Time to think, time to breathe

And where were the spiders
To say Marek Starchaser was military was to insult those who actually did time behind the gun. Sure, he was a wanderer of the Force, a student of the Zeison Sha, a self-proclaimed Sith Lord, and more recently working on making himself fit in the Knights Obsidian order of the Abrion Corporate Alliance. He had spent the past few weeks assisting a friend, the new president, in her campaign. Working with Alana Flag, the now acting Overseer of the Techno Union.

Starchaser was just what he was. A business man making his way in the galaxy. He had been trying to get himself out of the public eye lately. Especially with his puppeteering of the Abrion Alliance, and being a member of the Tion Hegemony. He was the CEO of a relatively successful business, Bright Star Entertainment, and worked on the board of the Techno Union as a business liason. Something he never studied.

What he did study was the Force, and planetary science. What he didn't study was business and combat. Only one of the latter two were something he was good at. With the Wanderer and Flow safely in the geosync'd orbit around Lianna, he and the Vagrant Wind and the HRD he had purchased as another body guard, seeing as Alana found her true calling, was waiting on Antecedent. Not in the office, but in a bar around the spaceport. He had a few things to do. And part was figure out how to get his people unbountied. Getting space helped.

At least [member="Ayden Cater"] didn't push a bounty on the business and political folk of his nation. That was at least something. Sipping his whiskey, he had made sure that any and all assets were in line. All he kept on him were the alchemized pistol and orange lightsaber. As well as any AEI gear he may have won in auction. Those that belonged to him due to Abrion would go back into the government. Those that belonged to him due to Tion would go there.

Time to see how he could fix this, or if the leadership positions in this sector of space really were jinxed.

Obviously, everyone in the Galaxy, who had the modern day technology in their systems, had heard of the war between the Omega Protectorate and the Abrion Systems Authority. And both states would hire professional mercenaries to aid them in their call of battle, and they would post bounties on the Holonet for Bounty Hunters to hunt down and capture the designated target. This conflict is something that both Mercenaries and Bounty Hunters enjoyed and did just for the credits.

But, Rally Master Vilaz Munin didn't just do these types of jobs for the credits. No, he did this for competition something that he and his fellow Hunters did amongst each other. There were ladder rankings within the Guild and the Mandalorian was determined to be ranked as number one out of all the other Hunters. And if continued to keep up such streak he would, no doubt, be a respect and feared figure throughout the Galaxy because of such reputation, if he was able to reach that.

Now, Marek Starchaser was probably not involved in the military the whole time, but he was on Correlia with a few associates that killed some Protectorate citizens, and that, for some people, was a crime if you were with a murderer and failed to report the crime to the local authorities. Something that was disclosed to Vilaz and other Bounty Hunters that wished to do. Now, for a while the Warrior did stalk on Marek Starchaser, and was easy if you were on the board of the Techno Union, and most business people always had business cards to hand out to customers. Talk about keeping a low profile.

He did his best to track Marek and waited for the appropriate time to attack. The Bounty Hunter did his best to place several homing beacons, on Marek's personal vehicles, to make it easy for him to track down Starchaser, and one of those beacons was a successful one as it showed Vilaz where Marek would go anywhere, anytime.

As time passed by he waited to see where in the Galaxy Starchaser had arrived to. And finally the beacon showed him where Starchaser had arrived to as his ship exited out hyperspace. Apparently, it was outside of Authority territory making it much more easy for Vilaz to capture his target. Pushing in the coordinates on his Tegaanalir class patrol ship of exactly where Marek was he would then go through the process of hyperspace and would wait until he had arrived towards his destination.

Until then he would decide which weapons he would use for this mission.

The war was tearing the South Systems apart, but in that same regard, business was good. The other business, the casino, was doing excellent. It was just what he thought, people needed a release. The Abrion Systems did have the funds, they could hire mercenaries. And he was going to let the powers that be in his nation do what they would. He was going to see how he could affect the war from his own end. That was going to be the real trick, he figured.

And part of Starchaser wanted to see just who was going after his people. And that meant putting himself out there. Sure, he wasn’t a military man, but he was a public face for his faction. Not the public face, thankfully. His own slicers and SpyNet had done a solid work on tearing through his records.

Sure, they weren’t able to erase everything. Like the time his Master took his to Corellia and hence killed some folk on that world. But that was Ket, safe in the Fringe. Marek was… still focusing the Force, and expanding his powers with it. Looking over the information in front of him, he shrugged.

How was he going to fix this? Surely there had to be a business angle.

After some time passed by his ship had finally exited out of hyperspace and was now facing towards the planet that had led him to Marek. During the trip through hyperspace Vilaz was selecting what he should bring from his armory. Obviously, he was going to take his personal beskar'gam, that has a flamethrower and a mini concussion missile and crushgaunts. But, he was deciding what weapons he should bring. After some time of thinking to himself he finally decided what he should bring: his dual WESTAR 34 pistols that were in a holster, a knife, a MT-1 repulsor pack, and a Vornskr Scattergun. On his utility belt he put ammunition for both his pistols and his scattergun in case it would run out of ammunition.

"Dalso," he called out and whistled for his pet Vornskr to come to him. Following the command of his master the Force Sensitive canine came to him and sat down in front of the Warrior. Giving him a treat to the animal followed by petting him Vilaz would always bring Dalso to all his Bounty Hunting missions and whenever he went out hunting with his brother because of one thing: the Force. Dalso and the rest of his breed could easily track down prey, especially Force Users, with the Force which would save some time for Vilaz whenever he went hunting.

The two figures then arrived towards the cockpit of the ship where the Bounty Hunter would take control of the vessel and direct it towards the planet and where Starchaser had stationed his vehicle of transportation.

Put out bounties, put out protection calls. Really, this could be a way for the ACA to weed out the weak. Was that terrible of him to think about? Marek was a part of a technocratic government. Worrying about the self was right out, and worrying about the many? That was what was needed. If they would leave the military alone that was working as defense, that was fine. The people could live beyond the droid walls and ranks. That would keep them safe.

As for him? He could call in his favors. And he knew that [member="Ket Van-Derveld"] or [member="Jared Ovmar"] would come running to get him out of any hot zone. That was, if Marek couldn’t buy, borrow or steal his way out of something. He had ships galore, and probably should wipe out the ones he had now for new ones to keep him fine in the future.

Whatever came at him here, he could discuss with them, it was a public venue, after all. He could talk, or go, but even with his weapons, he wasn’t much of a fighter. He was just debating putting out protection bounties for him, or having hunters hunting hunters. That would put the galaxy on a spin. Sipping his whiskey, he watched the crowd.

Breaking through the atmosphere of the planet the Tegaanalir began descending with both gravity pushing it and its velocity. Of course, it began decelerating to evade a crash land and not kill Vilaz and others that would be involved in the radius if the ship crash landed. Still following the homing beacon that was on Starchaser's transportation the Bounty Hunter began closing in the distance between him and the Bounty's vehicle.

Finally, after some time in the air the Mandalorian the beacon had led him to a spaceport that contained several freighters and other vessels similar to Vilaz's, including Marek's personal ship. The Warrior then maneuvered the Tegaanalir vessel to station in an unoccupied spot so he could truly begin his hunt. After stationing his ship inside the spaceport the Mandalorian, with his pet Vornskr, began exiting the cockpit of the Tegaanalir and began heading towards the exit of the ship.

A hiss erupted from the entrance of the vessel which meant that the entrance was now opening. From the entrance two figures began to come out of the ship, and once they had exited out of the ship and their feet was touching the ground of the spaceport the entrance of the ship began to close and was sealed so no one, except the owner, could steal it and go off into the Galaxy.

He slowly walked, with Dalso, away to try to complete this job.
