The fires of war burned across the galaxy as they ever did. It seemed an almost unending problem in this age. As the years passed by there was always another battle, always another fight, always something to struggle against.
At one point Kassus' had been so sure there would be an end.
He'd been convinced if they fought hard enough, if they just tried, they would manage to put a stop to it all. The very thought seemed naive now. There was no stopping the cycle of it all. The wheel turning once more. It all made him feel so helpless, so powerless. He was a Jedi. A man filled with more power than most, and yet even he could not stop the turmoil erupting within the galaxy.
Maybe that was the truth of things, maybe none of them could. War was a symptom to be treated, not a disease that could be wiped away. "This way."
The Nautolan said as he reached out and gently guided one of the elderly refugees towards the nearby ships. Letting a kindly smile draw upon his lips as the woman stepped towards him, her expression of of loss and despair.
"The corps has food for you, a blanket and a bed to rest." He smiled warmly down at her, his hulking form enough to eclipse the sun from her view. She seemed to stare for a moment, eyes not quite comprehending the sight before her. Then slowly the elder nodded her head, offering a smile to return his as she grabbed his hand allowed herself to be guided up the ramp towards the rest of the camp.
"This way!" He called as he passed on his new friend. "There's food! Water! Blankets."
Warmth was such an easy thing to miss in these times, but it was still needed.
Kassus slowly stepped away from the ramp he had posted himself on, instead threading through the crowd as he picked up a small basket of food and other necessities. There were still more to be seen to.
