he could serve the Empire the way he felt he should. Call it what you will, a massive ego, an overly ambitious mind, a madman.... But the Lieutenant had plans, lots of plans for the future of the glorious Empire..... Soon he went throughout the complex, hunting down the Grand Admiral in vein hopes of being useful. Soon he found the Duros discharging a Trandoshan Brigadier General, seeing this, he himself stepped forward, not close enough to be out of line but just close enough to stick out for his Grand Admiral to notice him...........

Mahan, finished with the general, turned to the officers which had congregated nearby, he pointed towards three of them, including lieutenant [member="Sergius Maro"], "You three, follow me. The rest of you return to your posts." With that, Mahan made his way towards the war room, but before he arrived, he was held up by an enterprising woman trying to state her importance. Within a few seconds Mahan studied the woman, she did not wear the uniform of a soldier, and she did not carry herself like an Imperial, but she walked and talked with such self confident boosted arrogance, Mahan could not help but identify her as an Inquisitor, "Well then, Joon," Emphasizing his loathing of her presence in her name, "Please, come with me to the war room where you will receive your orders, Inquisitor." Down with the interruption, he arrived at the war room.

The war room was fairly large, big enough to hold at least thirty people, but currently only ten occupied it. In the center was a table with a holographic display as its tabletop rather than wood or metal. Mahan accessed the hologram display and a blueprint of the city they resided in appeared floating in front of them. Mahan spoke with authority, "Now we have determined that this Jedi has been focusing attacks here in Derem city, as such, we are to close off the city from any exiting and entering craft, not carrying Imperial military codes. I want increasing patrols throughout the city, and momentarily we will have a Acclamator class Assault Ship providing sub-orbital support and reinforcements. At any time a sighting of the Jedi is reported, we will have several platoons lock down that position, this Jedi will not escape."

Minutes prior, the Emperor had awoken from a deep slumber. After a grand shower and a quick groom of his ever-greying facial hair, the man equipped his large, onyx trench coat and made his way to the throne room. The large hologram that showed, with great detail, the Imperial Remnant's territories across the sector. Which were all under control of the only High Moff in existence, Grand Admiral Butch Mahan. A good man, and the greatest decision Graf had ever made, promoting the Duro to Grand Admiral of the Imperial Fleet. The Triumvirate was two-thirds of the way completed, along with the Grand Inquisitor and Intelligence Director present. All he required was a Supreme Commander and a Grand Moff.

Straying from his thoughts, the Emperor glanced as one of his Lieutenant Colonels entered the throne room. "Your Excellency, the Grand Admiral has arrived on Kamino. Reports indicate that he has taken over the current Jedi hunt on Derem City." The man reported. Graf scowled, how dare the Jedi of all people meddle on the Remnant's homeworld. "Inform him to contact me in private when he has the opportunity." The Emperor ordered. The Colonel bowed and marched out of the room to carry out his orders. The Emperor had some concerns per se, that the Grand Admiral needed to hear before the hunt proceeded any further.

As she finally evaded the troopers again for now hiding amid maintenance tunnels she moved on trying to reach the southern most city edges. This also gave her time to recover slightly as she moved along. Granted she didint need to do much recovering from simple force shoves but never bad to be able to slow down slightly. However how long she'd have was not known. Eventually she had to leave the tunnels as they didint all go in contentious sections. From where she was she seemed to have reached one of the so far less active sections near one of the many water pump and treatment facilities. She began to move around seeking her way further south.

Maro couldn't help but smirk when the Grand Admiral pointed for him to follow. He knew that he'd stand out, all seemed to be going his way. He didn't quite notice what the other two officers looked like, he likely knew them but hadn't cared to see. He was far to excited, this was the first step to climbing the ladder up. He had high, nay very high hopes of becoming the Supreme Commander..... So far all was going according to plan, until....... A rather gallsy Inquisitor showed her face..... 'Damn!!!' He thought to himself 'She..... Could be quite problematic.... If she ends up defeating the Jedi before I can then I might as well kiss my promotion goodbye..... Although...... Grand Admiral Mehan already appears to show distaste for her..... I'll have to see how this plays out' he gave a dirty eye to the Inquisitor girl, he continued to glare at her as the group followed the Grand Admiral. She likely was aspiring for higher positions as well, but what he himself wanted.... Was near impossible, all he could think about, all that clouded his thoughts, it was a desire..... It was an obsession at this point!! He wanted this position!! In many ways he needed this position..... Supreme Commander of the Imperial Army Sergius Maro..... The thought was intoxicating, it gave him shivers of joy. He wouldn't vocalize it, because he assumed it would lesson his chances of high command knew he wanted the position.... Soon the Grand Admiral elaborated on the Jedi situation, as he finished Maro immediately thought of a question.

"Sir...." He started "If I may, and if it wouldn't be out of line for me to ask....... Assuming you've brought the four of us with you because you specifically want us to deal with this criminal, what resources will be available for our disposal in the capture of the Jedi? I mean, I suppose it is possible though rather unlikely to deal with this criminal with a squadron of five stormtroopers..... I am sure that I and I assume my colleagues here would like a little extra...... If of coarse it isn't out of line for me to ask sir....."

As she continued along she found her way to one of the control centers for security. If she hoped to evade it she had to black out area's to give her room to maneuver.Right now she'd gotten lucky but they would be trying to address the troops levels in quick order. As she opened the door to the room one of the officers turned and went for his blast pistol only for her to pull up her saber again deflecting it back into him. As one of the storm troopers lifted his weapon she sliced the blaster in two and kicked him over a railing into another officer. Before they could get up she then swept her saber across the consoles destroying chunks of it creating small black outs in various sections near by. It waisnt perfect but it would making closing and sealing the area down harder. As one of the troopers came in from the other room she sliced him down with a shout of pain as she then fled. As she fled more storm troopers she was able to swing her saber and take out one kicking another over before one fired blast into her armor which held find but she replied with a slice to his weapon before using the force to knock him over. As she began to run onward down the halls she looked forward only to see in the distance more troopers. Saber up she prepared to enter a small gauntlet. She whispered to herself "The force is my ally and with it I can make it." From here she leap up as the first bolts flew under her as she came down to strike into the squad.

Joon span on her heel and followed the Admiral, noting his rather bitter tone, but not letting it bother her. Back inside they went, through the sleek surroundings of the building and into the so-called war-room.

Security feeds were live, and holo-recordings were playing.

She walked in and stood a little to the side, watching the Admiral and looking around at the Stormtroopers stood there. How she admired the troopers – so brave and selfless in duty, and they were far more effective than people gave them credit for. Maybe since they saved her life helping her flee from a Republic bombardment, she saw them all as her saviours.

With a little smile, she looked away and focused on watching the mighty Imperial military at work, waiting for her orders.
