The Time is Now. [Evacuation of Yavin Academy]

The Golden Rose burst from hyperspace above Yavin IV, transmitting her credentials to the Jedi Academy, she was cleared with little issue. [member="Judah Dashiell"] was the new owner of the Academy, she knew him from the Sanctum an old friend and she wished, above all things, that their meeting could be under better circumstances.

Her request from [member="Mara D'Lessio Merrill"] was clear. Get the younglings out. She reached out to Silk Holdings for the loan of a Connestoga-class frieghter - fitted for short term transport of passengers. Overkill, perhaps, but she dare not risk the chance of leaving anyone behind. It remained in orbit where it would wait for transports bearing children.

The Rose landed with a heavier thud than normal, a consequence of nerves and anger. Rosa took a moment, pressing the heels of her hands into her eyes and taking several slow deep breaths. The pulsing anger from her subsided a little, and Layil stayed quiet, lurking in the back of her mind with mild interest. Now was not the time for snide comments, Rosa needed focus, and she was grateful for the silence.

She padded down the landing ramp, moving with purpose through the spaceport towards the academy. Once she stepped over the threshold she hesitated, aware of the eyes drawn towards her and her dark presence. She blinked, regaining focus and moving through the Academy in search of Judah and anyone else who would hear her.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, got into or out of the Yavin system without Rekali notice and permission. At any point along the way, the massive freighter could have been interdicted and torched like the cardboard box it was. And yeah, at a couple of points it had been scanned and recognized as empty. But the freighter didn't get interdicted, maybe out of curiosity, maybe because the Rekali farseers and prophets -- and the clan had plenty -- knew why the ship had come.

The last clan chief, Ember Rekali, had always kept the academy sacrosanct for the sake of his dead children. Alec, though less sentimental, honored her predecessor's wishes. The Rekalis wouldn't be interfering with the Padawan evacuation. Frankly, she'd recently recommended the same thing to [member="Chloe Blake"]. To most Mandalorians, even though the Yavin Academy had nothing to do with the Republic, Jedi were Jedi. Best to move the kids somewhere far away, just in case something stupid happened. Nobody needed a repeat of Ilum.

Yavin Jedi Academy
Conference Chamber of Headmistress Eyal M'ti

"I ain't sayin' that the Mandalorian Clans might strike at us," the Warden told the Neti Headmistress of the Jedi Academy Network. They were in one of Yavin Academy's chambers. [member="Ilias Nytrau"] had been sent word and would likely be joining them soon, but in the meantime, it was Chloe along with the other Jedi Masters of the Yavin Jedi House discussing just what to do.

"But it bears considering that we may be in a situation we may not want to risk." It wasn't just Yavin. There were also little pockets of Jedi Houses here and there, but Yavin was the largest.

"We can get support from the Sullust Academy... or even head on down to Kathol Sector. And Alec told me their prophets spoke of others coming to help." the woman emphasized, referencing the message of an inbound ship that Alec had told her about.

"With everythin' goin' on... I rather edge on caution and do what we can than wait and end up regrettin' it."

A knight found her wandering the corridors, apparently lost. She wasn't, not really, she was simply trying to get an idea of the scale of the task at hand. He eyes her suspiciously, his hand subconsciously resting on his saber. She lifted her hands in an apparent surrender. "I'm sorry, I'm looking for the Masters. I imagine they are in conference but I can't seem to find them."

He blinked at her and frowned, eventually coming to the conclusion that she wasn't a threat. Layil oozed disappointment, and Rosa chastised her silently for it. "This way."

He led her back the way she had come, through wide corridors and down a flight of steps and another long corridor. "What is your name?"

"Rosa Gunn." she replied as they came to a halt outside a set of great arched doors. Had she been on a more pleasant trip, she might have paused to admire them. As it was, she didn't give them a second glance. "Wait here." he told her, knocking lightly, waiting for the invitation in before disappearing out of site. Rosa exhaled a sigh of relief.

Why are you so tense? Its not like you're here to do harm.

Layil ceased her silence, curiosity getting the better of her. "Because, I should not be here. We should not be here. The likes of us are not welcome in a place like this."

You mean the likes of me.

"Yes, Layil, that is exactly what I mean. If they knew..." she trailed off.

They'd do nothing but try to redeem you, but your insistence at punishing us-

"Shut up." she growled, closing her eyes. The last thing she needed was to be caught talking to herself. She sat down on a bench to the side and closed her eyes. Focusing on her breathing, she did her best to calm her agitated nerves.

Several Mandalorian ships dropped out of Hyperspace above Yavin IV, their transponders revealing them to be clan Skirata. Their weapons systems were deactivated. A transmission went out to the Academy, a voice call from Davin Skirata. Though he hadn't been to the Yavin temple in some time, he had spent time there at one point learning to control his power in the Force. His brother didn't know he had taken Clan ships, but he doubted he had the time. Gil hadn't responded to any of his messages after he heard the news about Illum, and so he hightailed it back to Mandalore took any who volunteered and headed out.

"This is Davin Skirata of clan Skirata. We stand behind you and have brought ships and droids to get you off-world. Even if the world is under Rekali protection, I don't think its safe for you here anymore." Little did he know that evacuation was well under way by the time he arrived.

In the council chamber, a lone Mandalorian woman removed her helmet, revealing the face of one Alec Rekali. Or, as various Padawans called her, the Landlord.

"My grandpa always wanted your academy preserved," she said. "Even after he went what you'd call Dark. It was for his kids' sake, my aunts and uncles. I've done my best to honor his wishes, but things are changing. I know and you know that you've got nothing to do with the Republic, but to most Mandos a Jedi is a Jedi. I'm not telling you to leave -- you've been way better tenants than the Order of the Gray were, the folks I evicted before you -- and anyways [member="Judah Dashiell"]'s your landlord now, not me. But call this friendly advice: might be best if you at least moved the kids away. Same think I told Chloe, your Master Blake, this morning.

"You've all heard about Ilum by now. Some people made some dumb choices, a couple of folks went off the rails in defiance of orders, and a lot of kids died. All totally avoidable, just bad assumptions and bad communication. Far as I can see, the best way for me to honor my grandpa's wishes is to tell you there's more chance for bad assumptions and bad communication here on Yavin than there was on Ilum. Now, there's a big ol' freighter overhead, neutral, and we think it's here to help you evacuate the people you want to evacuate. Do as you will and, uh, may the Force be with you."

Kidslaughter.

Lilin had thought this was a thing of the past. She had hoped nobody in the galaxy would any longer perform such a massacre. She had had foolish hopes. She had been a fool. Of course such things wouldn't erase themselves from the galaxy. Children died all the time, sometimes in the hands of slaves, most of the times in the hands of cruel darksiders. And now, in the hands of the Mandalorians.

People whom Lilin had considered honourable and not enemies. She had had foolish considerations. She should have never trusted them. She should have never aided them at their tries to make their territory more powerful. She should have not let them advance.

And even though she couldn't have done anything on her own, she could have guided people in the right direction. She could have. Could.

Ugh how she hated not seeing the future.

Entering the space of Yavin was difficult -- it was one of the worlds which was tightly secured and protected by a group of individuals, this time the group being Clan Rekali. They were all good people, she knew that. Some of them she had even considered allies. Had. No longer she thought of any Mandalorians as allies.

She would most likely have to get the permission from one named Alec Rekali to get to the planet. She didn't have a visa or anything, but she hoped in the light of the recent events, she would be granted an allowance.

After all, Yavin IV was one of the worlds under Mandalorian control which had an influential Jedi Academy.

The Jedi Master stood in the hangar on the planet of Lianna, Kahne was very familiar with this place as this is where he was in a coma for a few weeks. After he recovered he remained here for a few weeks longer to ensure that he was healed up and at full strength. By his grace and those that were aiding him, he made a full recovery. The Jedi Master came back here as often as he could to visit more or less. However this time wasn't just that, word had reached his ears and the message received about the massacre at the Academy on Ilum. It was a terrible tragedy, and message that found its way to the Jedi here on Lianna as he was visiting the Circle of Healers Enclave. While the Jedi knew that Yavin was protected but also under seemingly Mando control, or so he thought. He would have to be delicate about how he went about this, and there was only one person that came to mind during this time. While he had been out of touch with her for quite some time, she had still helped him way back when, and he wanted to return the favor. Not just because he paid his debts, but because all Jedi were now involved at some form or another. A message was sent to one, as Kahne wanted to use extreme caution during this time, however Ilum would not be forgotten.

"Here goes nothing R4." Kahne said as he glanced up to his R4 droid, ready to deliver the holographic message.

Chloe,

I apologize for my lack of contact, time has been our most valuable currency in the galaxy it seems however it slips from us sometimes. I've heard about the Ilum Massacre and I want to do everything I can to help, I'm aware of Yavin and it's current predicament, I want a way in to help evacuate. Please, let me know how I can help...If I can at all. I hope this message finds you in somewhat good fortune considering circumstances aren't the greatest.

Lilin's single personal ship soon made it to the actual Yavin Academy -- a place she had not been before in her life but which she had heard a lot of good things of. The old Lilin would have loved being there, taking a look here and there, helping Mandalorians out.

But the new Lilin didn't feel so generous about such things.

She found it interesting how her entrance to the atmosphere and later on to the planet had not been interrupted. Most likely the overseers of the planet didn't see much of a problem in her and her one ship holding inside only one Jedi coming to the planet and joining either the discussions or any actions take place there. She had heard only vague whispers of what would be happening on the planet; nothing certain.

The thing was, she was one of the few people who didn't talk much to people outside the Galactic Alliance. She didn't hear about most things unless the high command wanted her to hear of them. But this time, things were different. She knew nobody who wouldn't have heard of the kidslaughter on Ilum.

The Jedi Master didn't even have most of her weapons with her -- only her personal blue-bladed lightsaber hanged on her belt.

After having been allowed to the building, she marched around the halls of the Academy, not knowing exactly where she would find others. However, she did like seeing how other Jedi worked and what their structures looked like. This one was nothing like the New Jedi Order Temple on Sullust.

She would have to get to a council chamber, but to get there, she would have to take a look at a building plan first. Jedi structures were usually quite complicated, meaning a random person wouldn't just find a room in an instant.

She could have asked for directions from somebody, though. Huh, now that she started to think about it, that seemed like a very good idea.

"Pardon, would you happen to know how could I get to the council chambers?" she asked from one of the people passing by. She had to note, this place was full of tension and panic. The air made her feel uncomfortable.

Yavin Jedi Academy
Conference Chamber of Headmistress Eyal M'ti

[member="Alec Rekali"] [member="Kahne Porte"] [member="Lilin Imperieuse"] [member="Davin Skirata"] [member="Rosa Gunn"]

There was a decisive sense of calm emanating from the Headmistress. Their counsel would linger heavy upon the Neti, and their words sinking to the possibilities that lay before them.

"Your grandfather and your Clan, A'lor Rekali, have been generous with your hospitality. The Jedi Academy has flourished during our stay here." she began. A nod was granted to Chloe, pensive knobbly brows pinching but for a moment.

"We are grateful, Master Blake, for your words of console." she spoke for the entire Academy in that. A searching glance would sweep up and across the many faces within her chamber. A pause, then a nod.

"Nor are you the only one to offer to lend a hand." how she knew this much, was always a curious curio. Headmistress M'ta gave an incline of her head, adding, "Please allow entry to our guest." prompting a small swivel of heads towards the door.

"I believe the one spoken by your prophets is already here."

In the small bit of time allowed while the doors were opened for [member="Rosa Gunn"] to enter, Chloe's comm gave a small beep. A frown and she quickly read it. It was Kahne.

Not wanting to miss what came next, she quickly tapped out a message.

Ol'val Kahne,

We might be evacuating the younglings from Yavin to another academy. I'll send more word once the decision is made.

~Chloe.

As for [member="Davin Skirata"], his message and clearance into Yavin proper was solely at the discretion of Alec Rekali. His message to the Jedi Academy slowly routed to the Headmistress.

Rosa entered tentatively, the calm omitted by the Headmistress did a little to calm her frayed nerves. She offered a small bow of respect and a smile. "Masters," she began "It is a shame that we should meet under such circumstances." She glanced around the room. Taking note of Alec standing to one side, not overly surprised to see her here. While she did not have the full story, she did not believe that the actions of a few was enough to judge an entire nation.

"Mara D'Lessio Merrill sent me to aid the evacuation, should you chose it. The freighter in orbit is with me, I've no location to take those you wish to evacuate to, but under the circumstances, I believe we can decide once the younglings are airborne. I will escort the ship, but I will not be on it, someone responsible will need to be with them."

Its not safe.

She licked her lips, clasping her hand at the small of her back to hide the trembling. "Forgive me, it's been quite some time since I was in the presence of so much light."

Since the auction where he won a great chunk of land on Yavin IV, he had drifted on towards Silver Sanctum space, checking in on the operations in the sector. Tabaqui continued to be an ever expanding operations for salvage, almost becoming a funnel for everything collected in Sanctum territory. If the pace continued they would have to speak to the locals about expanding the facilities there. Local village councils had a working agreement with them on certain matters. Expansion and bringing in more traffic was one of them. Tabaqui often liked to be left alone and out of galactic troubles as much as possible.

Having been in meetings for most of the day, Judah finally had a free moment to check his comm, only to see an explosion of messages concerning Yavin IV. Apparently the Mandos had blown up a vessel full of younglings on Illum. Judah was a bit surprised, expecting the Mandalorians to have a bit more class than to blow up innocent kids. Yavin IV was naturally a possible target for retaliation.

Standing out in the Tabaqui sun, Judah quickly typed a message to Chloe Blake :

Miss Blake,

Sorry for the delay. I have just received news of your plight. After this message I will check to see which Salacia Consolidated vessels are in the area. We've been doing salvage work in several sectors due to the fighting. All salvage crews will be notified to be on alert and move closer to the Yavin system.Vessels closest will be immediately redirected to your location. Please place anyone needed to be evacuated on board, crews will be notified to make a non-stop run to Voss in order to keep all innocent lives out of harms way.

I will be en route myself. Stay safe.

An old Tachyon freighter emerged out of hyperspace. Scans by the Rekali clan would determine it had stock defenses and wasn't carrying any explosives or other such dangerous toys. Though he was heading into Mandalorian territory in midst of a Mandalorian caused crisis he felt safe, at least from the Rekali's. He had known Ember when he was part of the Jedi Order, a long long time ago. Learned about the White Current from him as well, which had proven useful. So much had happened since then, but he would choose to believe the Rekali's would let him help the evac and then leave. As he sublighted his way to Yavin IV they'd probably scan him at least once or twice more, each time finding the same results. He then commed down to the Jedi onworld, one of which was an old friend he hadn't seen in ages. Hopefully everything was still alright.

"Jedi on the ground this is Jaxton Ravos, here to help with evacuation. I can land on the ground or stay up here and run escort if y'all are ready to leave."

[member="Davin Skirata"], being Mandalorian, would encounter no obstacles. Neither would [member="Jaxton Ravos"]: a Tachyon-class was too small to trigger Rekali attention. [member="Judah Dashiell"], being the new rightful owner of Yavin IV, certainly wouldn't run into any problems from the Rekali side of things either.

Alec nodded at Headmaster M'ti's thanks, but her head tilted as the new arrival came in, the freighter lady. This one, she knew instinctively, was no Jedi. Didn't move like one, didn't have that air about her. No, this one knew violence. "...a while since I've been in the presence of so much light," the visitor was saying. A Darksider, then. Oddly, that made Alec trust her slightly more.

Alec re-settled the buy'ce on her head. "Good luck, folks," she said, and headed out.

A continuation of his own training had Théo on Voss within the Silver Temple and Academy. As soon as the news of Illum came to the attention of the Assembly and ran through the Sanctum he had sent word to the Watch to be on high alert on Rhen Var and he would return to them as soon as possible. However, he cut his training short and decided to go to Yavin IV and help with the evacuation of the Academy. He contact his mother and father, [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and requisitioned three Heavenshield Class Heavy Cruisers for the job. The intention in his choice of ships was not to engage in any military action, but to carry as many evacuees as possible and return to them Voss or Ossus if that was their wish.

Without delay, the small fleet jumped into hyper bound for Yavin, he would arrive at the same time as his friend Mr Dashiell, an man he had met on Ceto and worked for in salvaging for some time before Théo returned home to Voss. He sat on the bridge in the command chair, horrified at the news that younglings had been slaughtered, force attuned or no, this was a heinous act, callous and cowardly. The reaction to this event is not his to deliberate on, that is something for his parents and the Assembly to do, although he would never second guess his father's mind, he had a strong idea of what his mother might think on this. He thought of the younglings in the Temple of Voss, after all some of them his friends. Even himself, although standing in the body of man due to his blood of the Valkyri, still sports the fluff of childhood on his chin.

"Commander Heaveshield, we will arrive in four hours", the crew member informed him. "Send a message to the local authorities we are on route and our intentions .. and request permission to land".

The Gordian Reach only had a handful of entrances, and Clan Rekali had hyperspace monitors and gravity wells on all of them. Three heavy cruisers tripped every alarm in the book. Between Spintir and Pygorix, thirteen jumps before Yavin, at the edge of Mandalorian territory, the SSC flotilla ran into a solid wall of interdiction and got ripped out of hyperspace unceremoniously. This all transpired very shortly after the SSC called ahead.

The ship facing them was a barbaric-looking heavy cruiser, Skira-class, its aft section radiating vanes like the spines of a nexu. Its telesponder read Like Hell -- a notable and well-decorated Clan Rekali vessel.

A comm channel crackled open. "We are allies," said Oren Rekali without preamble. "You notified us that you would come, and we acknowledge your respect. But you bring warships, and that raises eyebrows, yes? To come any farther into our territory you must keep your weapons offline and accept my escort."

Far, far away on Mon Calamari, Admiral Gould was overseeing the construction of new ships for the Coalition fleet.
She became aware that several aides were hanging back nervously, there was a good deal of whispering and hand wringing.

“Well? Out with it!” she demanded gruffly.
“Ah…ma’am,” one Lieutenant said, saluting. “We’ve, uh, just received word that the Jedi have requisitioned some ships…three Heavenshield Heavy Cruisers…for the evacuation of Yavin IV.”
Gould blinked, stared. Was this sort of joke? Some type of parody? Was it All Fools Day? It seemed not.
“They did what?”
“To evacuate the Academy. In the wake of the Ilum Massacre.”
“They took three rare combat ships into foreign territory to evacuate people in…when said ships have only the most cramped and functional hanger? Why would they not take the Argent which can hold six times more each. Did they think to take any escorts?”
“It…seems not, Ma’am.”
“Force save us from Jedi who think they are leaders,” the Admiral growled. “And into Mandalorian territory too! Do they realise those ships are hapless at close quarters? I suppose they chose that class of ship because of the name alone?”

She sighed. “Alert the 3rd Squadron. Dispatch escorts and a carrier to assist. They are not to provoke the Mandalorians, is that understood?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Gould turned away, muttering about Jedi.

Assuming they entered Mandalorian territory and the Gordian Reach, Third Squadron and escorts would run into the exact same hard wall of interdiction just past Spintir. This time the SSC presence would get considerably more attention from various quarters, though only a group of small Tegaanalir patrol ships would intercept.

The old security dilemma at play: if you have only one neighbour and that neighbour has a cannon on his porch, there's a pretty decent chance that cannon might be intended for you. And even if it's not, it sure as feth looks like it is.

Everything coming in or out of the Yavin system was tightly controlled and monitored, warning sensors went off as soon as the three warships bearing tags of the Silver Sanctum Coalition came through the roil and triggered every alarm in the system. There were many things one did not do to a Rekali. You didn't harm one, you didn't insult one, and you certainly didn't try to invade upon their home. Albeit peaceful it was still an invasion in all accounts. The Skira-Class escorting them told the SSC everything they needed to know right off the bat, but that wasn't the only message they would be getting.

Exiting hyperspace over the surface of Yavin IV perhaps to ease the tensions of the Rekali people planetside was an site they all knew too well. It was a giant, a behemoth unlike any other. An Alor-Class Dreadnaught stopped over the surface, exactly near the path the escorted cruisers would be taking. It's markings and transponders proclaimed its name proudly for all who could see: The Aaralyn. Sitting in the Captain's Throne on the massive bridge was Caspian Rekali. The Young Warlock issued his commands across the bridge "Shields up, all weapons powered up and ready to fire at a moments notice, I want them to know just how serious we take these intrusions.." The entire ship reacted mere moments later. All crew were at their stations and pilots kept on notice, if they were going to cause trouble, the Aaralyn would rain fire down upon them.

Just give me a reason. Caspian thought. It didn't matter to him if they were One Sith or Silver Sanctum Coalition, so long as his family, his people were still down on that planet, he would kill them all to defend them under attack.
