Maneuvering Jets: While pitted all across the TIE/PI, it allows it to make complex turns while keeping the extreme amount of speed possible to do all of this. (x)
Scramjet Booster: How it is able to get to such extreme speeds in a hurry. Activating it will give the speed it requires possible for a short period of time before needing a recharge. In space however, that recharge is very short while in atmospheric, it can take a while.
ST2X Targeting Computer: While slightly aged in todays standards, it is still a prime example of targeting computer technology, allowing the user to keep target locked on and perform complex maneuvers while giving ridicules on where to fire. (x)


STRENGTHS
  • They Move So Fast!: These were Interceptors to end all other Interceptors. Their goal is nothing more than the complete annihilation of starfighters in the area.
WEAKNESSES
  • No Hyperdrive: It must rely on carrier ships to move it around. If the carrier ship is destroyed or has retreated, the pilot is forced to fight to the end or surrender.
  • No Ejection System: It must either survive a crash landing or hope it can stop the starfighter to get out of it manually when damaged. There is no pull out switch.
  • Very Little Armament: It has to rely on others to take down much larger targets as it was only designed to fight against other starfighters.
  • Scramjet Overheat: While it is rare to overheat in combat in space, in atmospheric it is quite common. When in atmospheric, the speed rating changes to Very High to avoid destroying the TIE/PI on accident due to stressing the engines.
DESCRIPTION
The need for speed was still there in Haon Hafeys mind. After the design of the Vassal, it was imperative to make one that was designed to fight nothing but starfighters. The answer came to him in the form of a new TIE design. Working on the project, he added more of his favor kinds of Maneuvering Jets while also adding inside the cockpit the ST2X Targeting Computer. However like before, the ejection system was ripped out. With all the manuvering jets being added in, the missile system was completely thrown out, almost making it completely worthless in a fight if it was not for the speed factor.

Nearly all the room on the fins and behind the TIE/PI was made room for the Scramjet Boosters, an ancient design that had been used very few times before in his projects but saw a use here. With it given its own dedicated system and its primary use in space, it would allow the Scramjet to cool down rather quickly before using it again and again which, with all the framework reworked to accomidate such extreme tension force, it would be the perfect way to surprise their foes.

Unfortunately, it could not be stacked as much as previous designs, though it came with its perks. In just a test flight against old style starfighters, it ran circles around them and pinged them with their laser cannons till they were either disabled or destroyed. In addition, each time they were in trouble, they simply boosted out of starfighter range and flew back around for another couple of pot shots. All in all, this was a deadly starfighter and hopefully will soon be added to the Zweihander Unions lineup. The TIE/PI designation meant Pillager which was exactly what it was to do against their foes, pillage their chances.
