Private The Twins

Mandalore

"C'mon, I found a really cool place!" It was another bright and sunny day on Mandalore. Eliz was all grins and happiness as he lead his sister through the dense forest. There were a lot of days like this, where it was just the two of them. Their mother was.. Dead, long before they could remember, and their Father wasn't always around. He was trying to help the Mandalorians, their people. Eliz didn't resent his father for it, but he certainly missed him now and again. But today wasn't a day to dwell on that. Dressed in some simple clothing with a pistol on his hip the younger twin led the way through the woods and into a clearing.

Within, a sparkling pool of water. "See? It's real pretty! And, there's fish in it." His grin widened as he dashed over to one of the trees to pull out from underneath a couple of fishing rods. Actual fishing rods at that, likely taken without permission from their father. Eliz didn't seem to mind in the slightest, instead beckoning his twin over and holding one out for her. "Let's catch some lunch."

Esme stepped over the log in the forest, one booted foot touching the soft dirt underneath. "How cool, though?" She inquired to her brother, tilting her head as one ear twitched slightly. In truth, she wasn't quite sure if she believed him. They had been wondering through the forest for a while, though she wasn't sure how long. It was a gorgeous day, though.

Dressed in a simple yellow dress, the young girl entered the clearing. Oh. It was really nice! "It's very pretty!" She exclaimed happily with a bright smile. She walked over to the lake and peered over, admiring the crystal clear view. "It's so clear! Wow!" She murmured, glancing back to Eliz- who had returned with fishing rods. She perked a brow, but said nothing as she took the line. "Do you have any bait?" She asked after a second, finding a seat on the edge of the lake as she prepped for some fishing.

"Like, the coolest ever!" He didn't have too much to compare. It certainly was the coolest thing he'd seen in his life! Eliz's grin turned to a smirk as he shook his head. "No? But also yes." It was confusing at first, but it'd be pretty clear what he meant as he put the rod down and started digging into the dirt. Not even a minute in and he'd pull out a couple worms, his goofy grin back as he held one out for Esmeralda Krayt Esmeralda Krayt before starting to hook the other on his own rod.

The young half breed plopped onto the ground by the river and cast his line, humming softly. "This can be our hideout."

Esme perked a brow, but nodded. The coolest ever. It had better be the coolest to be out here in the wild! Though, it was absolutely gorgeous- and in truth, it definitely was the coolest that Esme had seen, too. "It is really cool," she finally admitted as she held the rod. No? How would they be able to fish without bait? She was at a loss, though as soon as Eliz Krayt Eliz Krayt reached into the dirt, she knew.

"Gross," she murmured, taking the worm cautiously. "I feel bad," she murmured as she slid it onto the hook. Then, she sat down next to Eliz with a nod as she cast the line into the river. "It can be! We can hang out here all the time! And no one else has to know." She nodded approvingly, looking up towards the sky as she waited for a fish to catch her line.

"Why would ya feel bad?" Eliz tilted his head as he glanced to Esmeralda Krayt Esmeralda Krayt . He was completely confused by why she'd feel bad with worms. Was that it? Maybe it was a life thing. Sis was always the more kinder of the two. He shrugged as he cast his line, waiting patiently while he held the fishing rod in one hand. His smile returned in force once she mentioned that she agreed with the secret hide out though.

"Sweet! Our perfect hideout. This'll be the best!"

"Well, we just stabbed them! And then they're just drowning in the water..." She frowned for a second, though shook her head. "I know it's just the way of life, but still." There was so much hurt and suffering already. But they did have to eat, right? "It's crazy, I know," she muttered finally, with little desire to talk about it anymore. "Yeah! Maybe we can build a treehouse of some sort? Or a little clay house! I bet we could make a cute little home away from home." She glanced towards the towering trees, her eyes wide as she pondered the possibilities. Esme knew that Eliz Krayt Eliz Krayt probably had, too.

She leaned back, using her legs to hold the fishing rod. Her arms folded behind her, placed under her head. "I wonder what dad's up to," she pondered outloud.

"Not too crazy. I get what you mean. But, we need to eat. It's because of these worms we'll get fish to fill our bellies." He leaned over to nudge Esmeralda Krayt Esmeralda Krayt with his elbow. While he didn't feel bad like she did, he understood once she explained a bit more. Eliz laughed a little and shook his head. "Nothing cute. We're Mandalorians! We should build a tree house. Something we can hunt out of." The young boy paused at the mention of their father.

"I bet he's kicking butt. Y'know, like we will. You keeping up on your training at all?"

She grimaced at his remarks. Worms, to get the fish, to get in their own bullies. She understood the circle of life and all that, but that still didn't make it not... Gross. She shook her head a final time, one free hand shaking slightly. "We do make some good cooks," she remarked after a second, deciding it was in her and his best interest for her to ignore the idea of works. Esme scowled at Eliz Krayt Eliz Krayt . "You can have plenty of cuteness and Mandalorian. And sometimes cute things can be the most deadly," she stated flatly, though the grin betrayed her true attitude.

"Yeah, true. And I think I am!" She nodded somewhat confidently. She wasn't the strongest person in the class, after all. But, she generally made up for it in other ways- though her true nature was more peaceful than those around hers.

He grinned and nodded. They did make really good cooks. He opened his mouth to refute the cuteness, but before he could the rod he was holding sprang to life. Eliz laughed happily, standing up to start yanking the cord to drag whatever it was that he caught. "I caught something! Holy crap!" He'd never had caught something before, and it showed as he obviously had no idea what he was doing.

"Uh, hey! Help me out!"
