Let it Grow, Let it Grow: On the surface, Cythrid’s fascination for fungi may be mistaken for a love of nature in general. Without much question, one might find her goal to be a noble one. What they don’t see, however, is the far more malicious intent hidden just beneath the surface.
Infectious Personality: Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s the spores getting to you. Either way, the Wyldemother has a sort of presence about her that’s hard to forget. And if you do manage to, the spores that have made their way into your system from being in her domain make sure you never truly forget her, not really. Indeed, the Wyldemother has numerous agents throughout the galaxy, many of which are unaware of the case.
Fungi at Parties: With her lair isolated in the jungles of Dxun, the Wyldemother’s knowledge of the modern world lies mostly in the thoughts and memories of those who have been added to her connected consciousness. With that lies opportunity to possess knowledge otherwise lost to time but on the other hand, she’s not exactly hip with the kids. Having information is far different from having the social context of how to use said information.
No Morels, No Problem: Mortals these days seem so caught up in the dark versus light, good versus evil. What’s on the Wyldemother’s mind? None of that, only expansion. There’s room for everyone in Cythrid’s domain. Sure, to be counted among her children is to sacrifice your autonomy, and chances are, the choice is made for you, but still, talk about inclusivity.
Form for Sporet: While far from confirmed, it’s entirely possible the form the Wyldemother is often seen in is far from her actuality. Rather, the humanoid laced in lichen is but a mockery of humanoids, meant to lure them in.

You couldn’t kill me in a way that matters.

How exactly this being of rot came to be is perhaps something lost to time. Her origins are shrouded by isolation and ambiguity. A mutation given sentience, or an entity in the force, given form in decay, thriving where others dare not grow. And with that, just how this being grew in power remains also a mystery. Nevertheless, her power grew, taking root in Dxun where public eye seldom tread. The folliage that once knew life knew only decay, maintaining a facade of life only to draw people in so that they too would join in the decay.
