The Trap Is Set

"Where is it?" Dominic spoke to himself, taking a deep sigh from inside his helmet, standing on the asteroid was taking its toll on him. He still had another 30 minutes on his shift. Keeping an eye out for the ship, it had to drop out of hyperspace near the field, traveling straight through it would risk killing everyone onboard, meaning they'd slowly have to maneuver through the asteroids. A perfect place for an ambush.

Of course one of the key components for an ambush was the target, and at this rate, they'd all run out of oxygen before they got here. "[member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"], got anything on the scanners yet?" Everyone else was back in the Sparrow, the personal ship of [member="Loreena Arenais"] , which she had so graciously let the group use. The whole asteroid shuddered when a bright light emerged from the darkness of the void surrounding him.
The ship had finally arrived and the easiest part of the job was over, now they had to board the thing. "It's go-time guys, ships closing, I'd say we've got about a minute before it's close enough" Naturally, he wanted to go undetected until they boarded, so for that reason, he had instructed Loreena that the ship needs to remain on low power, in order not to be detected, meaning it wouldn't be as fast as it would normally.
Dominic climbed back into the Sparrow and sealed the airlock, in the time it had taken him to get back, the ship had moved closer. He flicked his comm on. "How close is he?" He had been tipped off that one of the judges of the outer rim would be escorting the ship, from what he had heard, this [member="Maokai Bantam"] was an Incredibly skilled individual who was some kind of lawmen of the outer rim.

It had been a while...

Kafh-en-ma-nofre heard the voice of a friend through the comms. With a smile Kafh looked over to the scanner. ”I’m afraid not...” Was all Kafh said. The young Jedi didn’t exactly know how to feel about Dominic, on one hand he was a very interesting person, with a very interesting view of the Force. On the other hand, he didn’t really get along with the rest of the crew, they often called him annoying and didn’t feel like really trying with him.

Or at least it felt like it. The Misfits has come and gone; as all things do in a galaxy plagued in chaos, everything they set to accomplish was up in the wind. Kafh remembered a time Dominic joined him for training. The young Jedi was able to see just what type of person Dom was; he was someone walking the line between light and dark. Someone trying to be balanced.

Kafh leaned back in his seat, letting out a sigh. As soon as he did, a bright light flashed and something was picked up by the scanners

Kafh didn’t know exactly what they were doing, but when Dom called for help: Kafh answered. The young Jedi looked to his lightsaber as he heard Dominic’s voice through the comms again. Who was he talking about?

”[member="Dominic Shiro"], what kind of trouble are we getting into now? By the gods it better be for a good reason.” Kafh said with a hint of a smile on his face.

Kafh felt a bit at ease at the fact that he knew Dominic. The rest of the crew he had yet to fully meet, and he wasn’t sure how much Dominic told them about him.

Kafh looked out the viewport to their target.

A feeling of anxiousness washed over him. He wanted to get this job done quickly.

System: Unknown system
Location: Aboard the "Taudry Twi'lek" - Captains Quarters
Status: Catching up on some rest

The outer rim was a wild and unforgiving place. Lawmen were stretched to the breaking point trying to keep the peace and bring in those that disturbed it. Today Mako figured he had drawn the long straw, a blue milk run guarding an old One Sith corvette he had liberated from a band of space raiders. The captains quarter was really quite nice in fact, seemingly appointed from stuff taken from a luxury yacht they had no doubly raided before he had put a stop to that. But all that fighting had left him pretty bruised up and exhausted, so he had taken the opportunity take a long soak in the Bacta hot tub that had been retrofitted in. To his side well within reach was his side arm and rifle, always at the ready. His armor and cloths were some four meters off though on the bed, folded up neatly where the repair droids had left them after completing their assigned work.

As the ship came out of hyperspace he looked out the large observation window and saw they had reached the belt. Would be a slow half a cycle craw through the space rocks, and he could have sped it up by taking direct control of the navigation if he wanted to. But fact was he didn't, he was more then happy to relax and let the few Astromech droids on the bridge handle the work. He was to happy, drinking the former captains finest vintage from a silver cup and letting the bubbling Bacta take all his sourness away.

Little did he know about [member="Dominic Shiro"] , [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] , and the rest of the misfit crew about to make his life all to interesting once again. Instead he took another heavy drink from the overly intoxicating wine and relaxed back to the bath, ready to enjoy the ride.

Lori was in the zone. Or rather her zone. Navigating an asteroid field was a tricky thing. Especially in low power. There were so many pieces moving at their own different paces, and each varied in size from that of a spaceball to those large enough to carry an atmosphere.

Her eyes were drawn to their target as it dropped out of hyperspace. But her movements remained slow and calm as she flicked a couple of switches and placed a hand on the throttle. The voices of [member="Dominic Shiro"] and [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] were heard over her ship's comms. "We'll be close enough to spit on it soon enough. Just be patient."

Beads of sweat began to develop on her brow, but Lori paid it no notice as she gently pushed on the throttle for a mere second to give them a bit more momentum. They couldn't travel very fast, lest they allow themselves to be detected, and no one wanted that. "It won't be long now..." The corvette was in view, partially obscured by an asteroid. Hopefully they'd be obscurred too. At least that's what Lori was counting on anyways.

The airlock finished pressurizing itself and opened into the main compartment of the ship, upon entering, Dom immediately began refilling his Oxygen tank and set about collecting his things. It was then that he heard [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] ask about the plan. "C'mon Kafh, you know me better than that. I don't just start fights without a good reason... Most of the time. We're just going back to our old tricks, raiding slavers, stealing from the rich." Dom couldn't speak to Kafh without reminiscing of The Bastion, and how he had torn everything apart Kafh, Kahlil and everyone else.
Fortunately, He didn't have to think about it for long, as his tank was full, and he was still prepping the equipment, grappling hooks, magnetic boots, the hacking devices. "Kafh, meet me at the airlock, I want us inside before they know the Sparrow's even in the same System, [member="Loreena Arenais"] let us know when we're right above it... Or below it in this case." He reattached his helmet air tank and picked up his helmet. All that was left, was to bring his sabers, though the thought of how Kafh would react to seeing them again raced through his mind. Part of the reason the misfits came to an end was because of his unbridled curiosity.
In time he elected to ignore the thoughts and clip them both onto his belt, he grabbed one of the hacking devices aswell as the grappler and stood outside the airlock, waiting for Kafh and hoping that the plan would work.
