Tiger Twi'lek Burning Bright

Armand Temi sat in his office in the makeshift medical center on Ryloth and checked his chrono. Seven days had passed since he and the Rebel Alliance had negotiated a cease-fire with the Red Ravens in the criminal hallows of the Dragon Palace Casino. Trouble was, he wasn't sure how ravenous their appetite was for more peace between the two organizations. And if not peace, the Hapan Ambassador would settle for non-violent relations, however chilly they were.

He activated a holopad and dialed the office of [member="Chiasa Kritivaas"], hoping to catch her at an opportune moment. While he waited for her to answer, he considered how long to propose extending the truce.

The Twi'lek in question had been forced to stay close to home with recent events. There was currently no such thing as an opportune moment, but at least she was always near the holo terminal and comm unit. Every time she had things almost sorted, almost settled, someone came along and kicked over her sandcastle, but to hell with them. She was going to build out of duracrete and the next person to kick it would get a broken foot.

She wasn't even particularly aware that the seven day trial period with the Rebel Alliance was up. While they had a major part to play in her scheming and machinations, the whole truce had seemed so paltry and unnecessary that she'd very nearly put it our of her mind even before all the Sith and internal issues arose.

Her brows rose slightly when she answered the call and [member="Armand Temi"]s holo sprang to life. She'd rather been expecting one of the lawyers offices, or the myriad of technicians.

"Mr Temi. What can I do for you?"

Harried or not, her voice was composed, her features pleasantly neutral.

Armand nodded at the orange skinned Twi'lek's graceful form on the holo. Even through the blue sheen of the transmission, her stripes were an exotic sight. He assessed her digital replica and arching an eyebrow he answered her question:

"It's been seven days and I've heard no reports of hostile activity towards the Rebel Alliance by the Red Ravens. Color me impressed. I'm pleased with the results of our temporary cease-fire, Ms. Kritivaas. Aren't you?"

[member="Chiasa Kritivaas"]

"I am not displeased."

Came the careful reply.

"Though I wouldn't say I am overly impressed. We agreed to a cease-fire, a cease-fire happened. I will be pleased when we start accomplishing things together Mr Temi."

This was perhaps slightly blunter than usual, but such were the times. Cryax gone, Lysle causing trouble, treaty with the Sith gone. She was now not only President of the Red Ravens, but also trying to see to her own training and preparations. Someone had to look after and defend the Unkindness. There were not enough hours in a day.

She needed [member="Armand Temi"] and the rest of the Rebel Alliance for now, and was making a conscious effort not to dictate terms or actions to them. It came to be second nature after a while, but wasn't that part of the reason the Ravens had split from the Sith? The need to be autonomous? She would not push the Rebels away with the same short-sighted actions and attitudes.

"I assume you've heard about the fall-out from our little meeting?"
