Private Throwback

These were one of the rarer days when Nouqai was at the temple. Most of her days were spent out about in the galaxy on her apprenticeship with her wookie master. To say she disliked the spiritual theory classes were an understatement. Now, she had became rather used to the practical outward nature of the apprenticeship. But she was a good student nevertheless. However, upon heading towards the class, she saw a man, his features familiar and looking rather lost. The 15 year old decided she should perhaps check if he needed some assistance. Besides, she was somewhat procrastinating on heading to class. "Sir, are you lost or just wandering?" She asked. "...Have I seen you before?" While his features were rather generic of a human male, hers was more unique and definitely distinct. Raphael Gallustrade Raphael Gallustrade

Raphael was happy. He'd found someone that he meshed with well enough that they she'd opted to take him on as her padawan. The Temple was... admittedly still a bit staggering and overwhelming. He...also hadn't fully learned the layout... Ever since his return to the light...well, he'd mostly spent time int he meditation rooms or infirmary. They'd still wanted to keep him under observation, in case the anima in his body caused him to try and break free and get back to her. It wasn't wrong to do so... he'd considered it, the first week or so, and then a few months later, when the withdrawals started to get bad...and painful...

But nowadays, well it was still painful, but at least he'd gotten a better hand on it.

Which... speaking...of... He looked around. Where was he? He'd...been trying to get to the philosophical theory class on the Force but... he'd...taken a left turn and then a right... How'd he wind up back at the dorms? It wasn't even his own!

While he was contemplating just what he was going to do next, he heard someone calling out to him. When he turned, he noticed the same one that he'd gone after on Myrkr! The one... who'd had...

"Nah, I'm a bit lost, I'm afraid... And yeah, we've met before... We were both on Myrkr. I was, uh, I was the pilot... I came back for you when... that thing carved that symbol into you..." He winced a bit, hoping that he hadn't touched a nerve.

Myrkr, that is where they had met, if only briefly. The memory of the time on the planet was now fuzzy, as if her mind wanted to shake of everything terrible that went on that day. It was for the best, but now he had brought it up, the recollection was inevitable. Nouqai fiddled with the sleeve that covered the wrist where said symbol was. Now healed into a scar, although not her fault, it still brought much shame to her.

"Oh. Yeah, that is a long time ago." There was the nervousness in her voice. A few months was not a long time at all. "Good thing about that was passing my trial of flesh. I have three more to go." She had passed the one of courage on Odacer-Faustin fighting the undead with her new master. She was only 14, although quite the ambitious learning, it was rather young to be granted the status of knight anytime soon.

"I am Nouqai Veil. " She introduced, extending her hand. "Thank you for coming back for me. I can't really remember much, honestly. I must have been way too exhausted. " Unbeknownst to her, her mind had been altered by a certain sith lord in the events prior to her encounter with the elf lady. The child had also been extremely traumatised.

"Anyway, where are you heading? I can show you the way. The shipyards are that way." He was a pilot wasn't he?

It seemed that she was still a bit bothered by what had happened on Myrkr, which he couldn't blame her for. That had been a horrible time. He could still remember, making himself as small in in the Force as possible, remembered the droids clanking past him... Even to him, it was almost all a blur.

He chuckled, knowing that it wasn't that long ago, but for trauma, a day could sometimes feel like a year. The nervousness, however, was understandable... It was something that effected her much more than he would've thought. Realistically, though, such a thing would've been killing him, right now, too. He gave a bit of a weak chuckle, at her comment; it was true, he guessed, though that wouldn't have been his focus, at the time...

"I'm Raphael Gallustrade, but you can call me Raph." He took her hand, shaking it. "And don't thank me. I didn't make it back. Between the droids and some other sith, I couldn't make it to you, unfortunately. By the time we extracted, however, you were pretty out of it."

He blinked. "Oh, uhm, no I'm actually a padawan myself. Recent, but... yeah." He turned a bit red, scratching the back of his head. "I kinda... got lost... But, man I wouldn't mind just to go flying, ya know? There's nothing like it." He smiled, much more warmly, as the bad thoughts of Myrkr melted into the clouds. "Are you into flying, yourself? I know some are, some aren't."
