They Never Saw It Coming ; OOC

Alright, I've been talking about doing this for a while now and it's time to get everyone on the same page otherwise interest will fade and my (less then) carefully selected group of cohorts will scatter to the winds as they pursue their own endeavors.

Goals, Objectives, Purpose:

·~· The purpose of our endeavor is to complete a 100 post thread which will allow Zenva's Company, Blood Hunter's Iron Works, to advance to Tier 4.

·~· The ultimate goal here is to create a substantial development thread which will allow me to manufacture a Stealth System Suite for her company to produce. Naturally each of you will be eligible to create your own personal stealth tech simply by helping with the Stygium Crystal heist. I intend to create a small group of "prize ships" to award everyone for their assistance. These however, will only go to those who remain with the group after the heist and help with the development.

·~· First Objective, The Heist ; Target Maramere

-Two teams, Ground and Aerial, will each be performing a smash and grab simultaneously. Ground Team will be lead by myself. Aerial Team will be lead by Flannigan.
-Ground Team will assault a moderate sized mining and processing facility. Expect heavy resistance, mobs of no name goons and battalions of refurbished B1 battle droids. Secure the local stores of crystals, and evacuate.
-Aerial Team will engage a small pirate fleet. Disable the target transport vessel and exterminate their escorts. From there, board the transport, fight through the defenders, and secure their cargo.
-The idea is to finish both attacks at roughly the same time. Ground Team will need to rejoin the fleet so everyone can escape together. Communicating in this thread will help. A lot.
-Take your time here guys and girls. A well written, and thoroughly enjoyed story is the name of the game.

·~· Second Objective, Shake Down Run

-Those who choose to remain beyond the heist can help explore a prototype ship. This ship will be the basis of the prize ship so everyone is welcome to throw in their two cents in this thread about WHAT exactly the ship is. My personal idea will come later.
-Basically (for simplicity sake) we tour the ship and take her for a spin. We'll spend some time talking about the individual components of the stealth system and weaponry, blah blah blah.
-It's pretty straightforward here folks. Give flesh and depth to the system and the ship so we meet the 100 post requirement.

TOYS! Oh, the Opposition too... I guess.

·~· Zenva's company is providing anything it can to see this through. Need Body Armor? Have some! No seriously, if you want the armor or just plain need some, use it. Keep it while you're at it. Call it a bonus.

·~· Our Fleet will consist of five capital ships and their respective support craft (full hangers). Zenva's Company's military fleet to be specific.
-The Warhammer : Cruiser
-Predator : Frigate
-Instinct : Frigate
-Devil's Maw : Corvette
-Hunter's Boon : Corvette

·~· The enemies. To appease certain persons involved, and to settle an old grudge of Zenva's, our enemies are thugs, brigands, troubleshooters, and nar-do-wells of a NPC criminal group known as The Ko Hentota. This small cartel is trying to step up in the world by making a name for themselves with this stygium heist. Be aware, these guys aren't slackers. They are named for an area of Nar Shaddaa which they originate from. Their killers, and good at it. They aren't big time already because a group of Jedi laid waste to their main compound a while back. Fearing another intervention of the Force-wielder variety they have acquired some EG-5 Droids. I'm including these specifically to help balance certain people in our group. You know who you are. So please enjoy the challenge!

As we have had a largely positive (even if unfinished in-thread) past experience, Ryn would be alright running the ground game with you. Consider my sword as your shield, Blood Matron.

Only afterwards, as part of the lightside arc will be that Abyss won't have access to his power, as it it fueled by the darkness. Would he fun throwing him in a fight like this, but considering that this is meant to be a dangerous and hard mission he would probably be pretty useless.

His powers could begin failing here, to give us some drama, and give you some IC reasons to approach Ryn.

Just spitballing ideas here. At the very least, after this thread, when stuff starts getting wonky on you, you'll have a potentially neutral point of contact on the light side.

I do not own a ship, but I own a parachute, I think the plan going forward will consist of having to hope to get a long lasting upwind and shooting wildly from the air. Or I just go 'borrow' a ship from the Cartel. I think the later is more effective, plausible and likely to occur, though the later is more dangerous, exciting. Truly a dilemma of the millennium.

If I am being totally honest, I haven't heard from Flannigan OOCly in a couple of days. I know he can't do anything between Monday to Wednesday but even this much is strange.

Alright after some thought, some discussion, and some review, I'm going with the original plan. We're just modifying the team composition a little. Flannigan is swamped with RL things, which is totally understandable, and Cadan hasn't replied with any interest soooo...

Understand, Thraxis is utterly insane so we're actually relying on Jhett and Talak to keep things running smoothly in space. Jhett are you comfortable organizing the space combat aspect, you know ship combat and the like?

We four will assault the processing facility on the ground. It's not perfectly balanced but it's more balanced than having 7 people all effecting the same area with their actions.

Edit: Upon further contemplation Jhett, don't worry about taking command of ship combat. It will increase my workload but I have an NPC specifically meant for commanding Zenva's fleet during ship combat.
