Description: The T.I.E. Maverick is the new standard of attack craft design for the Galactic Empire. Based on the centuries old TIE Avenger it presents a solid platform for attack craft to be designed upon for the future.
The Maverick though not as fast and nimble as an interceptor, is a nimble ship capable of presenting a heavy payload of warheads in a single shot. The War head launchers are designed to fire all of its pay load in one volley if desired. In addition to the mass fire capabilities the T.I.E. Maverick can carry a variable payload of warhead types. Each launcher can be loaded with any combination of four missiles or torpedoes. These include Concussion Missiles, Proton Torpedoes, Ion Torpedoes, and Plasma Torpedoes
The Maverick's cock pit is flanked by two laser cannons on each side. These are fire linked and can fire in the standard two cannons at once, all four cannons at once or a stutter fire setting which will cycle the cannons for a continuous stream of fire.
The Maverick is powered by a micro Ion Reactor and propelled by Twin Ionic fusal drives. The power from the core is channeled through the drives them looped back into a capacitance system so not to lose power in the post fusal ignition. Unlike most TIE series fighters the Maverick is equipped with internal atmosphere. Pilots can operate the craft without the encumbrance of the breathing gear of past TIE models.
