STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Brute force: The TIE/CL has been specifically designed to lift, carry and handle large amounts of cargo, thanks the the addition of two Grip Manipulator Arms on either side of the vehicle's cockpit.
  • Versatile: The TIE/CL can also perform repair, salvage, and search and rescue duties, making it a versatile piece of equipment for any armed force to possess.
  • Tight maneuvering: Being essentially a spacecraft, the TIE/CL can get into awkward or hard to reach places that traditional cargo moving and lifting vehicles would not be able to access.
  • Cheap: Modifying traditional TIE frames into TIE/CL's is a relatively straightforward and inexpensive process.
  • RIP AND TEAR: The TIE/CL's Grip Manipulator Arms can double as impromptu weapons if needed.
WEAKNESSES
  • Lover, not a fighter: The TIE/CL is a poor combatant, as it only possesses a pair of laser cannons in addition to its Grip Manipulator Arms.
  • Sluggish: The modifications done to the TIE frame have turned the TIE/CL into a slow and unwieldy vehicle.
  • Difficult: Because the TIE/CL doesn't have traditional spacecraft "wings", it can be difficult to fly for the average pilot until they get used to the vehicle's odd handling characteristics.
  • Uncomfortable: Like many TIE variants, the TIE/CL can be uncomfortable to operate for lengthy periods of time.
  • No hyperdrive: The TIE/CL lacks any sort of hyperdrive, forcing it to rely on dedicated carriers for long distance travel.
DESCRIPTION

As the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant continues to close business deals with the Mandalorian Empire, the Diarchy and even the Black Sun Syndicate, more and more scrap and salvage finds its way into Mahporeem proper, necessitating the creation of dedicated cargo lifting vehicles to help process everything. One such vehicle is known as the TIE/CL, or the TIE Cargo Loader.

A relatively simple and inexpensive modification to the venerable TIE series, the TIE/CL is most notable for the addition of two large Grip Manipulator Arms installed on either side of the vehicle's cockpit. These arms are capable of lifting, carrying and handling large amounts of cargo while also allowing their pilot to engage in repair, salvage and search and rescue duties.

Of course, the drastic modifications to the TIE/CL have drastically impacted the ship's performance, turning it into a strictly dedicated support vehicle. If forced to fight, the TIE/CL can use its L-s1 laser cannons and Grip Manipulator Arms to defend itself, but should actively avoid any sort of combat at all costs, due to its light armor, low speed and poor overall maneuverability.
