Fallen Knight
Reeling from a recent attack, the events of the skirmish replayed over and over again in Cas Tynen's mind. Masked figures, clad in dark clothing and cloaked in hoods - their weaponry was unlike anything he'd ever seen: weapons made from some kind of nanotechnology allowing these attackers to construct any kind of weapon. However, what concerned the Jedi Knight the most was the fact that he couldn't sense them through the Force, their intentions, their feelings, their surprise attacks. Nothing. Nor could he harm them with any Force-based attacks... it was as if their connection with the Force was dead. While on a mission, Cas fought off a gang of these mysterious attackers but with great difficulty, almost falling to them in the midst of one surprise attack that could have proven fatal had the Kiffar not taken the brunt of the attack with his shoulder.
In time, Cas fought them off, driving them away... or at least he thought so. They just suddenly stopped fighting and left abruptly, but not without Cas leaving them with a parting gift: a tiny tracking device, barely noticeable to the naked eye. Immediately and giving his shoulder no time to heal, the Jedi began tracking these mysterious attackers for the next few days eager to find out why they attacked him and to make sure they never do it to anyone else.
The Jedi's search would lead him deep into the Unknown Regions, to a metropolitan moon that these attackers had been staying at for the past few days. He'd never heard of this moon before, but with it being located in the Unknown Regions, Cas knew to keep his wits about him. Garbed in his cloak, Cas wandered the streets of this city like a shadow, overlooked and unidentifiable. The pain of his shoulder was a dulled, throbbing pain. Making the Jedi Knight consider whether to visit a doctor during his time here, or to just dope himself up on Stimpacks until he returned to Silver Space.
Cas' determination would outweigh his physical needs, burning hot with the intensity of Tatooine's twin suns and he continued to through the city, to the tracker's location. Rounding into an alley way, Cas' guard was up and he was prepared for any surprise attack - the signal of the tracker was located right in the middle of the alley. Taking slow and careful steps, the Jedi found the minute tracker on the ground but still activated. They wanted him to find it, but why? Kneeling down, Cas reached to pick up the tracker and examined its contents. Cas' ears perked at the faint sound of a glass bottle roll across the ground in the distance, his head glanced up and subconsciously, the Jedi's lightsaber was ignited and he found himself blocking an attack from a nanoconstructed sword. "Oh, you wouldn't happen to know where to find this gang I'm looking for would you?" he quipped, disengaging the blade lock and following it up with a sweep of the leg. Rolling forward, Cas hangsprung forward on his best arm and flipped over the downed attacker.
To make matters even better, the whole group emerged from their stealth spots with all of their weapons in-hand and began to close in. "You found them! Thank you, you've been a big help!" the Jedi quipped once more, directing it at the attacker he'd knocked over who was in the midst of getting back up to his feet. Cas' shoulder pain began to flare up, not the best time, because right now? He'd been in for one of his toughest fights.
