NAME: Thryykarr
FACTION: Mandalorian
RANK: none
SPECIES: Wookiee
AGE: 20
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 6'11''
WEIGHT: 2225 lbs
EYES: Gold
HAIR/Fur: Dark gold

FORCE SENSITIVE: No
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
(+) Wookiee strength - Wookiees are furballs of mass destruction...
(+) Skilled Amateur Armorer - managed to forge himself a suit of combat armor simply from scraps of old Mandalorian Bes'kar
(+) Knows his vehicles - He was valued among his comrades for his ability to strip down old ships and speeders and create something completely new and functional.
(+) Great shot - good with anything that shoots
(-) Inexperienced - Doesn't know much about the galaxy except for the Mandalorians.
(-) Not good with computers - He could build himself a ship if he really wanted to, but he could never program it.
(-) Exiled - His family had been long exiled from Kashyyyk for murder, attempted assassination, and attempting to overthrow the government
(+) Efficient mind - He can often figure out a course of action at a quick glance around the room, and he often manages to get through combat situations simply on brains and instinct alone (Think Downey Jr.- as Sherlock)
(+) Multilingual - Because he has grown up around species other than Wookiees almost since birth, he has a firm grasp of Basic and Huttese, and even a vague grasp of Mando'a, but he has a disappointingly limited vocabulary in his native language.
(+) Social Butterfly - There's just something about him that makes everybody he meets like, or at least respect him. He's just that kind of guy.

APPEARANCE:
For a Wookiee, he is considered very handsome to other races. He exudes a constant air of confidence and intelligence, but always seems to be looking into you. He is often asked what the hell he's gaping at.

BIOGRAPHY:
Thryykar (aka Thryk, Tyk, or Thar,) was born on a ship. Nobody knows where exactly the ship was going, but they all agree that it was a ship to be looked at with contempt. The ship was mostly crewed by the Mandalorians who had been hired to remove Thryykarr's clan from Kashyyyk.
Shortly after the ship dropped from hyperspace, it hit a very large meteor and crashed into Mandalore. Most of the crew died of the crash, with the exceptions of Thryk and his future mentor, Bekker. Bekker, now only fifteen took the golden baby Wookiee about ten kilometers away before stopping and setting camp.
A few months later, Bekkar went back to the crash site so he could scavenge for any valuables. He stripped enough of the hull to make a small hut for the baby and himself to live in. He also found some still-intact weapons and lots of bas'kar armor he could strip for parts. He set about constructing a home. He also began to hunt for larger game, now that he had the means to do it. The baby was healthy, and the boy was healthy, and they were both happy.
But then, six years later, another crash took place, close to the one that had stranded Thryk and Bekkar there. The survivors of this crash soon discovered the happy little duo in their happy little durasteel hut. Young Thryk, now almost seven years old, wondered at the Mandalorian armor, and was awed by the honor and respect of the men and women who wore the armor. He dreamed of making his own, and acting in such a generous and chivalrous way. Meanwhile, the little hut became part of a small village of stranded Mandalorians and prisoners making the best of their survival.
When Thryk was fourteen, Bekkar decided to help him build a suit of armor. So, they did. Using the remains of the scrapped armor from their ill-fated crew, Thryk and Bekkar built a functional, if not self-contained, suit. The other Mandalorians in the village congratulated Thryk on his solid design, and Bekkar on his good guidance in the matter. Thryk then began his weapons training. He learned how to fire a vast range of rifles and pistols, as well as how to use an equally vast range of melee weapons. That was when he first came in contact with his heritage. The captain of the MAndalorians in the village with him and BEkkar had a pair or Wookiee Ryyk blades. He learned that the captain had once been a great hero among the people of a small village on Kahyyyk, and that they had gifted him with the blades to show his prowess and status among the Wookiees.
Finally, when Thryk was nineteen, the Mandalorians helped him construct a real suit of armor, which the dubbed the Juggernaut. They also helped him build a ship, but they lacked the computer skill to actually get the thing running. However, they did manage to rebuild a small number of functional swoops, which allowed them to move the whole village in search of a nearby city of any kind. So, they left their little settlement behind and began their search.

[member="Xakthul"] One of the things you'll want to do before you get too into character creation, is to make sub accounts. To do this, go into the profile page of your writer, and click on characters. There you can add an alt for each of your characters, and have the name be the same when you post. It helps cut down on confusion.
Saw you already did this.

Now, I don't personally like the walking carpets of Star wars, but I like the bio. Don't know if you want him to be 20, considering the average lifespan is 400 for wookies. Just a thought.

Also, for Rank in the Mandos, you'll start like everyone else as an Initiate.

One statement and one question:

Statement: I'll be posting his gear as soon as his Juggernaut suit gets approved.

Question: How do I do the 'mentions' without typng in [member=_____]?

To mention someone, look to the left and see their avatar, tags and underneath that there is a Mention link. Click it, and it will automatically publish the mention in the reply.

In order to submit armor or weapons for approval, you account much have 50 posts on the board :) Once you have those 50 posts, you can post them in the Factory. I would suggest working them up in the Mando pre-factory (Mandal Motors forum) and getting help from others ther to smooth out the data and such before submitting them :) I'm doing just that for the armor I'm building for this character.
Also, welcome!

Thanks, Anji, but the Ryyks are canon. The only thing currently in the factory is this guy's beskar'gam, the Juggernaut Mark One. Pretty simple thing, but no mods are checking it, atm.

[member="Anija Ordo"] That rule was just recently (yesterday) revoked, and now members may put in factory submission without a post requirement on any alt or writer account. He's fine.
