Location: Quarter of Emissaries
Local time: 13:50
With: Kei Westbrook
Emissary: Tyaxiv Tyaxiv of the Wyrru

________________________________________________

A Jedi Padawan had many important duties. Uphold the light, serve those in need, protect the innocent. It was a solemn burden and honour which they would carry through their lives as they graduated to Knighthood and was even kept upon becoming a Jedi Master.

Not all duties carried the same weight, however. At least that was how it seemed to Mathieu who had been tasked with preparing the meeting location for when the Wyrru emissary arrived. Still, he looked upon the task with enthusiasm, seeing as he was also there to meet with the alien. The species was still rather new on the galactic stage and had in relative terms entered it recently. They had, however, managed to make an impression. Being the lover of stories and heroics that he was, the tales of how the snake-like species had rescued spacecraft in dire need of help had not escaped the young Morellian.

The round room in which they were bound to meet sported a wonderful sight with the city on one side and the sea on the opposite one. It was a good introduction to the Silver Jedi Concord, showcasing both the vibrant life which it protected and the peace which it hoped to achieve. This was not always an easy task and many forces in the galaxy kept them from ever truly getting there - but at least it could be found here, well within the Silver Sphere and protected by those who would sacrifice so much to preserve it.

A smile spread across the Padawan's lips as the automatic doors swooshed open and he set down the large plate on the table. They were not having dinner - but at least they had three sets of fruit along with a water, coffee and tea. Mathieu had already discovered that reading up on the species was hard, seeing as how new they were to the rest of the galaxy and the, almost, mythical status which they had achieved. Still, the fact that they didn't seem to have arms was a recurring theme and so, he had ensured that the fruit would at least be easy enough to grab if someone just bent down to eat it with their mouth or used some other means of acquiring it. Everything was in order, or at least so it seemed. There were plenty of paper blocks, pencils, secure datapads and Dictaphones laying in a neat pile on the table and in the cupboard by the wall a few blankets and cushions could be found in case the visitors wanted something soft to increase their comfort levels.

Soon, he would leave the office and move out into the grand hall of the building, giving a nod to the protocol droid and the astromech which stood outside the meeting room doors, both ready to spring into action if needed. The shorter droid sent a few chirps at him, causing a few chuckles to escape him as he produced a warm smile. "No, buddy, I'm not carrying any blasters. We're just looking to make friends today" he said but was quickly faced with a retort as the droid questioned why he still carried his practice blade, clearly having failed to spot his stun baton "Well. Uhm, I don't know. Jedi tend to carry their lightsabers around, so I might as well bring my practice sword, right? Anyways! Gotta run!"

The conversation ended abruptly, but if it had been allowed to continue, the little droid would probably have kept pushing. And Mathieu was not well prepared to handle that. Instead, he entered a light jog, quickly making his way towards the building's official landing platform which could welcome ships of various sizes. Nervousness started to seep into his mind as the meeting was about to happen. But at least Kei Westbrook would be there. He had met the Master before during a class on the basics of the force. The man could be rather intriguing at times but ultimately, having someone he knew from before there to lead the meeting would be most helpful and appreciated. The broad-shouldered Padawan clasped his hands in front of him once he reached the platform. A soft and natural smile slowly seemed to form on his lips as his nerves calmed and his excitement about meeting a Wyrru in person kept growing. This would be a day to remember.

This was a day to remember.
Never before had a wyrru set scale on a planet. At least not with the intentions of doing so. Some, like Peaceful Chaos - known in basic as Tyaxiv - had made it there on accident. Still, they had never been to such a populated planet. Bellow the ship lay sprawling cities and vast oceans. Liquid oceans. They had often encountered frozen oceans in a planet, or even what the wyrru referred to as space oceans, which were fields of frozen water, but they had never seen a liquid ocean. Not in person at least.
This would be the first of many new experiences. After the Disappearance of hundreds wyrru, along with millions of other sentients in this galaxy, their people had decided to enter this small system. This galaxy that thought themselves so large and grand. Even Peaceful Chaos, young as they were, had seen other galaxies in other parts of the universe. Never like this though. Bellow them, the planet sprawled with cities. A bustling hub of life that they could feel all the way from the atmosphere. Within the feeling of life, entwined with it, living in every being, every decision, every interaction, was Peace, and Chaos, and Balance. The Siblings, entwined in every aspect of the universe.
That was one thing they could never understand about the Lesser Known Galaxy. Throughout all its history, they seemed focused on one aspect or another, peace or chaos, absolute control or absolute disorder. It doesn't work like that. The three were inseparable, one couldn't be had without the other. To do so would only make things worse.

Eventually the ship came in to doc. It's unique appearance drawing the attention of all those in the room. It was definitely eye catching, with its blue and orange paint, reminiscent of a nebula. On one side, painting in black with the symbol of the Siblings. On the other, writes in their native language, was the name of the ship, which translated roughly to Lucky Survivor, a testament to all the odd situations the ship, and consequently Peaceful Chaos, had found itself in.
The space port is large and open, the carpeted floor helping to keep echoes to a minimum. Not that the noise would have bothered them in the first place. Around the port, people mill. From humans to besalisk, the place is filled with others. Many of them dressed in traditional clothes, dressed up for politics, or the robes of the jedi. Compared to them, Peaceful Chaos sticks out like a sore thumb. With their colorful headdress and bright blue body paint, marking lines down their back, curling down the face and beneath the eyes. It was a simple pattern, compared to the complexities of paint many of the older members of the species wore, but Peaceful Chaos did not have the experience of applying the paint to make such complex patterns. It wasn't just the clothing style though. Above them and slightly to their right floated a translator droid. A black metal snake painted with emerald and green markings, Reminiscent of the paint on them, except done as if someone had scratched the black off to reveal a nebula beneath. To his left, floated a crate. Full of similar droids along with their designs. With the droids were dozens of data chips, each of them containing information such as the language of the species. For personal study and download into droids.

Peaceful Chaos brings their attention to Mathieu Brion Mathieu Brion as he approaches. The young human shone brilliantly in the force, though his presence seemed unrefined. Then again, humans didn't have thousands or even hundreds of years to learn the subtitles of it. Few species did. Leveraging his tail up, the wyrru began to sign, the droid not far behind in repeating it.
"Thank you for agreeing to meet with me. I am Tyaxiv." Here, the droid uses the basic translation for the name, as Peaceful Chaos set it, they were aware their name in basic would translates to definitions, and that definitions were not used in basic names. Still, the method was less than perfect. Much like lip reading, some sounds were almost identical while the words they mean could be completely different. "I'm the diplomat of the wyrru people, though I'm sure you're already aware of this. As a thanks, and for easier communication later, I've brought eight more translator droids and the schematics to make more. Along with data chips containing our language for any who wish to learn." With their piece said, Peaceful Chaos lowered their tail, motioning for the young boy to lead the way.

He had faith in the kid.

Why he had put so much faith in the kid, he would never know. He had only met Mathieu a handful of times and he had already trusted the kid to serve as a diplomatic envoy for a species that Kei had never even heard of, never mind seen.

It was one of the many duties of a Jedi and that was what Kei was hoping to teach the young Padawan. Being a Jedi wasn't just about using the force and doing awesome tricks involving jumping and running very fast, it was sometimes about sitting in a boring room, drinking tea and listening to the demands of some species you'd never even heard of.

The moment that Kei had been assigned the job of diplomat he'd roped Mathieu into it. He'd tracked down the young Jedi's room and given him the information that he had been given. Kei really hoped that Mathieu had done the reading, because he hadn't.

Mathieu had gotten the room ready for the talks. Kei was impressed with how well the young man had done. The room felt formal yet calm, it felt like somewhere two Jedi could sit down with a diplomat from another species and just talk, just discuss.

He adjusted his
robes and double checked his lightsaber. He had contemplated leaving the blade in his room, especially due to it's unique color. He had indeed contemplated, but had decided to bring it along anyway just to be safe.

Jedi tended to carry their weapons with them, for reasons Kei had never been sure of. It just felt right to always have it in reach, especially after how long most Jedi spent building them. Kei never wanted to part with his weapon of choice, he had put too much into constructing it.

Mathieu was, if everything was going to plan, meeting up with the diplomat. Kei had checked the time and realized that showtime was approaching, that the time was coming when he would need to become more rigid, more formal and more serious. His usual laid back approach would work no longer.

He sat down at the head of the table, eyes on the door, and waited.

It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To meet a species which so few had met before. While he did manage to keep his mouth closed, a smile still characterised his lips as he approached them. A handshake was, naturally, not on the map. The lack of hands did make certain traditionally common conventions rather obsolete. But then, the Padawan had no qualms with bowing and did so respectfully upon being greeted "It is our pleasure. We hope to form good relations with all beings." he said, knowing that the path to the good relations he spoke of may not always be the easiest. Soon, he continued "I am Jedi Padawan Mathieu Brion"

Naturally, the young Morellian's eyes had went from the Wyrru diplomat to the droid and then back again a number of times. It was a curious machine and the fact that the snake-like beings had managed to produce them was impressive considering the amount of meticulous work which had to go into the production of them when assembling the hardware and programming the software. It made him happy to hear that the Wyrru were so keen on establishing good ways of communicating with other peoples. If nothing else, it was a sign of where their intentions laid. "Thank you, I am certain that Master Westbrook will appreciate the gift. Many of our scholars will surely enjoy studying your language."

The diplomat signalled for them to move on and Mathieu agreed that it was a good idea. A hover cart stood nearby and if something needed transporting, he would be happy to give a helping hand, otherwise, he would simply lead the way to the conference room, quite taken by the way in which Tyaxiv moved. As they entered the main body of the building he spoke "These is the Quarter of Emissaries. Many meetings with foreign dignitaries take place here." With wide pathways and a rather distinct lack of stairs, it was well suited for a number of species and the rounded features inside had a soothing effect on many of the visitors.

After a short while, they arrived by the entrance to their conference room. The doors automatically swooshed open as they approached, revealing the round room and its nice view. Upon entering, Mathieu discretely bowed his head to the Jedi master before stepping to the side to let the two diplomats introduce each other in person. Once the initial introductions were made, he asked "May I offer you anything to drink?" first looking to Tyaxiv and then Kei.

Truly It was a beautiful building. Though the concept was still foreign for them. Almost as foreign as organic foods or liquids. In space, the raw components were easier to come by than any organic form. It was for this reason wyrru were made to consume these forms of food, as opposed to the organics other species preferred. With that in mind, it wasn't such a surprise that Peaceful Chaos declined the drink, though they waited until they were settled in a chair to do so.

"Before we talk politics, I'd like to make you aware of some information. The holodrives contain the same information, but as your both here now, it'd be easier to tell you. The wyrru, as a species, are deaf. We live in the depths of space, where sound doesn't travel, so ear canals are of no importance. Most of us do understand GSL, and with our vision, which is near three sixty, we can see what you sign wherever you are. The second thing, though much more trivial, is we do not eat organic foods or liquid drinks. In space, dust or sand sized particles of raw elements are much more common, so any solid foods have a high chance of killing us."

Peaceful Chaos adjusts themselves, head turning so as to look the politician in the eye. His the golden tips of his nebula horns catching the light, the symbol of the Siblings standing stark against the darker colors

"Another envoy should be coming in a few weeks to drop off the basics of our biology. What's poisonous, whats not, along with information needed for emergency first aid. I would have brought it personally, but we are a long lived people, and as we've seen, many sentient species live a measly eighty years, so we're needed to cut out much of our information into what a person can learn in just a few years." This was the problem with being an unknown species, no one knew even the basics about you. Peaceful Chaos didn't fault them, it's hard to know about something you've never met.

"With that out of the way, let's get to business. As a diplomat of my people, I'd like to propose a sort of alliance. We are interested in the goings on of the lesser known galaxy, and would like to expand our presence in it. Of our goals, I've come to the Silver Jedi Concord with two in mind. One is knowledge. We are a knowledgeable species, and have studied planet bound species for a long time, However, we have avoided this galaxy recently, with its outbreak of wars and unbalance. So we are unaware of any information in the last four hundred years or so. We also chose the Concord specifically for your number of force users. We are a Gifted species, and while we have our own techniques and styles, we would like to trade knowledge with you and yours."
Here they wrest, dropping their tail to curl around them on the chair as they wait for the response of the two jedi.

They were an interesting species by the sound of it.

Kei seriously hoped Mathieu had done the reading, because he hadn't. He was learning about this species as the droid was translating the noises that the man was making. He was seriously hoping that the translation droid was able to translate basic back to their language.

"Guess we're skipping the introductions then? For reference, name is Kei, Jedi Master of the Order. Obviously I'm sure my young friend has introduced himself to you. In response to your question Mathieu, I think i'll be good on the drink front. Come take a seat, here what our friend has to say"

As the creature spoke, the being known as "Tyaxiv", Kei studied for any give away signs of ulterior motive. Normally they were easy to spot, clammy hands or shifty eyes. With the species sat in front of him, the lack of hands made it incredibly difficult to spot the tell tale signs.

"What you're asking for, in basic, goes by the name of a research agreement. We share our knowledge and you share yours, kinda like a joint library but in digital format. I don't see no reason why we can't work with that, seems like it carries little risk and a lot of reward"

He looked at young Mathieu, and nodded.

"From our end, all we'd want is freedom of movement through your territory, including medical and militaristic movement if we need to move ships through your space. I'm sure the young Padawan can draw up something official if that's what you'd prefer"

Kei was not shy. When the Wyrru diplomat didn't introduce themselves and instead took a position by the table and declined a drink, the Master was fast to express the lack of introductions. Mathieu felt bad - maybe he should have taken the initiative to introduce the two parties himself - but it was too late for that now. Instead, he simply nodded at them as they declined the drink, first to Tyaxiv and then to Kei.

Instead of immediately taking a seat as per the instructions, Mathieu raised an arm towards the diplomat "Yes, we introduced ourselves. This is Diplomat Tyaxiv of the Wyrru people." His words were calm - he had stood guard at many important meetings during his time as a mercenary and had apparently been able to pick up a thing or two about how to conduct himself. Much to his own surprise. Hopefully, this would be enough to smooth over things and help the meeting progress further.

After having taken his seat, the Padawan listened to the others speak. A soft smile grew on his lips as foreigner mentioned life-spans. Morellians could live for a long time - but other than that, they were hard to distinguish from humans but in truth, there was no need to bring it up now. The Diplomat's point was not that all normal species lives for relatively short duration, it was that most of them did.

The more senior Jedi seemed to be able to put words to what the Diplomat really seemed to be after - because the Wyrru mainly emphasised on the exchange on scientific advances rather than some form of military cooperation. And in truth, that was probably more in line with the interests of the Silver Jedi Concord anyways.

Having tried to read up on the matter and spoken to a Jedi Master about it, Mathieu didn't feel totally unprepared for the task of participating in the talks. And while information on the Wyrru were scarce, he had even tried to read up on them to the best of his abilities. Anyone knowing Mathieu and how strong his dislike of studying was would know what a herculean effort he had made. Turning to a computer console, he activated the holographic display at the centre of the table and mentioned "Let me know if you want to make amendments, changes, additions or removals. This is still very much a living document" before starting to type.

This agreement shall reflect the conclusions of the talks conducted between Diplomat Tyavix representing the Wyrru People and Jedi Master Kei Westbrook representing the Silver Jedi Concord on Commenor during year 860 ABY.

All parties intend to keep the agreement alive and honour the spirit in which it was signed. The agreement is signed with respect to the intrinsic value of all life, equality between all sentient beeings, the right to life and freedom under the law.

The Wyrru People and the Silver Jedi Concord agrees to establish a research agreement, hereby referred to as RA.

The two aforementioned parties will also agree to free movement of people within their respective spheres of influence.

The Wyrru agree to allow military and medicinal ship movements through their space territories.

Chapter 1 - General Provisions

1 § This agreement may be terminated by either signing party unilaterally.

2 § Upon termination, information which have already been exchanged may be kept and both parties will be obliged to allow safe passage for visiting citizens of the other party to leave their space.

3 § Any party may, at any time, request terms of the agreement to be renegotiated.

4 § This agreement shall not transmit obligations onto other factions which either contracting party has made a separate agreement with.

5 § Any territory which a party claims to own or is making continuous non-military use of is to be considered part of their space or sphere of influence.

Chapter 2 - The Research Agreement

1 § The two parties agree to exchange on existing scientific technological progress through a thorough data exchange.

2 § Future advances will be shared continuously between the parties in the fields of technology with direct effects on quality of life.

This includes but is not limited to: Health-improving technology, geological findings related to planetary environments and educational advancements.

3 § Regardless of what is said in Paragraphs one and two of this Chapter, military technology and technology developed for such purposes shall not be shared.

4 § Regardless of what is said in Paragraphs one and two of this Chapter, the exchange of technology will respect individual rights, including copyrights. Agreements existing prior to the signing of this document shall remain unaffected.

5 § Technology received from third party sources with a similar agreement to a contracting party is also unaffected by Paragraphs one and two of this Chapter.

Chapter 3 - Free Movement of People

1 § Citizens of the Wyrru people and the Silver Jedi Concord shall be allowed to move through the territory of the signing parties without discrimination.

2 § Discrimination is allowed in case of a special security check and shall be accompanied by a letter by the acting faction where the necessity of the action is justified.

3 § Discrimination is allowed in the case of a signing party expelling a citizen of the other party and in the case of a signing party blocking a citizen from the other signatory party from entry. This may only be done on an individual basis and needs to be accompanied by a letter by the acting faction where the action is justified.

Chapter 4 - Military Access

1 § Military and medical vessels of the Silver Jedi Concord shall be allowed to pass through space within the Wyrru People's sphere of influence.

Mathieu had been typing for a while, probably while the Master and Wyrru diplomat kept talking. He had not picked up an advanced grade in interplanetary politics but he had done what he could to produce an adequate document. In truth, much of it came from other agreements he had looked at in regards to the standard items and a few points were there because of tips he had received from the Master he spoke to before. Still, he hoped that it would reflect the talks to a satisfying degree.

Spines clatter and good natured humor expresses itself in the force. "You misunderstand. Not that I fault you for it, you know little of my people. We don't have territory in the traditional sense. We are a nomadic species, and we travel much of the universe. The closest thing we have to territory are the nebulae that we use. Nebulae are where our people meet to trade and celebrate, but we do not live in them. We would welcome you into them though. Provided you follow our rules. Nebulae are our... holy places." Here, the droid falters and glitches, trying to fit the definition for a nebulae into basic. In truth, nebulae were the memorials of their people, a statement of the past and a hope for the future. There was no accurate definition for it in basic.

"Because of this, fighting in the nebula is forbidden. However, you are welcome to come to trade or meet the leaders of my people. We are a technologically advanced race, and have many things planet bound species may benefit from. This actually relates to the second reason I came to you. My people are interested in... relief efforts? We would like to bring Peace to those ravaged by Chaos and Chaos to those stagnating in Peace." The translation here was rough, fully of cultural context that the others wouldn't get. Peaceful Chaos' spines ticked in annoyance. "That wasn't the best translation. Suffice to say we want to help those in poor situations improve."

Mathieu looked up at the Wyrru diplomat as they explained the way in which their people carried themselves. "I am sorry, Ambassador. For planet-bound nomadic cultures, the clause in paragraph five of the first chapter usually works well since they tend to continuously occupy a piece of land for a period before moving on - and even at that point, it is not uncommon for them to move between a number of lots." The Padawan felt silly - of course there was a difference between nomads in the vast 'emptiness' of space and those on a planet. And that was about as much as he could say too "Of course, your situation is different."

Mathieu fell silent as he listened to what Tyaxiv proposed. Relief efforts. It was a good start - but then came the rather confusing wording about chaos and stagnating peace. Silence fell over the room. Mathieu hoped Kei was pulling a diplomatic manoeuvre which he was unaware of and instead concentrated on the stories he had heard about the Wyrru and the research he had done in preparation for the meeting. It was all vague but he did remember reports of a traumatised spacer who had been rescued by a snake-like alien repeating the name 'Kortaknak' and 'balance'. He reflected over what it could mean until he eventually snapped out of it.

Both he and the Jedi Master who represented the Concord had been quiet for way too long. Carefully, Mathieu glanced over to Kei and it suddenly dawned on him. The Master was waiting for the Padawan to speak. It was a daunting challenge but the former Mercenary had attended several of Kei's classes already. If anyone was going to challenge a Padawan this way, it was him.

"Aaaaahm, yea..." he cringed internally as he awkwardly broke the silence which had made its presence across the room known. Maybe something to drink wouldn't be so bad after all. Mathieu took a deep breath and leaned forward with his arms on the table as he spoke "Instead of agreeing on open borders, maybe we could amend the proposed Agreement to include more direct scientific and cultural exchanges. We conduct numerous research and exploratory expeditions and the Wyrru people seem to do the same. It may benefit both our peoples if we work towards mutual participation during research projects and expeditions under the condition that the commonly produced progress cannot be traded away unilaterally. This would for all intents and purposes be a joint declaration of intents with instruments to allow for easier cooperation" he said, editing the document to see if the others approved.

For the second part, Mathieu would stay his hands - further clarification would be needed. "The people of the Silver Jedi Concord believe and participate in humanitarian relieve efforts and when a people flee the horrors of those who wish them harm, our borders tend to be open for them. Joint efforts between people used to working with each other sounds like a good path towards saving many a life." This was the easy part - but what could the Diplomat mean when they spoke of bringing Chaos to those stagnating in peace? Could it be part of the balance which this Kortaknak was associated with? There was no way to go about it other than to ask. So far, the Wyrru Diplomat had shown a strong commitment towards communication and Mathieu hoped that he had not used up too much of their patience "What do you mean when you propose bringing Chaos to those who are stagnating in Peace? Many of our citizens are content with the peace they have within our sphere." For now, that would suffice - hopefully, they would manage without having to resort to speaking of some old spacer story.

The young man seemed to understand much of what they said. That was a relief, the droid, while helpful, wasn't the most accurate. Now they just had to explain a major part of their religion in a way a planet bound would understand.

"Think of it like..." What
was it like? How to explain it to one who had none of the common experiences that wyrru did. The glass of water caught their eyes, sparking a study they had done some fifty years ago. "Think of it like your water. Rushing rapids can be chaotic, and dangerous. If someone tries to swim across it, they'll drown easily, smashed against stone and tumbled around. It is dangerously chaotic. On the other side, you have still waters, like a mirror. While necessary for the birth of many things, if it remains calm it can stagnate. Mold will begin to cover the surface and animals such as harmful leaches and larva will make it their homes. The water will become putrid. This is stagnating peace. Though I think calm is the correct term in basic." As they spoke, Peaceful Chaos played with the water in a clear glass. Nudging it this way and that in reflection of chaotic rapids and stilling it when they spoke of still waters.

"The waters are still calm, but they are stagnant without any waves or movement. By adding movement, in this chaos chaos, it breaks up the mold and washed away the larvae and the leaches. It's all about balance." Hopefully they could understand the analogy. Otherwise this would be a much longer meeting that originally intended. Wyrru knew from studies that these "mayfly" species didn't like sitting for days to listen and understand. Their lives were so short already that every day was precious to them.

Their stomach growled, protesting the lack of food. Peaceful Chaos couldn't hear it, but they could feel it cramp up inside. Still they ignored it. The Concord had provided food, and it was rude to eat food brought by oneself when others offered. Even if the food was inedible to them, Peaceful Chaos had embarrassed the boy enough already. No need to add insult to injury.

The lack of objections to the first point was a good sign. While he was sure the two representatives would like to fine-tune it, Mathieu was glad that they were making progress.

Mathieu listened closely as Tyaxiv spoke of what he meant, looking at the glass of water when the Alien tried to illustrate it. As with many illustrations which were made on a more abstract level, it allowed for wildly different interpretations "Would corruption be a fair example of what you perceive as the results of, uhm, 'stagnating peace'? Wouldn't the best option be to hone in on the corruption and try to affect the rest of society as little as possible?" he asked, figuring that, if they used a concrete example, it might be easier to know precisely what the Wyrru had in mind. It would help determine if they could work together or not - seeing as Peace was generally something which most Jedi regarded as a positive thing - it was, after all, part of their code.

Their spines twisted, a wyrru version of a sigh. Why were these people so slow of mind? Maybe it was the oxygen they breathed, messed with their heads or something. Still it would be best to answer.
"Think of it less as peace and more as a calm. To answer your question, yes, corruption is one of them, but it's also a lack of new growth and ideas. A complacency of 'this is how we've done it so this is how it will remain'. For example, corruption is a sign, but true stagnating calm would mean the people do nothing about the corruption because everything is calm on the surface, even if things are slowly getting worse, it's not a big enough wave to break up the mold, so to speak."

Hopefully that explained it. Surely it would, these planet side species live much shorter lives, so surely they required brains that reacted faster? None the less, Peaceful Chaos leaned back in their chair, tail signing as they did so. "When i speak of chaotic waves, i mean things from the destruction of someone's home, to walking on deck and finding your hatchling has filled the room with glitter. The things that break up the regular day to day activity and challenge us to think, to change, to laugh, to do something other than the repetitive calm." They shifted, sinuous body aching from the constant upright position. Would it be considered rude to lie down? They didn't just in case. Still their body ached fiercely. Maybe once the current problem was solved, they could could adjourn for the day. The trip here had been long, and their body was still unused to gravity. Some time spent on their ship with its specially designed anti gravity generator would be a relief.

The Jedi Master had sort of mostly paid attention.

Diplomacy and politics wasn't his strong suit. He was a warrior at heart, he always would be and he knew that. He hated that part of the job description when it come to being a Jedi Master involved sitting in rooms like the one he was in, talking politics and stuff he didn't understand or care about.

Mathieu was holding his own, he was a good diplomat and was filling in where Kei wasn't. Mathieu was doing brilliant, and occasionally Kei looked over at him with a glint of admiration in his eye. The young Jedi Padawan was extremely smart and good at politics.

Kei picked up the documents in front of him and looked over them. They were good, very good. It was just another thing that impressed Kei about Mathieu, he seemed to have a skill at writing legal documents that Kei was sure would come in useful.

Kei put the documents down, and nodded.

"I'm impressed, we seem to have a lot in order and I can tell we all want to get some sleep, it's been a long day. The only things I'd like to add are simple. I'd like to add the ability to conduct joint rescue operations and I'd like permission to explore your nebulae if possible. Other than that, everything seems in order"

Orange pink eyes watched matheiu's reaction as they spoke. He seemed to understand what they meant. That was good. He didn't seem to agree with the idea at first. From what they knew, Jedi strive for peace, so hearing that the wyrru wanted to break up peace was likely a cause of alarm for the man.

Eventually Kai started talking. He seemed oddly silent for the older of the two. Was their information inaccurate? They had know that the general hierarchy was the older over the younger, for the more experience they had. Could that be wrong? No, it still seemed prevalent in other areas. Likely the boy was just going through a trial, asked to take lead and show his knowledge.

Thinking over the man's proposition, Peaceful Chaos made his response. "These seem reasonable. Although i must add that you'll need to contact the wyrru before entering a nebula. They have low visibility for planet bound species, we wouldn't want you running your ship into a home or a nursery."

The man went on to speak of concluding the meeting, something Peaceful Chaos was immediately grateful for. The stylus rose into the air as The spoke, signing a signature on the now edited document.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea. If you would be so kind, I'd appreciate some time back at my ship to relax. Strong gravity wells such as planets can become painful after long periods of time and my ship is designed specially with an anti gravity generator." They paused, headdress tinkling as the stones and metal swung into each other in time with the slight swaying of their body. "If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to stay for a few days to explore your temple and city. We haven't been back in this galaxy in force since the plague and shadowed years. Much of our information on the Jedi is years out of date."

As they slid off the chair, they noticed in their peripherals, an area which was surprisingly far back due to their 360 degrees of vision, that the chair they had used now bore a dark burn mark. Oops. "I apologize for the chair. As an interstellar species, we function at a much higher temperature than humans. I didn't realize how long i had been sitting down. If you'd like, I'm willing to replace the chair for you." Hopefully it wasn't an expensive chair.
