STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
  • Bright Young Mind: From a very young age Thrask was taught the importance of knowledge, empiricism and intuition. His family were extremely encouraging, and insisted on sending him through the educational system as soon as he was of age where he took a keen liking toward History and Philosophy.
  • Silver Tongued: Thrask enjoys conversing with his peers. Once an avid member of Corellia University's Debate Team, before the planet's devastation, he quickly learned how to talk himself out of a corner and keep the audience engaged.
  • Epicanthix: Longevity and mental protection run rampant through his kind; Thrask is a full-blooded Epicanthix. While he has never seen the benefits or cons of his natural traits, there's no doubt that they could come in handy one day.
  • Orphaned: There has never been any miscommunication between Thrask and his parents over the fact that he was adopted; while they retained the name he was given to them with, surname included, Thrask was never treated any differently and was always pushed to fulfill his dreams. Still, there are certain people in the Galaxy who actively seek to squash the Legacy of his birth parents...
  • Basic Training: During his time as a student at Corellia University, Thrask was put through his paces with regards to attaining his starship and blaster licenses. He took to the former with much more success than the latter, though he was capable of hitting a target so long as it didn't move too much. Within the cockpit of a ship, however, Thrask felt at home.
  • Just A Student: Thrask is an expert of exactly zero subjects. He can explain the Great Hyperspace War in moderate detail, list his favourite Corellian line of starships, and waffle his way through an argument, but it doesn't really translate into the 'real world'. Since the devastation of Corellia, and in turn the loss of his school, Thrask has begun to realize how ill prepared he is to begin his life as an adult.
  • Bad Eyesight: Where his twin was born with bad hearing, Thrask was born with bad eyesight. Bad Epicanthix genes! His issue is more apparent where reading is concerned, as he is forced to wear glasses in order to do so.

PRE-ROLEPLAY HISTORY

Eli Lorr was a distinguished Knight in the Jedi Order, a fellow student who learned alongside Asha when they were both Padawans. Together, upon Knighthood, the pair formed an Academy on Talus to ensure the safety and future of the Order. Years passed while the pair continued their work, however with time they grew ever closer until they did what each had vowed to never do: they broke the Code of their Order through infatuation, and a sincere and deep love blossomed.

It was inartificial to a fault, and in truth their relationship was not even physical to begin with, merely an increased kinship. As things began to grow tough for the two Jedi, however, their passions ran deeper. They married in secrecy, and Asha became with-child. Before it was noticeable enough for Eli to realise, however, a drastic turn of events took place. Eli disappeared off the face of the Galaxy, having fallen to the lure of the Darkside found upon Korriban. He returned only once to see her, their love still ever-present.

Just before the birth of Thrask, Asha fell ill. It was a sickness of both mind and body, and in her confusion she fled from the Order, disappearing for several months. When she returned all memory of Eli and her child was gone, the product of a self-induced Flashburn. Asha had tipped over the edge, and in order to save herself from the darkness she had sacrificed all she had. From then on she continued her Jedi lifestyle, all the while Thrask remained without his parents.

While, unbeknownst to him, his twin sister Rhiari was sent to the safety of Serenno, Thrask - named after one of his Mother's oldest friends - was taken from his Mother upon his birth due to her irrational mind and placed into the Orphanage of Nashal, on the banks of the Mephyt River. It didn't take long for a local couple to hear the Mother's plight, and after a long discussion with the woman deemed unfit to raise him they promised to take Thrask and treat him as their own. Per the Mother's last request, his birth name was retained.

The couple kept their word.

Thrask was raised within a loving home, encouraged from the very start. He was quick to talk and walk, and when he became of age to read his adoptive parents noted how serene he became when occupied with a book. Determined to have him achieve his dreams, they opted into sending him to school when he turned six, and once he reached fourteen he was sent away to an Academy on Corellia to begin entry-level courses for Corellia University.

While he wasn't any smarter than his peers, Thrask expressed a passion for learning and a willingness to stretch his capabilities. He joined the University Debate Team within weeks of his first term, where he found he derived unparalleled pleasure from amusing his Team Mates, Judges and Audience. Over the next few years he would learn from a vast array of subjects: Mathematics, Galactic History, Basic Science... He was even taught a bit of Astrophysics, though it was much too advanced and he quickly had to drop the class at his tutor's request.

When he neared seventeen Thrask was put in for his pilot license. At first he was terrified, all but refusing to enter the cockpit and taking quite a while to adjust to the controls. But he wasn't one to willingly give up. His perseverance paid off, and when he finally passed his pilot tests his family rewarded him with his first ship. He affectionately called it Mephyt, after the rivers he used to swim in as a child, and though it needed a fair bit of work he loved it all the same.

This new found freedom enabled him to journey between Corellia and Talus much easier, and so it was that when the Galaxy inexplicably broke and people began to vanish Thrask was back home with his parents rather than at school. Due to the System-wide panic, especially once a dark world appeared alongside Corellia, Thrask was pulled from the University while he and his family joined the others who had remained in order to wait out the calamity.

When they finally emerged from their safe haven something about the sky seemed wrong; within no time at all people began to return without any explanation for what had happened, and pieces of debris began to fall from the sky and into Taris' grassy plains. Thrask was horrified, believing that the Galaxy was coming to and end. Over the next few days broadcasts would reach them of the loss of one of the greatest planets Thrask had ever known, as Corellia had been split in two.

Now, with no School and many of his friends and teachers likely dead, Thrask had to face the full reality of the world. He had been shielded from hardship for his entire life, but their System had been hit badly and it would be all hands on deck to help the refugees who had managed to flee and begin to mend the tragedies caused by the Netherworld.

YOUR SILLY NERVE GAS WONT STOP ME. I AM A DESCENDANT OF DARTH MAUL!

[member="Felran Natri"]

Silly? And it won't stop you? God mod, I say. Unless you can hold your breath for a long time or have a gas mask, it WILL kill you unless you can get away from it in time.

Speaking of holding breath, now I know to make it to where it can still kill you through your skin pores, which modern chemical weapons can do. A gas mask may have kept mustard gas from killing you, but it still damaged your skin and body through prolonged skin exposure.
