Private They Brought the Fireworms

The Zesstrax were a species few in the galaxy has met and they fought fireworms... which was cool enough. Matsu visited a few of them from time to time and she worked with one species she knew she could bring to aid in some things. Infernyx were Silver Jedi allies... Beautiful in their style and it was amazing to see them swim through lava. The canyons of the world housed one of the chapter houses they had set up for the jedi. Allowing training and study on the planet itself. She had invited the padawan she met on chalacta here to explore. She had thought at first he might be tied to the Zesstrax but she was not entirely sure. The species were similar in some ways but the Zesstrax were large and more humanoid in some ways. She stood there in the chapter house as it was a nice controlled area. THe arisen biots moving around as they cared for it and they had some of the creche matrons here. A handful of children who moved around giving the place the sounds when they were singing with the children. THey were here able to learn a lot more as Matsu glided through the airr with a smile on her face letting them move with her. She breathed in taking them and some of the other padawans off towards their training rooms.

novac was a little surprised at the invite but he was glad to come none the less. the planet was quite nice. quite warm, novacs favorite, him being cold blooded and all. he arrived with his hk droid following behind, not by novac request but by hk-87's request. novac had never been to this planet before, but he did do a little research on the way. some interesting species lived here, including a race of snake people. not to different from him, but at the same time very different. novac already knew of 4 snake races, his own thisspian and ssither. then there was also the hysalrian, a much more mysterious race, its said one once was the instructor to the legendary jedi yoda. the other where the slussi. novac hoped he got to meet this new(to him) species.

arriving in the room matsu was in he saw her surrounded by other padawans and kids. she sure knew how to get alone with others. "hello master, its good to see you." novac said with a smile.

The feeling of the world in the force as she moved, the surrounding molecules vibrating with the force as movement continued to come from around her. She could sense the padawan as he arrived and turned to look at him. The infernyx there before she spoke with a bow. "Welcome." SHe noticed the droid with him and bowed. "And to you as well." There was a smile on her face while she moved. "How have you been padawan? I know when you first came to Chalacta you were looking for something so I wanted to make sure that you were finding everything that you needed." She said it and the large dragontaur was there as her tail flicked but she was looking out towards the fires. "Hopefully Eol Sha is not too much. The fireworms from time to time become a little much for the local chapter house."

novac looked at the infernyx besides mastee matsu. he'd never seen one before. they where quite tall, taller then him, well unless novac stood taller on his tail more then usual. they looked impressive. he gave her a small bow "hello there,".

looking back at the jedi master, "i've been well been doing some work on my droids, found out there was a junkyard on chalacta so i've been looking through it. found some new parts for my droids and half of a droidika, really old model but a neat one." he listen as she mentioned the planet and "fireworms you say, i think i've heard of those once they live in or around the lava right? anyway, i never knew there was a chapter house here, though im sure theres many i dont know about." the jedi really where spread all over the galaxy huh. wonder if him being on chalacta was just random chance or the force guiding him.

"oh i almost forgot, hk introduce yourself" he says under his breath while elbowing the hk droid with his bottom right arm.

"hello miss matsu. i am a hk-87 droid, you may call me hk." novac looked back at matsu, "i know a jedi having a old assassin droid model ks a tad..weird. but i found him when i was younger, reprogramed him so hes not so, murderous, now hes part friend part bodyguard. he wanted to come also."

hk gave novac a quick glance, "you programmed me to protect you. this planet is full of fire and lava. you except me to not accompany you?"

She looked at him and offered a nod. "Assassin droids are an interesting choice of companions but I have seen a lot and some of it might surprise you. Just be careful in the creche sections of the temple the Nanny and caretaker biots are programmed to defend the children from an invasion force." She said it and the droid didn't bother her as much while she moved around in a glide. Rarely needing to touch the ground before she confirmed. "But yes the worms are near the lava pools and inside of them. They do not come near usually but sometimes they do and it is easier to relocate them as opposed to fighting them." She said it and the chapter house was now on the world. "And with me, you'll learn a few things. Chalacta is promising to begin to learn."

"honestly you should see what animals i have on my frigate," he said with a chuckle. "hm makes sense they'd rather relocate them, i'd imagine worm that live in lava would be pretty strong. definitely durable to. hm could probably take a lot of blaster fire to, lightsabers might not work to well either, i mean they could. but to be able to live in lava they must have a insane heat resistance. though of course they probably have vulnerabilitys like all life. best way to deal with them would probably be gases. so,e kind of sleep gas would probably be amazing for relocating them to. that or some kind of bait traps or lures." novac said this to mostly himself, loud enough where others could hear but not meaning to. "oh! uh sorry i was rambling again. yea your probably right, not only do i have a lot to learn, but im sure you can teach me plenty. anyway, so what exactly will be doing here?" novac didnt know the reason for her inviting him here with her but he was more then happy to come. she was a grandmaster after all so being invited by her was a honor to him.

SHe gave a nod. "They are, the scales they have are strong enough to deflect a lightsaber and there was a time when they were being harvested for it. We have managed to work on protecting more of them. It was why the chapter house was put here." She looked at him and listned with some interest as there was always a chance for insight from anyone you met. Perspectives were unique in many cases and it would allow you to see some ideas that maybe you hadn't seen before. She went with a look. "It is quite alright, you have the idea of most of it. THe worms and other species on the planet are incredibly durable compared to other places. We have studied shedded scales and worms that we have discovered."

novac listened to her, they use to be harvested for their scales? hopefully that didnt invole killing them, but it most likely did, plus the way she said it made it soumd like they where. their shed scales could be useful though, and a humane way to get them. it wouldn't surprise him if in the future the people of this world found a way to "farm" them. not in a killing way but like how you'd sheer animals for wool. but instead of sheering you just collect their shed. "makes sense they would, im sure some people would love to get their hands on them, wouldnt surprise me if someome wanted to breed them so they could kill them and get as many scales as they needed. people like that are awful. but anyway, i was wondering why you invited me? this there something we're here to do or learn?"

"I try to check on every jedi that I am able to. The orders are large and it is always possible for others to get lost within or overlooked." She said it while motioning over towards the window. "There is also the curiosity that I wanted to see. The Zesstrax and the Bo-dun, you and a few others are similar but scattered largely around the galaxy. It makes for an interesting roadmap to to discover commonality." She said it. "Though the Zesstrax are larger then most I have noticed and not as often to come off world." SHe was moving but made it so he could come with her. "There is also the benefit of one on one as opposed to groups. Learning what you can aand being able to ask questions."

"yea it is pretty interesting how theres only a few snake like species like me. the ssither where almost wiped out when their sun exploded, their population has been growing though. i've tryed to see if there was some connection but i havent found anything. but i mean plenty of species evolve and look similar, i mean look at all the near human species." novac hadn't met any other serpentine species himself, he'd always hope to of course. he followed matsu as she walked, well floated along and listened to her. "i get what you mean most of the time it was just me and my old master, cinia, so being in a group is actually pretty new to me." he'd had trained with his droids as well but that was mostly just sparring so it didnt really count.

"It can and when you start looking to otherr places and beyond well it opens up even more." She said it and was there for the moment as she stilled. "But tell me about your old master... orr are they your current maaster?" She was curious. Moving through the chapterr house there was more. Rooms of training jedi and droids who were working on equipment. The local populace meeting jedi for different reasons in different rooms and holograms connected to the different circles. "I try and at least know the names of various jedi masters, in case there is a need for someone with skills I might not have knowledge of."

oh yea, he never talked about his master much had he. "oh cinia? shes a chelidae, a turtle like species. she found me a year ago on butlers cove which is why im fairly old for a padawan since the planet is kind of secretive. shes actually cant speak basic, none of her species can. she has a translation droid but i managed to learn her language. their also extremely slow, like annoyingly slow. but she makes up for it by using the force to make her faster. took me months to be able to fight her our sparrs just because her speed alone. shes also a fairly good healer, she tried to teach me healing but i never got the hang of it. i am learning to speed myself up with the force as well though. shes technically my master but she thinks shes taught me all she can, thats why im with the praxium now so shes also kimd of my former master. the frigate i have was actually hers but shes past it down to me. she stay on chandrila now, enjoys the mountains and valleys there. i can visit her whenever and still talk to her every now and then. shes a kind amd patient woman, she definitely needs that for me hehe," she had taught novac more or less everything he knew. with out her he wouldnt be here, wouldnt have explored what he has of the galaxy. he wouldn't have any of his pets or droids if she never found him on butlers cove.

She listened and found a place to sit as she was in the air with her legs crossed and offering a nod of her head. His master sounded interesting and on Chandrilla she would have to visit... having a reason was rarely important. She could make it easily enough. "I see." She said it while looking over at him but was amused. "Well I am not nearly as exciting. Though I have traveled maybe to more worlds than most and studied nearly a hundred force traditions to bring their understanding to the jedi. Including the darkside to better understand the exploitation that is used and manipulations. Then I just dedicated myself to simply trying to improve the orders... and I rebuilt the economic watch circle cause funding enclaves, chapter houses, praxeums and temples caan become expensive if you won't want to just have a government pay for it."

novac tilted his head a little "not as exciting? please studying all those traditions, helping grow the jedi by helping enclaves, chapter houses, temples and what not. thats amazing. im sure you have quite the storys to tell of the worlds you've been to as well. i haven't been to many planets. certainly not one like this," he says looking out the window to the lava lakes below, "warmest planet I've ever been to that's for sure. it has a surprising beauty to it. im sure many would just see a burning hot world but it is weirdly pretty. though im definitively going to have to see the fire worms for me self later, and the zesstrax as would be nice to meet also." new creatures to meet, another serpentine race as well, this planet had a good bit to offer to novac. it was exciting, a world he'd never been to and being wtih a grandmaster.

She looked at him and gave a bow of her head. "Well thank you, it is a goal to try and expand and preserve the order. We have developed other aspects though and that will hopefully advance the orders understanding... or at least allow for the jedi to spread. We have already started building temples across the galaxies thanks to the temple spires." She said it and there were the silver spires they sent out to galaxies with droid staff and hypergates. She was moving outside for them to be able to move around in the surface as she was letting the heat wash over her. The gliding around easier as she went over the rocks and the pools without her robes touching it.

"you ever not float?" novac said jokingly with a smile. he used the force to make a small platform of rocks as he followed her, making sure to leave room for the droid. she must hafe a lot of control to be able to float all the time. novac looked around at the scenery. it was hard to imagine there was so much life here, let alone species that flourished in these conditions. at least it wasnt some frozen planet, now*that* surprised novac on how anything could live there. "so there anything we're studying or training to do here in particular?"

"I float?" She said it and looked around making a small scene more to spin in the air as she did it so she could look at the ground and at her feet. "Hmmm I didn't notice. I guess altering the molecular density keeps me lighter then so I appear to be." She shrugged coming back to her place though as she was moving and let a hand move through the air. She looked though. "I practice and train for sustainability and stamina within the force, to better understand it but also observe through art of the small. It has some... interesting trade offs.One is my relationship with gravity and density... but it also means that I am able to research better ways to use such a technique."

"huh i see. i've been working on using the force for a long time. its fairly good so far. i've got a few "tricks" so far. climbing on walls/ceilings by using the force to push myself against it. plant surge, which i actually used on my frigate to make a large section for my pets. took a while to do and i haven't trained with it enough for combat. i've started to get force speed down a bit but only to make myself a bit faster then normal. and of course beast control. oh i've also been working on using the force to fight with my sabers, like this." he says as he makes his 4 sabers float in a circle around him and ignite.

hk leans back a little unable to take a step back "sir, i recommend you do not do that, there isnt much space on this platform you made, i'd rather not be hit by a lightsaber or fall into lava today."

novac looks back, he'd almost forget hk was there "oh sorry," he says as he turns his sabers off and puts them back under his cloak.

Four sabers... four. She looked at him and gave a nod enjoying it. The interesting applications were something that she could support. She clapped a little seeing the platform and she moved around it with a small look. "Good stability, height and control. Decently sized though based on your droids complaints could use a little more. Though size might be related to mass, if you are controlling individual pieces and bringing them together." She tapped her chin while she was moving and looked over his sabers. "Skilled as well, gathering four crystals is helpful and depending the construction of them in the assembly crystals could serve different purposes. A good benefit." She said it and held her finger up aas she encased it in enerrgy, the ta-ree energies gathering and wrapping around her finger. "Though I have been practicing a few other means, the Ta-ree techniques allow for encasing anything in energy and can be used as a lightsaber."

novac turned his sabers off and used the force to float them back to their place under his cloak. "ta-ree?i dont think i've heard of that. but encasing anything in energy? that sounds like it could be extremely useful and strong" novac had known she must be strong, she was a grandmaster after all. but able to do that is impressive.
