Thug Hunting (Elvira)

Rex Maxus

Rex walked into the cantina, looking around. He was supposed to meet someone that he would be working with on a job, but he had no clue who it was. He sat at a booth, ordering a corellian whiskey and observing the crowd. Perhaps his partner would know who he was, he thought as he took a drink of the ale.

Elvira rarely took bounty hunting jobs - but this was one of those times. Elvira entered the cantina where she would meet her partner. Their mission was to take out a group of smugglers who were exporting illegal weapons through the black market. Elvira looked for the man who would join her. She smiled when she noted somebody sitting by the counter who matched the person she had studied in the holograms. Elvira situated her belt, which had weapons galore on it, and walked over to him.

"[member="Rex Maxus"] I take it?" She inquired in a a kind, slightly cheery tone.

Rex smiled when he saw a woman approach him. Granted, he hadn't expected a woman, but she must be capable if she was hired for a mission. Standing up, he held his hand out for her to shake. "Yes, I'm Rex. And you must be my partner. Your name is?" Rex was a bit embarrassed to not even know who he'd be working with, but he just kept smiling. "Please, take a seat." He gestured to the seat across from him and waited for her to sit before he did the same.

"Yes I do, we will be taking out some smugglers who have been dealing in illegal weapons. A pretty easy job if you ask me." He leaned back, taking a small sip of his drink and cracked his knuckles, anxious to get started.

Elvira scoffed. SHe only had been a bounty hunter off and on, but she understood from years surviving in the Courosant Underworld that nothing was easy...

"Well, we don't even know their numbers yet!" Elvira chuckled, "And what weapons are they smuggling anyhow? How dangerous are they? Are the pirates willing to use them?" Elvira laid back in her seat, "Never judge a situation until you're actually in it."

She smiled after her little lecture though, "But it's good to know you're all caught up. So, when do we start?"

Rex laughed as the woman went off. "Did I say easy? I meant simple." He laughed, entertained by how feisty Elvira was. "Anyways, most things seem easy after spending your whole life fighting for the entertainment of the rich." He gave a smirk and stood up. "We start now" he said as he began to walk to the door

Elvira smirked, this was her kind of partner. Cocky and quick to the point; and a survivor - like her. She got up and walked up to the doorway with him. She placed her hand on the sniper rifle hanging in her back, she was very well prepared for this. She had her katanas, vibroknives, and various blasters at hand. She would be cautious, but she was also energetic with the excitement to get started!

She looked to her business partner, "I believe they are smuggling some goods several blocks down from here. Shall we investigate?"

"We shall. Use that snazzy sniper of yours and get a good view of them. I will stick to the shadows, and when the deal goes down we will strike."

Rex kept walking, hand on his vibrosword. He started walking in the direction that Elvira said the smugglers were, sticking to the shadows.

Elvira followed [member="Rex Maxus"] in his steads. Her steps were light, her movements were quick. They hid in the shadows up until they reached their destination. Elvira then revealed her Force sensitivity by Force jumping up onto a large platform at the edge of a shabby, small landing bay. One that seemed as it it would have been abandoned long ago... yet it was bustling with the thugs they were looking for.

Elvira drew out her sniper rifle and looked through the lenses, this sniper rifle was standard - but better than nothing. She was able to clearly see that many Republic military only weapons were being loaded onto a ship to be exported. Elvira growled, she had once owned a pair of DC-17 blasters, but she eventually tossed them out due to lack of energy to get into trouble. The rogue silently observed their every movements, but she could not hear them. She briefly looked up to see if her companion had joined her, then looked back down to her rifle lenses.

Rex spoke in hushed tones. "I'm going to go in closer. I will send you an audio feed through my comm." With that, he made his way towards the landing bay, staying to the shadows as planned. He got close enough to make out some of what they were saying. Turning his comm on, he gripped his sword tightly. Once she fired a shot, all hell would break loose. Rex gave Elvira a nod as he prepared to take out some thugs

Elvira noted the nod immediately. She instantly began to snipe them - not in vital spots though! She just made sure they were in enough pain to stay down. The sniper rifle she was using was standard, but it was still god enough. She was able to shoot in places like the knees with ease. Meanwhile, Elvira kept watch over her companion, [member="Rex Maxus"], if he needed help she would immediately shoot his attacker down - not in a vital spot though. Elvira still carried some of the views of the Jedi Order which she had abandoned long ago: she would not kill unless she had to. Though of course, she still viewed that many of their beliefs were too pasifist and that was one of the things that drove her the leave the order. The teenager though, as of now, was simply focusing on shooting as many down as possible without actually killing them. Their job was the shut the operation down, not to crate a blood bath.

Rex heard the shooting and immediately joined in. He didn't have any problem with killing, it was something he did daily. Walking into the area, he noticed men dropping left and right. One that was still standing aimed a rifle at Rex. Rex immediately ducked to avoid a shot and then tackled the man, driving his sword into the thug's gut. He stood, then slashing about at the remaining thugs, killing 3, 4, 5, he didn't keep count. When the sounds of shooting died down, he looked around at the dead bodies and men screaming while holding their knees. Rex ran his sword through one. It was more humane to kill them in his mind.
