DESCRIPTION

The Wolf’s Lament is a Lechner family heirloom which has been viewed as a collector’s item more than a weapon. It was created by a long time ancestor on Figaro Favoura VII at a time when Lupine’s made up the dominant portion of the moon’s population. Always wanting more of an edge against other rival packs, Hans Lechner poured darkness into a slab of phrik, imbuing the metal with the ability to latch on and enhance the ability of the user to connect with the darkside by latching onto the strongest negative emotion. This earned the blade the name “The Wolf’s Lament.”

Lechner after Lechner carried the blade until the use of the force was all but forgotten among the family. It was not until Gerwald Lechner discovered another secret his family held about their Lupine heritage. They were naturally force sensitive. Upon leaving with the CIS Gerwald took the knife with him, unsure of what it was designed for. Until recently it remained among his belongings as a reminder of where he came from. Unsure of his need for the weapon, Gerwald made the decision to part with it, and while it was no small feat to give up a family heirloom, the person it was gifted to was found to be more than deserving and in need of the expression of his gratitude.

As for the blade itself, the knife is a work of art. Forged and folded carefully as to ensure the blade was appealing to the eye. The fine craftsmanship makes it a desirable piece to be worn and put on display. The metal wolf on the butt of the handle marks the knife as the property of a Lupine, or that was the intention when Hans forged the weapon. Polished and blue painted wood makes up the main portion of the handle, and the sheath is painted to match.

The blade is made of phrik which makes it nearly impossible to destroy, and as such makes for a good weapon when all others fail, or if an emergency arises. It was never designed to be the owner’s main weapon, and serves more as an artifact with the imbuement it possesses. However, a sharp blade can do wonders when needed, and one never knows when a dagger can come in handy.
