STANDARD FEATURES

- All Standard Features

ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Strengths:

  • Modular Pod: The secondary pod is able to be unlocked and replaced with a different type of pod. Configuration A is standard bombing gear, and puts more emphasis on attack by adding a second torpedo launcher, and two bomb launchers. However configuration B is able to carry up to four passengers in the pod, as well as a pilot and has a secondary shield generator, giving it much more power in its shields.

  • Heavily Armored: The bomber has reinforced hull, armor, and shields. Add onto it ECM jammers, chafe, flares, and a small turret on the back, that functions as an anti-missile system, and to help deter fighters from riding it's rear.
Weaknesses:

  • The Couplings: Once the shields are down, or if fire can go through the shields, the couplings that connect the two pods can be targeted and damaged, causing them to split apart. This would result in catastrophic failure of the fighter craft.

  • Small Numbers: These ships are expensive to make, due to their modular nature. As such, only a small number are available.
Description:

These ships were designed with a modular design in mind. Taking the old tie bomber design, it was updated and modified with the newest technology. A hyper-drive, advanced shields, and advanced targeting computers were added in, to make the ship far more versatile, and far more armored.

The main feature of the ship, is its ability to switch out the secondary pod with a different one. One pod puts it into bomber mode, the second allows it to carry a small number of people be it to land in enemy hangers, or take them to ground, or various other tasks. While not the most powerful fighter, the ship does it jobs well, and is a heavy tank of a ship.
