STRENGTHS

Trailblazer: When swung with destructive purposes in mind, the blade channels an intense, incredible heat that augments its cutting ability and can cause targets to set on fire.

Deceptive Reach: Having been imbued with an alchemised form of shadowstrike, the sword can generate razor sharp slashes of pure force energy capable of cutting objects, creatures and persons at a distance of thirty five feet.

Forged for War: In addition to the aforementioned properties, the sith alchemy used in the weapon’s construction allows the blade to withstand lightsabers, reflect blaster bolts and serve to focus the wielder’s dark side powers. Like lesser sith swords, it can also attract and stores force lightning, being later unleashed at the wielder’s discretion..

Origins Obscure: Taozin nodules used in the construction of the sheath not only obscures the otherwise darkside signature of this weapon, but also the owner's very presence, making them difficult to track or sense within the force.

WEAKNESSES

Considerable Largess: For obvious reasons, the sheer size of this weapon makes it impractical for tight quarters or individuals of a smaller stature.

Weighted with Purpose: Likewise, the weight becomes cumbersome when the blade is used for an extended period of time.

That of the Force: The sword, the sheath and their associated abilities are rendered inert in the presence of force negating effects, e.g. ysalamiri bubbles, voidstone, etc.

And of the Shadow: Like all products of Sith Alchemy, both the sword and the sheath can be damaged by applications of Force Light.

DESCRIPTION

Suspected to have been fashioned during the waning years of the Sith Golden Age, Tiri Nuiuti is said to have been the final parting gift between a Sith Lord and his most favoured retainer, acting as payment for their immeasurable loyal services. Of course, legend also contends the blade's distinctive appearance is owed to this very same retainer's attempt to improve their station by slaying their former master, but that is neither here nor there. If anything, it serves to add a note of dark witticism behind the blade’s name. Final Severance, indeed.

As the Golden Age came fell to a close, so did the blade fall into obscurity as the centuries gave way to millennia, becoming nothing more than a passing footnote in the annals of Sith lore. A cautionary anecdote for those that sought to live by the rule of the sword. No doubt languishing in an unmarked grave for the better part of its existence, only to resurface some decades prior to the common era in the hands of a vicious warlord that held similar ambitions to the blade’s former wielder. A similar fate, by all accounts. Regardless, it entered the Black Convent’s armoury in the year 821, where it very likely would have enjoyed another torturous stretch of obscurity if not for the rebellious streak of one of its prized seekers. Of course, with a history filled with treachery, perhaps it was only natural that it would become the blade of an Apostate.

And at a total of one point six meters in length, a hundred and twenty centimeters of which dedicated to the blade alone, it is quite a weapon for her indeed. A good eight kilos of alchemised quadranium, forged and honed to an almost impossibly sharp edge by dark secrets long since forgotten, while the hilt is made from finely carved jakobeast horn. The grip itself is wrapped in ruddy coloured tuka’ta leather, matching the seemingly nondescript sheath that cunningly manages to hide a taozin nodule in the design. It might have been a beast of a weapon when first forged, but it doesn't seem to be lacking even in its current broken form. A testament to the dark powers of old.
