Faction The Waybinder Office is Open

Upon his shell
The Waybinder will see you now

There was always an open door policy to contacting Vodet, to voicing concerns that each individual Enclave sees, so that they could be approached in a calculated way by the Council. And depending how that worked? Vodet could assign ServiceCorp members or call out to any possible wayseekers or Jedi-by-title folks in the regions. His contacts and desire to help the Enclaves keep their autonomy? That was the biggest piece of how he felt that the enclaves should work.

They helped Jedi.

They protected Jedi.

He was ready and able to speak to anyone, knowing he was here on Naboo, they could come visit, or they could send him Holonet communications, however they wanted to.

"Well, I mean... guys like us, we're not exactly the type of people they write about in history books, you know? But the people we saved, they're our legacy."

Katarine had been contemplating her place among the Jedi of this era for what felt like an eternity. Ever since the cataclysm had torn her from the underwater prison on Naboo, she had wandered the galaxy in search of understanding, only to find it fractured in ways she could scarcely reconcile.

In her time, the Jedi had stood as a unified Order: one Council, one Code, one purpose. There had been distant enclaves, yes, but they were all threads woven into a single, cohesive whole. The Jedi Order had been vast, powerful… singular.

Now, everywhere she looked, there were splintered sects of fragmented orders with their own leaders, their own doctrines, their own interpretations of what it meant to serve the Force. It was disorienting. Unsettling.

She had read about Order 66, of course. Perhaps this fragmentation was a safeguard, and way to ensure that no single blow could ever again shatter the Jedi entirely. Or perhaps it was something else entirely. Survival, reshaped into division.

It was difficult to tell.

Still, Katarine needed answers.

When she learned that one of these emerging Jedi factions maintained a Council member whose sole responsibility was to oversee and coordinate the scattered enclaves, she knew she had found her starting point. The title alone, Waybinder, suggested someone who understood both division and connection.

And so she waited.

Silent and composed within the halls of the Shiraya Temple, Katarine stood ready to request an audience with the one who might finally help her make sense of this new galaxy.

“Are you here to see the Waybinder, too?”

Cora smiled to the woman lingering outside of the council chambers. She appeared refined, pretty, with dark hair that held curious streaks of white. A particular sort of weight hung heavily on her brow, and Cora could only guess as to what caused it.

Though the Ukatian enclave was not an official part of the Jedi Order’s network, the two entities were friendly with one another. The little agriworld had only a single temple, focusing their teachings on healing, plant surge, and mediating disputes in the local community.

“Cora,” she dipped her head briefly in greeting. “Have you ever spoken to Councilor Vodet before?”

"Are you here to see the Waybinder, too?"

Katarine had been lost in her own thoughts, so much so that she had not even noticed the other woman who was waiting. She looked up and smiled, though her deep green eyes looked tired.

"Oh yes... I am."

She nodded her head as the woman introduced herself. "Katarine. I worked with him once when we were building an underwater temple but I do not think I had the pleasure of ever speaking to him. Have you?"

She let her eyes wander the hall for a moment, wondering if she had missed anything else.

Upon his shell
Vodet was unsure what Jedi on Naboo would come to visit. He assumed reps from Jakku, Ukatis, perhaps Kashyyyk, though the last had their direct connection to his own world. Kattada didn’t need to come to the capital, but some still may.

Looking at the chrono, the Yinchorri stepped forward, nodding as he could sense the others outside. He had a few reports from Kattada to file, mostly calls for power cells and fuel, but those at his own Enclave were known to making their ships run on pure will.

Some of the smaller border enclaves were calling for a visit and Vodet was working the map ahead of him to ensure that an ordinance team was moved. An ExplorCorps team was needed for a geologic survey on some of the new worlds in the Republic as well.

All very interesting.

He could feel the others outside the door, and when they were ready, the door would be opened to them. One of the beings was familiar, the other had the weight of leadership on her.

He’d let them be ready, but then he would be ready all the same.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Katarine. And I've yet to, but I've heard good things about Councilor Vodet."

Patience chiefly among them. No doubt the Master could sense them lingering on the other side of the door. Katharine's gaze drifted somewhere beyond her for a moment, and Cora didn't prod.

She let silence sit between them until her gentle voice slipped into the quiet.

"Would you like to go in together? I don't mind giving you your privacy, if you'd prefer."
