Strengths:

  • No touching: The underlay of the armor provides excellent protection from any manhandling Force users. Apart from the head, Adder cannot be affected by underhanded space-magic tricks. It also makes her far more difficult to detect through the Force.

  • Apage energia: Between the glistaweb, phrik, and shell spider silk, energy-based weapons hardly leave a scratch. Blaster bolts harmlessly bounce off into other directions (preferably the attackers), while lightsabers will have a hard time penetrating the phrik plating as well.

  • Spatial awareness: The DRDS system that she keeps on her utility belt helps her keep a much broader and more informed view on her surroundings than any HUD could provide. She can peek around corners and secure rooms she’s never even set foot into.
Weaknesses:

  • Sssizzle: The glistaweb in the armor underlay can be killed by lightning. And, also, Adder can be killed by lightning, provided it’s long and strong enough. Because armor is metal, and metal is conductive. Aren’t physics fun?

  • No helmet: Because Adder is a pilot, with a piloting helmet and a mask. She operates quick missions and leads raids; in-and-out. So, no helmet, and no head protection.

  • Shoot fast: High-velocity slugs and heavy blunt trauma will still do a lot of damage to Adder, even if they won’t penetrate the armor. Think organ soup in expensive packaging.

  • Die middle-aged: The armor is designed to be light and mobile, and therefore features exposed sections around the joints, where the plating gives way to the much less durable armorweave.
DESCRIPTION
The Alliance fell to the concerted effort of the First Order and Imperial forces.

But Adder had lived through the fall of the Galactic Republic before, and had seen the ash recede as surely from the blaze of the sun as the ice melted in spring. Years had tempered her rage, honed her bitterness; she would not give up.

So she collected many of her compatriots in arms and spirit, from the ranks of the SIS and the Wraith squadron both, and formed a small, tight-knit group of resistance fighters. Loosely affiliated with the Alliance-in-Exile, but ultimately untethered to the whims of its scattered leadership.

With this new team came new tasks – raiding, guerrilla fighting, and bringing relief to occupied, war-torn territory. And for this new tasks, she knew she would need better protection than simply her trusty jacket and quick draw.

So she invested in this – the Viper.
