The Torment of Tantalus

"A good stealth ship should be large enough in my view to protect itself when and if it attacks but also have the speed. Really anything larger then these will not be in high demand or use more something that can be for protecting high valued locations." She was looking at some of the when she brought up more things so that they could look over it. "The rest of the ship is looking at parts in the design itself. We have developed the stealth systems as a package so it is more standardized and made to something we can use. The stealth plating is made to be better since nightshadow is harder to get without raising suspicions from other." She wanted to see many of the things though." She had some ideas for what they could do and was looking over the systems of the ship itself so Camellia could look it over.

To be entirely honest, Camellia could not imagine a stealth ship bigger than the patrol destroyers anyway. She knew from history that there had indeed been a Super Star Destroyer vessel that had been stealth enabled, but it wasn't the norm. What her associate wanted for the ship in question now was sound, no argument there, she was simply stating how untypical it was for a stealth ship to fill such a role. "Alright, I doubt large ships are in much demand anyway. Anything too big is too much of a loss if it goes down. Unique and large vessels are reserved for the homeguard in the most dire situations usually right? Still, a stealth destroyer patrolling the hyperlanes should lead to a reduction in insurgency and piracy. As for the rest of the systems, I can assume you're alright with slaving systems together? We can see about working on emp hardening as well since longer deep space operations could result in wear on your stealth plating, so ensuring the electronics keep up still would be the base requirements to ensure functionality."

"From my experience with ships and handling it. There is a very important aspect to have. The illusion you have a fleet of stealth ships can be just as important. I doubt we'll make more then was battlecruiser with a cloaking device attached to it. As something that be there and stationed in deep orbit. More then that would it would be ideal is impractical. We have been looking for a number of other ship designs. Larger gunships and ships skilled in disabling are what we need and want beyond this." Hopefuly the smaller frigates and transports if they can get them to work will also serve a purpose but there was a couple more things to it as she spoke. "We have also been working with these to have a more expensive upgrade. Crystal grav traps."

The woman's words certainly rang true. The threat of a weapon was just as effective as actually having the weapon itself sometimes. However, in a period of war, utilizing such bluffs only carried you so far. Even if there were a few examples of the stealth fleet in question, they would have to make regularly or grandiose appearances in order to dissuade one's foe away from the hyperlanes they'd supposedly be patrolling. Nonetheless, it was a tried and true concept that could by all means work out perfectly fine. However, considering the fanaticism of force using cults, or at least the aggressiveness and overconfidence of them, Camellia wasn't as certain in the effectiveness of the idea. Still, the galaxy was not at war in the same light or manner that it was just a few odd years ago. "Large gunships are something I am happy to help your people look into if that's what you're after. I wouldn't know what sort of systems you'd need to disable targets without knowing what those targets are first of course. Are the crystal grav traps a hint to that?"

"The crystal grav traps will be for handling the stealth fleets that seem to appear from no where, land armies on planets and then take them al away without a hint of resistance. The sith have it, our defenses can barely see them coming. The reformation has it as they engaged and took a world in silver space for themselves and despite the government and the silver fleet trying to find them." She stuck around looking to get more things there. They were working on some gunships to show off that way they could attack and be prepared. "THe larger gunships though will be a nice things we are developing. The Omni class will be looking to be a massive one for that purpose."
