This Time, You Are Invited

This time, Veiere would say nothing; though he had heard [member="Connor Harrison"] and offered a firm and approving nod in response, acknowledging and showing that he was in some small way glad to hear of the males response before vocally stepping back and allowing [member="Lady Kay"] to resume their conversation while he listened. The Silver Sanctum Coalition, they had been called at the time that he had met Theodred and later been invited to their territories in order to get a better perspective over who they were and how they all lived. While they had split off from the Jedi Order just like those of the Galactic Alliance had to form the new Jedi Academy, Veiere found that they still lived by a very closely similar set of moral code, not unlike the Jedi had in the past. While they were more casual towards keeping all their members living within the light of the Force, it had not shown an ounce of negative effect towards their overall coalition in keeping their many systems safe from outsiders looking to do them harm or injustice. It was an alliance that Veiere would readily accept, for both of their sakes, and with a little positive bias knowing that it would likely see him involved once again with others of a likely mind to his own.

"To be honest, I know little of Commenor and your people,” he gave a sheepish look to the pair. "It’s a name I know, but little I know of.”

He stepped forward.

"To know we have alliances out there is greatly important for us; to bridge cultures and ways of live beneficial for the wider galaxy and our people. I would love the chance to see what you do; who you are, if that’s alright?”

Kay wasn't surprised that [member="Connor Harrison"] and others hadn't heard of Commenor. For hundreds of years, it flew under the radar and it's ship building industry all but disappeared. And with it switching sides or going neutral on a constant basis, there was no wonder for it being overlooked. But that wasn't a bad thing.

As for Connor's request for more information, Kay wondered if maybe he was asking it of herself, as well as Commenor. But of course she stuck with the latter. "Sure. Follow me and I'll take you to the tourist centre of the building. It has a big holomap that I can show you and also has a bit of Commenori history."

She led both Connor and [member="Veiere Arenais"] down the hall. After a few turns, they were soon in a large room full of holo displays and historical artifacts. She led them over to the large holomap. "Here is Chasin City. If you look, you can see the many different Embassies here, as well as the shops and University. Commenor is a neutral planet that was recently under Sith rule, so it wouldn't be uncommon to find them here. Most are gone, except for the Red Ravens, whom are trying to change their ways for the better.

Back in the days of the Empire, Commenor had a rather large shipbuilding industry, manufacturing Star Destroyers and other large vessels. But that ended after the Empire fell for the second time. So instead, Commenor bolstered it's economy in trade and in the arts. Plus it's churned out a few good politicians in it's time."

She waited to see if he had any questions before she was to proceed.

Veiere walked with the pair, though trailing behind them both while his eyes had found his datapad and he seemed somewhat frustrated at the device. He hated technology, though understood just how much they relied on such things, it counteracted the natural mind and potential of the sentient body; not to mention that the Force did not flow through such things and like a rock to the running rapids of Commenor's rivers, the flow and lifeblood to all things, swept around such things, never penetrating them. As a former scholar of the old way, he had been known to be somewhat fussy in towards such ideals. Ever the teacher and study of the Force, emphasizing the brilliance and beauty of it before Svivren had been wiped clean and his papers lost to the uprising of the Sith Armada. A forgotten age. Old habits however do indeed die hard.

Lifting his gaze at the mention of the Empire and their efforts on Commenor long ago, Veiere gave a considerate half nod, not having known of the connection and soon questioning the relevance of such things silently within. By reputation the Imperial Armies of the Empire had been widespread and devastating; but how much of their former presence had been integrated into Commenor's own ability to defend itself and if the need arose, seek out to fight in the defense of others. They had a fleet, yet Veiere had not spent any time aboard one of their capital vessels. He would need to rectify that one day soon.

He remained silent, listening and attentive of the datapad he held in his hands, ensuring that things were all going smoothly elsewhere as they headed the preparation for the days of celebration to come.

Apologies! Other threads have had me caught up >.<

Connor followed Lady Kay and soon they arrived in the room with a large holomap. He took it all in as she spoke, looking at all the intricate detail and scope of the city.

Throwing a glance to her aide, who didn’t see too phased by it all, Connor nodded and looked back.

"Diplomacy is an art the Silver Jedi are always looking to expand; people in the right positions of power and who know the right connections to help when the heat rises, that sort of thing.”

He stepped forward, rubbing his beard as he looked at the city map.

"Please, continue. I’m thinking we can easily establish an outpost here; a connection to Voss and a place for those who want to study the Force to come under our wing. Not taking them from here, of course. Just giving them the right tools to flourish.”

Diplomacy was the best way to go about things and it should be the first. But there were many these days that looked for any excuse to go to war. There were far too many that profited on it. The abundance of credits gained blinded them to common sense.

"I don't stop the Commenori from living and learning elsewhere in the Galaxy, if they wish. That would be very hypocritical of me to do so and not very kind. But what I do wish to remain steadfast on is that the Commenori soldiers stay home. Our numbers are small compared to others as our population isn't very large. We need them here. No planet is safe from invasion or domination and I would hate to have it happen on my watch, while our forces are stretched across the Galaxy. It may be a selfish thing, but we have many Embassies and dignitaries to protect. If the next President wants to do otherwise, then that's his or her decision. It just won't be mine."

Kay glanced over to [member="Veiere Arenais"] while he studied his datapad. She couldn't quite tell how much he was listening, but she would assume that he had heard her. He seemed to be as much of a pacifist as she was, but one never can tell. She then looked to the map, moving in beside [member="Connor Harrison"] as she began pointing out various buildings and blank spaces. "There are some buildings that you might find suitable. Or, you could always use one of these parcels if land to construct your own in the way that suits the Silver Order. Either way is fine."
