Location: Kashyyk, near a coastline overlooking a fairly large lake.
Affiliation: Funkly Balor of the Mandalorian Clan Balor, as an exapnsion of the Null Ironworks and Meadery.
Description:
While not equipped with a forge like his compelx on Null, the Turkey's nest (named in honor of the many war turkeys that gave their lives during the battle) is arguably one of the msot well-equipped kitchens in the sector, with multiple cooks from multiple systems contributing to the menus, combining local Wookie cuisine with Mandalorian spices to create treats and vittles to alter and twist the palate in new and exciting ways.
Included in the complex of trees is relatively simple, but well-wrought foritifications, including structural supports made with Mandalorian steel and Concordian Cedar. Although the primary usage of this place is as a restaurant, it can quickly be converted into a barracks in the event of an invasion or incursion.
Along the south side of the tree is a series of boughs with repulsor strust deisnged to help you "park" your flying vehicles for a time.
In the bottom of the large tree-fortress is a large cleear for storing and brewing mead, blood wine, and other strong alcohols. Noted Wookie brewmasters occasionally come down here to trade recipes and start drinking contests with Funky, which he happily obliges when he's not busy doing some other thing.
History:
For his glorious heroism and musical lollygagging during the invasion of of Kashyyk, Funky was granted a charter for land on Kashyyk not totaling ore than ten square miles. Imitating the local custosm of the land and befreinding several Wookie scholars, the ponderous Mandalorian realized quickly that building up was more improtant than out in traditional fortification on Kashyyk. Finding a relatively abandoned military barracks.
Repurposing the place with better fortifications and a large amount of cookeware and food, Funky decided to expand the clan Balor's knack for providing Mandalorian Hearth and Home abroad, and christened the Turkey's Nest, in memeory of @Ra Viszla and his noted kinship with the mighty war-turkeys. Now, the place is a well-known and well reviewed restaurant i nthe sector, earnign the love of both locals and foreign critics for its audacious use of Shyriwook/Mandalorian fusion cuisine, tapping into a trend known as "fang-brightening," which is a mixture of the Mandalorian principle of Mouth-brightening flavor (a staste so vivid you feel it in yoru teeth), and the Wookie principle of "fang-first," that cooking must accomdate not only anatomy, but texture.
Intent: To serve as an expansion for my business, and to put the land grant I got for beign the Kashyyk MVP to good use.
