Though the brief return trip to Kestri was fruitful, and enjoyable, it could not last forever after Humbarine. They would take to the stars once again, to wage that never-ending crusade in hopes for that unreachable future.

The cold metal was a sharp contrast to the frigid air of Kestri- or if he was being more reminiscent, the low-hanging fog and humidity of the jungles of Dxun. Though for quite some time this soaring wonder of technology had meant to serve as his home, it never quite ‘fit.’ There had always been a sense of alienation from it, divorced from the definition one would have for a ‘home.’ A facsimile, compared to firm soil and a brisk breeze.

Yet, one could still do what they could to bring a piece of home along, so that sickness would not overtake. A small gesture, really- what use did warriors have for such sentiments? Even still, morale was something that had to be kept in mind. Even for their ilk. So, with steps burdened by the weight of his usual adornment and weapon strapped to his back, he had wandered the corridor leading to a small hydroponics area. Greenery bloomed atop tanks of aquatic life against the walls, the floor parting here or there to give way to cropped plants, bushes, and small trees.

It was only a piece, but it was something real, nonetheless. Carduul couldn’t say why exactly he had come here, or why he felt the need to take a momentary load off…perhaps it was simply the fact he had the recent developments on his mind. Or that he was part of the very reason for being concerned of ‘morale,’ and he may miss being able to wander upon solid ground more than he expected.

Thus, as he rested the poleaxe upon the ‘ground,’ he had sat upon a small bench that was set up in the midst of it all, taking the moment to merely observe the various swimming life that he likely had never seen a’fore.
