The Undesirables Visit Bespin (Smugglers/Open)

Tin'tinag

Life is a queen, if not it would be to easy
She rolled her eyes at [member="Novin Jackal"] comment, they didn't need him to tell them how dangerous sun guard were, did all mando's thing there the only ones with combat experience, not that she didn't hate braggers but people that showed disrespected using it were not something she liked. While waiting for [member="Caelen_Tercept"] to get searched for any concealed items she turned her attention back to [member="Catherine Jones"], the captain was putting on a display that even made her a bit hot under the collar. 'she certainly seems to have a handle on things, and maybe getting handled'. She couldn't wait to see how the storm troopers reacted to this, teasing military personal was always fun.

Chubs frowned a little at the smuggler captain. He was disappointed there wasn't at least some level of decorum held, and typed 'Sex Tourists' on his datapad. It was an ambiguous enough term, but Central Command would understand well enough. "Seems everything is in order." Chubs said, sending the data file through. "If you're lucky, you won't be seeing us again," Chubs said, "And if you don't, well, it'll be interesting testifying at your trial."

Sergeant Erwin Grigore shook his head, at the commentary, "Crazy horny bastards." He muttered, "Wave 'em through private," The sergeant ordered to his troopers before turning back to the group of smugglers, "Welcome to Bespin, and enjoy your stay." The sergeant turned his attention to the stormtroopers, and gestured for them to move up to the ramp of the ship. Beasley peeled off, and moved to the spaceport offices, having taken the impressive arsenal of weaponry with him. "Private Hadley, buzz a deck officer," The officer commanded, "It looks like we have some investigating to do."

As he was 'waved through' Caelen would bring the top of his body back, moving forward, and actually doing a handstand, only to fall forward, and land on his legs, before standing up, rolling his neck. "Tin'tinag, lets head out." He'd state, looking to her, as he began to move forward, he waved the rest of his crew off "We're hitting up the cantina. Have fun with whatever else you ordered!" He chuckled, hoping Tin'tinag would catch up with him soon.

It was a routine walk-through in the days after the Alliance had been repelled at Bespin, and life as usual was returning to the common folk. Security had been ramped up in light of recent events, and so the Bureau of First Order Security had installed several Imperial Agents to deal with oversight of the transition back to routine.

While Stormtrooper presence was not incredible due to the presence of local security, the First Order were not ones to neglect protocol. 0772 and several of his compatriots had just finished a daily tour of Cloud City, and were preparing to head toward the incineration plant to view progress on repairs and clean up when their comms were buzzed.

Keywords flashed across the screen of his datapad as the Telepath flipped the screen open, and he frowned. "Sex tourists," he mouthed the words with visible disgust. "Matthes, what do you make of the Private who sent this?" he asked of another Agent.

"Bored and lonely," the other man drawled. "And most likely a fetishist. Gets off on typing refuse like that across official channels."

0772 was halfway through drafting a reprimand when he saw the attached manifest and quirked an eyebrow. "It appears our deviant friend has stumbled upon something above his pay grade," he said as he tapped the exit icon on the reply and enlarged the document to review items. "I will follow up with Private Hadley and Seargent Grigore."

The other two offered stiff salutes as he broke from their ritualized walk and moved at a brisk pace toward a transport, and he flashed his identification. The driver altered their destination immediately, broke away from the regular air traffic pattern, and peeled toward their new destination.

0772 stepped out after several minutes of uneventful flight and offered a quick salute toward the two. "What's the situation," he asked quickly. His datapad clicked furiously as he sent a standby order to local security, just in case they needed to detain the parties in question.

It was not unlikely that they had started on their way by that point.

At the privates comment she used it as a change to tease him one last time, "Maybe I want to run into you again private, you seem like such a cute thing, id eat you right up given the chance" she gave [member="Chubs"] a sly smile before being waved through with the other, even though they were her on a job a change to relax was something she'd take full advantage of, also stopping by at any stores might be useful, she was always looking at parts for her customs weapons. Her attention was drawn to [member="Caelen_Tercept"] as he spoke "sure thing honey just lead the way", she briskly walked up to him taking her position at his side, wrapping her arm around his making the look like an ordinary couple, which they slightly were in a scene. After they had walked a few paces "do you think they suspected anything?, I have a feeling that was too easy, but that just might be me". She slightly re-adjusted her vest to make sure the electro staff she was carrying would be easily accessible if things went south.

RIP Carlyle Rausgeber

"It's all been bloody marvellous..."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VM1vU-jFivE

Outside of the spaceport, not many if any retail outlets were open on Cloud City at the moment. The cities streets were sparsely populated, and a majority of those who did stalk the streets were the olive green Planetary Defence Force troopers, along with military and civilian engineers. They were kept busy, either rebuilding structures razed by the short battle which had raged in orbit, or fixing unseemly damage to the facade of the older buildings.

Large industrial speeders hauled construction parts, and military cargo shuttles passed over head with ivory TIE escorts and their distinctive howl. The visitors were barely given any recognition by the workers, who gave them cursory glances to ensure they didn't wander into a construction site, before returning to work. The civilians who were there, were mainly residents, who had begun to trickle back, and were now assessing the damage caused to their homes and businesses.

However, as one wandered closer into the city, signs of less despondancy could be seen, and signs of normalcy became more apparent. Newspaper stands stocked the latest edition of Dispatch, celebrating the victory fought by the armies of Sieger Ren. Giant holoscreens, fixed to Cloud City's skyscrapers now aired news reports, and weather reports. Some small cafes had opened, using their last stock to try and make a quick buck. Which was just as planned.

Just as what Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber had planned. While the reconstruction efforts of this scale were usually reserved for the Moff, due to the recent nature of the attack, Supreme Commander A'sharad Graush had put Rausgeber in charge of Bespin's defences. From his office, just below the Baron Administrator's, Carlyle watched the city slowly take shape. New defences had to be built, and the infastructure repaired, but only in a matter of days, water, and power was largely on. The trouble now was clearing rubble and debris from the battle.

However, two things now caught his attention, the buzzing of his intercom, and datapad simultaneously. He tapped the button on the intercom, "Speak." he commanded.

"Admiral, we have a report from the spaceport sir, Moff Teigra has just arrived." The secretary reported.

"Send a speeder for her," Carlyle commanded, "I'll meet her here." He turned off the mic, and cursed, "Kark!" He snapped, what did the government need here? And why was the Moff decidedly attempting to visit somewhere without his knowledge. It all infuriated Carlyle to no end, the pompous nature and buffoonery of government members, arriving unanticipated and unwanted. Carlyle turned his attention to the datapad, and opened it. It was an alert, some vessel pinged at the spaceport. He frowned, and typed a simple message, [Authorisation, Gamma Nine], the FOSB had full purview on this, and Carlyle had a Moff to entertain.

With the roll of his eyes, he'd laugh, as if she said something funny, muttering under his breath as he laughed. "No. Keep walking." After he was done laughing, he stared into her eyes, his own scarred lekkus would wrap around eachother, forming the sign of love for twi'leks, before undoing. "I'd really prefer to get close like we did before...But we got a job to do, yeah? Lets finish that and celebrate later, eh?" He asked her, as if wanting to confirm what may happen later.

Well it seemed her rude antics had actually worked. As she walked off she grinned, catching up with Novin and moving along the crowds. Cloud city was quite impressive, if a little roughshod, and she found herself eyeing just about every store front. Then it was time to get to business. She needed two pieces for the Hyperdrive.

She snagged a local map of the area and began to move towards the shop district. As she went she noted what defenses were in place. Had they aroused less suspicion she might have jotted them down to sell off to Nathan her long time love, or maybe even Jorus. But eyes were on her, and she wasn't going to prison today.

"Excuse me Darlin' you lost?" Came a gruff voice from behind her.

She pivoted and leaned down a bit, exposing herself.

"Oh my yes. Could you be a dear and show me where the Hyperdrive Mechanic shops are at?"

The man in question was a fellow Smuggler by the looks of him. Black vest, drity tan shirt, spacers trousers.

"Sure thing, this way."

They kept walking and broke into conversation.

"What you here for?"

"Meeting a friend."

"Name?"

"Non ya. Sorry. You a runner?"

"Hmmmmm...."

"Got any leads on extra jobs?"

They were stepping through and alley now and coming out into a crowded plaza. She noticed the throng of bodies and could tell it was to mask them from listening devices.

"Shops over there. Ever heard of the 13th Rail?"

"No."

"Here's my number, hit me up when you want a job."

Novin had seen Catherine go and decided to go with her, He slowly dodged and weaved through the swarm of people they had to go through.

Novin listened onto the conversation waiting till they got to the mechanic's shop, "We should get to the Mechanic's shop soon, We shouldn't spend much time on this planet." Novin said.

She took head of [member="Caelen_Tercept"] advice she decide to drop any suspicions that they had been found out, stressing over it would just make her look guilty. At Daelen lekku message she couldn't help but snicker a little, "you such the romanticist", the comment was laced with sarcasm but at the same time a little bit of mischievousness. "though we do have a mission we can always just goof off for a bit, make our cover story more believable". As they entered the more residential and commercial ares there started to merge into the crowd, becoming even less noticeable while making there way to the cantina.
