IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION
CHOLGANNA,
OUTER RIM TERRITORIES
TimHzFP.png
In the past few weeks, Supreme Commander Sularen had been working tirelessly to build a network of subordinates, associates and operatives across the Imperial Confederation and beyond in order to achieve his grand plan of cultivating a strong and robust Military-Industrial Complex that would support the Imperial Conefederation's agenda. It was a monumental and extensive task, and yet the Supreme Commander was willing to endure the burdens of such a task knowing that the fruits of his labors would see the Imperial Confederation last far longer then it's predecessors of the Dark Empire and the Empire of the Lost and potentially surpass the New Imperial Order in terms of influence and effect on galactic affairs.

Today, Sularen was scheduled to meet with another subordinate of his within the Imperial Navy, a Quarren Admiral by the name of Squesha. Just like his privious meeting with Admiral Rakel, Captain Zythor and Captain von Strauss, Sularen sought to utilize this meeting to build a proper understanding between himself and his subordinate and establish a proper working relationship through Squesha's impending reassignment to the soon-to-be established 7th Sector Fleet known as the Cerulean Spear Command. With such talented officers at his disposal, Sularen was poised to transform the Imperial Navy into a force to be reckoned with that would lead the charge against all who would seek to undermine the Imperial Confederation.

Thus within his office in the Imperial Center for Military Operations on Cholganna, the Supreme Commander patiently awaited the arrival of the Quarren Admiral eager to continue the process of building up the potential of the Imperial Navy and sharpening it into the ultimate tool of power projection for the Confederation.

Admiral Squesha stood outside the office, making sure her appearence was immaculate. To be summoned by the Supreme Commander himself was a great honour, and a great opportunity. With a bit of luck perhaps she could gain a new command ship. She breathed in and stepped inside.

As she walked in she saluted.

"It is an honor to meet you in person, Commander. And good timing. I have just dealt with some pirates in orbit."

She looked around.

"Most impressive how fast you have constructed this command center. I would not have expected something like this for a few weeks."

She cleared her throat.

"Apologies commander I got off topic. To what do I owe the pleasure of this meeting?"

Sulaen offered a soft smile as Admiral Squesha entered his office and offered her greetings before further complementing the military complex and inquiring on the reason for her summoning. She appeared to be a bit enthusiastic and was trying to cover it with a sense of professionalism. Of-course this was to be expected as the Quarren Admiral was meeting with the Supreme Commander of Confederation's Imperial Armed Forces. Nevertheless from what Sularen could gather from the ISS files on her, she could prove to be a valuable asset for the Imperial Navy.

"This facility has been in the works long before the Confederation set it's sights on this world" Sularen said in response to Squesha's remark "I choose this world because of it's harsh environment and lack of a native population, not to mention it's proximity to the capital of New Alderaan and the strategically important Auril Sector and Tion Cluster." he added. "Once completed it shall become the nucleus of the Imperial Armed Forces moving forward." he finished.

"But enough about this facility. Please take your seat Admiral we have much to discuss." the Supreme Commander said, gesturing to the chair directly across his desk. Once the Admiral was seated the Supreme Commander offered his explanation for why he had summoned Squesha. "To put it plainly, i am assembling a new Sector Fleet for the Imperial Navy. A flagship fleet that would serve as the spearhead for all military operations, representing the most powerful element of our Armed Forces." Sularen explained.

"Given your particulate skillset and talents, i intend on reassigning you to the command staff of this new Sector Fleet. However first i want to establish a sort of understanding between us." the Supreme Commander added. "I want to know why you serve the Empire and your views on what you think is the greatest threat to the Empire. If this new Sector Fleet is to work as by design, i need both capable and reliable commanders and while your service record already indicates that you are a capable military commander, your reliability as one has yet to be proven."

Admiral Squesha sat down immediately. She nodded as the Commander explained why the facilities location was chosen. Her eyes lit up when he mentioned the new fleet. To be given command of the flgship fleet would be a great honor, and one she was desperate to prove she was worthy of. She straitened her robes.

Given your particulate skillset and talents, i intend on reassigning you to the command staff of this new Sector Fleet.

"Thank you for considering me for command, Grand Admiral. I can assure you that I would not let you or The Empire down."

However first i want to establish a sort of understanding between us." the Supreme Commander added. "I want to know why you serve the Empire and your views on what you think is the greatest threat to the Empire.
Squesha nodded.

"Of course sir. I agree, and from my side understanding you will allow me to more effectively follow your direction. As for why I serve the Empire..."

She paused for a moment.

"When I was growing up my home world, Mon Cala, was going through a period of strife. There was only chaos, and it was dangerous to leave your home for fear of gang members attacking you. But when I was there to witness The Empire take control of Mon Cala. I watched as imperial forces cracked down on criminals, and restored order and peace to my planet. We no longer lived in fear of the chaos, but rather embraced by the new security. It was this new security that allowed me to study tactics and other military tenets, before joining the Imperial Navy. I have seen the difference the Empire makes, commander, and the galaxy needs it whether they know it or not. So many planets are still suffering the lawlessness their weak governments allow, and it is up to us to bring peace to them.

From somewhere within her robes she produced a miniature holo-projector. With a tap she activated it, and it displayed a map of the galaxy, with areas belonging to major factions filled in.

"The Empire has expanded quickly, our momentum unstoppable. However this rapid expansion could potentially leave us spread thin, unable to build up our forces in time to accommodate our growth. I believe we are dangerously overstretched here, by the Parlemian trade route. It is far from the capital and the planetary systems here are spread out and don't support each other well. It is like a row of planets, and I fear unless we reinforce it our systems here could be vulnerable.

The biggest threat to us here is the Black Sun. They have also been expanding rapidly, and their outpost in Lexrul is dangerously close to us. If they were to attack we would have little time to react, and by the time our main fleets arrive several systems could be taken by a major offensive.

It is my recommendation that we take Kashyyyk as soon as possible and fortify it significantly. Control of the hyperlanes it guards would give us great strategic advantage, and a base there would be a significant deterrent to the Black Sun and give us great first strike potential. It would also give us a launching point to retaliate against the Galactic Alliance in case they decide to go after us."

She left the holoprojector on, zoomed into Kashyyyk's sector.
your reliability as one has yet to be proven
"As for my reliability, sir, you can count on me for any mission. I would happily prove my reliability to you sir, just give me a task."

Sularen listened with interest as Admiral Squesha explained her motivations for serving the Empire, and then offered some suggestions concerning the future expansion of the Confederation, highlighting how she believed the Black Sun posed a threat to the Confederation and how the Confederation should strike first against them. If there was one word to describe Squesha, then that word would be enthusiastic. It was clear that she sought to contribute as much as she could to the Imperial cause, although she had much to learn and Sularen was more then willing to serve as the teacher.

"We have no plans to act against the Black Sun as of now." Sularen responded, politely shooting down the Admiral's suggestions about attacking the Black Sun. "The Criminal Underworld despite being the very antithesis to the Imperial Order, has it's benefits and is something that we cannot control no matter how much we squeeze our fists." the Supreme Commander explained. "Working with the Black Sun with a preference for mutual satisfaction would be more beneficial and help us achieve our goals more efficiently as opposed to simply waging a pointless war to exterminate them." he explained.

"Our expansion must be precise and well-calculated for even the smallest error can be exploited by our enemies to undermine us and put an end to months of progress in this area of space." the Supreme Commander added. "As for an assignment, you will be given one in due time. For the time being, my priority is to properly organize the Imperial Navy so that it can be ready to properly act as the shield of the Confederation." he added.

Admiral Squesha sighed. The Commander was right of course. They would have to bide their time for now.

"Of course sir. No navy could eliminate such a deeply rooted criminal underworld. They would indeed be a powerful ally. We must just be cautious that they do not turn on us if they are offered a better deal."

Admiral Squesha nodded.

"Agreed. At the moment the navy is too spread out to be an effective shield, but with proper organization and orders it could be a far more unified force. But that should not be too difficult to accomplish.
