"You gotta be kidding me."
Nichos Velt had to read the bounty that was displayed on the datapad, he almost let the datapad slip from his hands as he stared in awe hardly able to believe it. "You look like you've seen a ghost Nichos," the wheezing, muffled voice of the Halfling: Danwrick. Like most people from his race, Danwrick was a short, rotund person encased in a suit. Since Halflings came from a planet that was made out of methane, they had to rely on a suit whenever they go off planet. As such, it is unknown what they look like outside of their suits. "That's because I am seeing one!" anger laced Nichos words slamming the datapad onto the table. A few weeks ago, Nichos contacted Danwrick to see if he could hook him up with big money jobs, most of the bounties Nichos was collecting were easy but paid lousy. Nichos wanted more credits and for Force sakes a challenge, if he had to round one screaming Gungan who pisses himself instead of putting a good fight, he would blow their brains out and just take the lesser pay.
But alas Nichos has a reputation of being a professional and there's not many professional Bounty Hunters around in the galaxy.
"So this.... Steelfist," Danwrick said leaning at Nichos who took a quick swig of alcohol in an effor to wash out the shock that was taking over his body. "He's a friend of yours? Don't tell me all the years we've worked together that the business has become personal?"
"Hey frack you!" Nichos took a quick huff of his Deathstick as soon as he put down his drink. "Steelfist and I ain't friends! Never was! He was an old enemy I thought I've killed back in the Mandalorian Wars. I've fought Mandos up close on the field, tough sons of guns all of them. They got a sense of honor and pride but not his nutcase, this guy is a flat out sociopath."
"Like you."
"Oh shut it!" Nichos said sticking his Deathstick onto the table before placing it in his mouth again. "You think I'm crazy...... this guy he kills children indiscriminately murders civilians with a smile on his face even after they surrendered. You know why they call him Steel fist? It's because he enters the homes of conquered cities tells the family that everything is okay before he beats him to death with his armored fists. I've seen mutilated families of those he murdered, Steelfist is a fracking maniac! I was sent to kill him 8 years ago and I thought I did but....."
"He survived," Danwrick finished. "Mandos are hard to kill my friend, he's been making the rounds lately. Killing holdouts belonging to the Sith Empire leaving no survivors."
"Ever since the Sith betrayed Mandalorian and sacked Mandalore," Nichos piped in. "It's not surprising that they would fight back."
"Well a few Sith nobles have issued a high price to whoever kills Steelfist," Danwrick said. "It's a very lucrative reward but Steelfist has surrounded himself with elite Mandalorian soldiers many of whom killed multiple Jedi. You'll need help."
"Yeah?" Nichos laughed. "I work alone and that money is mine! Who the frack do you have in mind?!"
"She'll be arriving soon." Danwrick breathed.

She had found another sparkplug.

This time it was hidden in Bonnie's storage compartment. One of these days, Pravus Cruento Pravus Cruento was going to run out of plugs to plant everywhichwhere. The damn fool. Yet it still made her smile everytime they popped up.

So for a change, she was in quite a good mood as she made her way to Tatooine to meet up with her contact. All Danwrick said was to get her arse to Mos Eisley and that he had a bit of big job for her.

Things have been quiet on Scarif. No new threat to shoot at for some time now, so she had been growing a bit restless. This job was a welcome change.

It was good to see Tatooine again. Her trips here have become less and less in last few months. After touching down in her usual bay in Mos Eisley, she mad her way over to the cantina.

Stepping inside the dimly lit bar, she looked around for a spell until she saw the Halfling.
"Hey, Overgrown Meiloorun!" she called Danwrick as she approached him. "How are you, old sleemo?" she asked him.
Her grey eyes then caught sight of the big man next to Danwrick.
"Who are you? His new body guard?" she asked him.

Nichos raised an eyebrow staring at the young woman giving Danwrick a hard time. "Ah Aela!" The Halfling said while Nichos took a long drag of his Deathstick and blew it in the smoke in the air. "So this is going to be my partner?" Nichos snorted. "Come on Danwrick you know me. I don't do partners they tend to be liabilities."
"You'll love her!" Danwrick said adjusting his yellow goggles. "Aela is the best pilot I've known in my life, she can fly you in and out of a zone faster than the Millennium Falcom did in Kessel Run. Given where Silverfist is stationed at, you're gonna need someone who can get you close to him."
"Where the hell is he?!" Nichos said putting down his Deathstick. "This guy was one the best mercenaries in the galaxy 8 years ago! I killed the fracker and he just emerging."
"Here's the thing Nichos," Danwrick said. "After you've defeated Silverfist back in the Mandalorian wars, his clan abandoned him. They felt if their leader was taken down in battle in a dishonorable method then he is no longer fit to lead."
"Shit!" Nichos spat. "These Mandos and their strange traditions! Kill a bunch of men, women and children! A-Okay! It's honorable and all that tripe! This is the way! But one defeat and then all hope is lost and we have to cut off the weak link."
"You forget," Danwrick mumbled. "That Silverfist's clan is one of the more bloodthirsty ones in Mandalore. Even his brethren are disturbed by Silverfist's..... practices. But anyway, Aeloa has done some work for Silverfist so it'll a bit easier to approach him. Try to get along with her."

She folded her arms across her chest as Danwrick spoke.

The more this Nichos spoke, the more Aela's brow furrowed.
"Listen, Moof-milker, if you are too damn scared to fly with me, then you can go ahead and walk there. I'll wait for you at Silverfist's camp, sipping Spotchka." she quipped at him after they had spoken.

She turned to Danwrick then.
"I think your man needs some courage juice, Old Man. You partnered me with a coward it seems." she told him, still eyeing Nichos.

She looked back at the surly man, resting a hand on her hip.
"I'll be at Bay 6 until nightfall. After that, I'm leaving on my own. So if you want to change your mind and fly with me, change it before nightfall, Bantha poodoo." she told him, cocking her head to the side, ogling at him.

She nodded at Danwrick, gave Nichos a wink and then marched back out the door and back to the bay where the Nightingale was parked.

Though his face was hidden behind his mask, it didn't take a genius to know that Danwick was flustered at Aela's belligerence. For a middleman, the Halfling can be a bit sensitive at times. A bemused look spread across Nichos' face witnessing Aela's spunk unfolding. "A coward?!" He laughed. "Shit I've been called every name in the Galaxy yet that's the first time someone has called me a coward. Where did you find her Danwrick?"
"Aela is a good friend of mine," The Halfling answered. "She's been doing work for me for years and she's damn good at her job."
"I like her!" Nichos said inhaling a puff of smoke from his Deathstick and blowing it in the air. "Aela got some brass balls to go with her cute face!"
The Bounty Hunter smiled. "Are you single?" he asked.
"Damn it Nichos!" Danwrick growled. "Keep things professional! I don't think Miss Wren appreciates flirty personalities, I would advice for you to hold your tongue or Aela may lop it off."
"Chill Danwrick," Nichos chuckled. "There ain't going to be anything like that, I already go a lot of shit on my mind right now."
Like how the frack did Silverfist survive the Mando wars, he saw his corpse there was no way anyone would've survived a thermal detonator charge. "I'll see you at Bay 6 Aela," Nichos said getting up. "Gonna prepare first."
