Description:
The Verge is a new and somewhat popular cafe in the Core District of Cinnagar city. Located on a busy corner within the famous district of Empress Teta, The Verge attracts many influential, sometimes even royal, business people and celebrities and profits greatly due to the sort of credits that their patrons are willing to spend for an excellent cup of Stimcaf, Caf, Coffee, and Stim tea. Other exotic and expensive beverage are also sold there, as well as various house-made pastries and breads. Owned by the affluent Eryn Korus, a Tetan entrepreneur, The Verge was built to be a modest one hundred and forty-five square meters with a long, extended, bar and a dozen or so tables with controlled lighting. The ambiance of the cafe is intended to be quite, relaxing, and perfectly suitable for quiet book readings or a casual date for two.
History:
Tetan entrepreneur Eryn Korus bought the plot of land used for The Verge in 840 ABY, eventually paying for its construction that was completed mid-year 849 ABY. The financial backing for the company come both out of Mr. Korus's own pocket, as well as from investments by the Restaurant, Hospitality, and Tourism Department of the Empress Teta System's government and many Tetan nobles that tend to spend their money on such establishments that are popular in today's culture in order to look or appear ahead of the curve in trends. The building for the building itself took about eleven months, and permits pulled for the building itself took two years for approval - during a period in which the One Sith was incredibly strict with development in case of rebel influence.
Because of the Empress Teta System's joining the Galactic Alliance, businesses such as The Verge now enjoy a true free-market experience with very little influence from the Alliance itself, much contrasted with the strict rules that the One Sith had during the latter years of its lifetime.
