SOMEWHERE UNDERGROUND

The masked woman grew tired of waiting for this guest to arrive. Another figure of at least relative importance if she was to take this person into the heart of the mountain just beyond the capital. No one entered that place except the Seer. It was a private space, sacred in its own right simply for its purpose.

There was a roar of a ship approaching, the faint click of shoes on the metal below. A small shift nearby and in response, she turned to face the figure that approached. A woman. “Darth Megarea?” She awaited a reply before turning to head into the depths of the earth that surrounded the landing pad with a lantern in hand to light the way, if only for the visitor’s benefit. “This way.

Even without the Force to aid her, she knew these tunnels like the back of her own hand. They all did. The annoying prickling sensation in her back reassured her that the visitor kept pace behind her through all of the various twist, turns, and long corridors.

Keep to the left side. A step too far to the right will trigger a number of traps. I would rather you arrive unharmed. Follow the Path.” She continued on her way, steps light and carefree on the jagged and slippery stone underfoot. The pair walked for a while until they reached a large door with candles adorning the sides. On the lowest step, the woman leading Megarea stopped and turned around with a metal hand outstretched. “Please surrender your weapons. They are not permitted beyond this door.”Once the weapons (if any) were given up, her free hand motioned towards the door.

Enter. The Seer is waiting inside. May His Eye Never Waver.

With those parting words, the masked woman vanished into thin air. Once the Sith entered the hall and the door closed behind her, a simple question was posed. Only one question that rang and echoed through the vast, candlelit hall. It seemed to emanate from the man levitating at the opposite end of the chamber with his back turned away from the door.

Are you worthy, Megarea?

The message had taken her by surprise. She had been on Malagarr, overseeing the construction of the future capital city of the High Sith when a masked figure entered her presence. She had not sensed their approach, and several nearby High Sith had drawn their weapons at the intruders sudden, unannounced appearance. Megarea had held them back, taking the small note that was handed to her. By the time she finished reading, the masking individual was gone, just as mysteriously as they had arrived. Intrigued, Megarea had ordered a shuttle to be prepared that hour.

The world she travelled to did not exist on any modern star charts, though that in of itself was not too strange. New worlds were being discovered with each passing month it seemed, but this world in particular felt...odd. It held a strong pull of the Dark Side that she could feel even from orbit. Such a presence had only ever been felt by her on Sith worlds; Korriban, Dromound Kaas, and Ziost. The mystery deepening, she piloted the shuttle herself down to the designated landing site.

Walking towards the meeting place, Megarea spotted another cloaked and masked individual. From a distance, Megarea thought nothing amiss about her, but as she drew closer her eyes narrowed. She could sense a...darkness around the individuals eyes, something she had come to link to a person being blind. Confused, she extended her senses to see if the mask she wore had some kind of sensor or detection equipment, and was left puzzled at the lack of anything she sought. She did not speak when addressed, and simply followed the blind, masked woman through this complex. She was amazed at her seeming memorization of such a vast location, and she made a mental note to look into possible training methods for the High Sith's own servants.

When prompted, she removed the saberstaff at her side, placing the weapon in the woman's outstretched hand. She did not speak as the masked woman suddenly vanished, though she did try to track her presence through the Force for a few moments before ending the task. Resigned to annoyance, she walked towards the door as it opened, the metal in her boots echoing with each step as she entered the presence of the one that had summoned her to this place.

The man she faced was certainly interesting, she had seen only a few people actively float as a matter of course. She halted her progress several meters away from his form, her eyes glancing around the candlelit chamber, before settling on him once more. "Your question requires parameters and specifications. You ask am I worthy, and I question what you ask I am worthy of."
