The magnetic barrel of this firearm cannot withstand the heat generated by this weapon. As such, never fire more than 300 rounds without a replacement and cease firing immediately if you suspect warping. or sense an incorrect sound displacement, at any time.

- This firearm is loud enough to cause hearing damage in humans and is not designed to be suppressed via an emissions muffler. 165 decibels is estimated to be created per shot fired. DESCRIPTION
The Tin-Roberts 851 is a modern rebuild of the 836 M7 Disruptor Carbine. A weapon system created by OPSAAT R&D Specialist, Karen Roberts of Omega Pyre. This new weapon, like it's predecessor, is designed to magnify all known traits of current Disruptor technology with the intent to maximize battlefield potency, durability, and performance.
The weapon's offensive anti-material beam, (or bolt in this case), is created by snap-release capacitor and directed through a magnetic lensing system, or mirror barrel. This creates an average recoil solution while compensating for light-based projectile accuracy. It is an extremely accurate weapon. The weapon cannot jam, can fire while submerged, and is sized for CQC urban combat; all the while still maintain a rifle's clean accuracy, (and anti-material potency), over an impressive distance.
The down-sides are that you are creating a directed thermal eruption with every pull of the trigger. A volcano. Which creates generous amounts of heat and sound. As such, this weapon cannot be effectively suppressed, cannot fire a sustained beam, and slowly warps most modern firing barrels. Indeed. The weapon design is simply too small to accommodate the addition of most modern and industrial thermal shielding technologies effective enough to preserve it's own integrity. To repeat. If you do not replace the barrel before the heat warping occurs, the weapon will explode at the capacitor.
This weapon does not disable vehicles.
