Description: The Umbra was an old, abandoned Bothan Frigate that Strask acquired from an old shipyard. After paying a team out of his own pocket to repair it and get the ship in full working order, he and the Spynet got to work making it their new home. Once all but one of the hangers were replaced and modified to be working stations for Prototype Lab Q, they began to add advances to the system. Strask bought as many military-grade computers as possible, and converted one of the mess halls into a data center. The cooking area was taken up by Prototype Lab Q, which added a Holonet Transmitter, with which the Spynet can keep in touch with its field agents around the galaxy.

One major problem that quickly became apparent was the distance between the labs. Each hanger was placed far enough apart for a good fighter coverage and departure, and this meant that they were too far apart to have the rooms work close together. Thus, each room is designed to house one type of testing and construction lab, rather than the multi-room setup used before. The ventral hanger, left operational enough for test flights, was for starfighter parts and designs. The port hanger was converted to a weapons lab, and the starboard hangar was converted to chemical and drug laboratories. And although it may not be much, the ship is a suitable mobile base for the Spynet's needs.

@[member="Alli Wren"] Prototype Lab Q is the research division of the Spynet, who make the special equipment and the occasional starship for the Spynet. They work mostly on smaller equipment, and for them, a project like this would take a while. They're owned by the Spynet, and operate as a branch of them focused on the work of keeping agents equipped.
