Zeptepi felt Euric hesitate, and understood it for good reason. The jedi slipped down upon his knees, but the Master was not fooled into thinking that the Jedi would not have one last desperate act left in his spirit. In the blink of an eye she physically apparated to stand beside Euric, her essence in the Force trailing up behind her in swirling tendrils of thick black smoke. "Never forget what you will learn here," she said to him.

She held within her fingertips a synthetic kyber crystal, charged in the Darkside of the Force, suspended by a leather cord. She placed the crystal into Euric's hand. "Free him of his chains," she guided Euric, regarding the fool jedi. "Give him back his humanity. Show him how to feel emotions again," she instructed.

Zeptepi folded Euric's fingers over the end of the crystal. She extended his hand outward, to hold the tip of his crystal upon the forehead of the ailing jedi, Euric's first trophy kill. "Reach out to him with your senses. Get a feel for his limited capabilities in his Force. This is the weakness of the Lightside, an unrealistic path in the Force which prohibits man from existing as nature intended. This is clearly no path for any man. It exists because of lies… a sacrilege and against the ways of the Sith." The kyber crystal hummed as she assisted Euric in drawing into it the essence of the jedi apostate.

"Sense the hypocrisy between the reality of his existence and his self-imagined life purpose. He claims to bring about peace in the galaxy, yet he lives a life of ongoing inner struggle. How can he approve of anyone else's sense of humanity, which clearly opposes his deepest beliefs based on self sacrifice?" Zeptepi knew that whatever the answer to her question the jedi might produce, could he still speak at all, it would be a blatant falsehood. "To dwell in the Force is our most profound passion as Sith."

The cyber crystal radiated a brilliant red glow. "This is a being whose entire lifetime has been one based on falsehoods," she declared with an air of pity for the absurdity of jedi beliefs as she knew them to be. "Should we have him pass into the nether realm an absolute moron? Let us bottle up his life-force and set him aside, that in the future we may give him a life purpose that can train him up rightly in the Darkside of the Force."

The practice of entrapping souls is her Father's teaching, but is in no way his practice alone, but is one common among powerful Sith.
