The Temple of Pain is located on the planet of Fresia, a world subjugated by the One Sith. The Temple was built by a Hand of the Dark Lord, Sage Bane on Fresia in order to be near one of the biggest Alchemical basins in the galaxy, which is a crater filled with the blood extracted from ritual sacrifices of the One Sith during the conquest of Fresia. The whole area surrounding this Alchemical basin flows freely with the Dark Side of the Force, enabling the ancient Alchemical arts learned within the Temple to flourish at a rapid pace. Constructed entirely out of dark black stone, the Temple was built to withstand the massive amounts of violent storms that occur on the the planet due to its tidal fluctuations from Fresia’s seven moons. Sith ingenuity at its finest. Smiling Sithpawn gargoyles sit atop knotted pillars all around the temple, and adorning all the doors and the facade are ornate carvings depicting the exploits of the many luminaries of Sith Alchemy like Darth Plaguies and Naga Sadow.

The Hall of Sorrow

An enormous door with elaborate carvings depicting Sith Lords leading an army of Sithspawn beckons the students into the Hall of Sorrow, the main hall of the temple. The design of the hall hearkens back to Dark Temples of the Old Sith Empire. The center of the room features a number of statues standing with their heads bowed against support pillars in the hall. The centerpiece of the Hall of Sorrow is a towering sculpture of a Sith Alchemist who through Alchemy transformed himself into a living demon, gazing up at the ceiling with its arms extended outwards from his sides. Behind the sculpture sits an enormous altar, which has seen countless sacrifices to activate the darkest rituals of the Sith.

To the left of the Hall of Sorrow is the Dark Forge, and to the right are the Laboratories. To the back of the temple lies the Eternal Library and the Room of Dreams, as well as a blast door which leads to a sprawling courtyard behind the temple. Underneath the temple, accessible through a secret spiral staircase are catacombs which span deep into the earth below and hold an untold amount of cadavers buried in their tombs. Finally, there are two spiral staircase on either side of the statue in the Hall of Sorrow that lead up to the mezzanine of the temple. On the second floor are sleeping and living quarters for the many servants, slaves, and Acolytes that keep the place running. Next to the servants quarters are a few larger private rooms, where Sith Knights and Lords can rest and meditate for the night. On the other side of the second floor are the reliquaries, where artifacts and relics are kept.

The Dark Forge

The Dark Forge is a long, yawning hall that holds the forges, furnaces, and transmutation apparati for the making of all types of armor, swords, talismen, and amulets. This hall not only contains forges for smelting and blacksmithing, casting tools but also troughs of blood for alchemizing Sith Swords as well as a sluicegates for bloodletting. There are looms for tailoring as well as stations for jewelry-making.

The Laboratories

The Laboratories of the Temple of Pain are where all of the Alchemical sciences are explored, such as genetic engineering, chemistry, physics, summoning, and masking techniques. Cabinets are full of strange curiosities. Sith poisons line the shelves, sharing space with flasks, beakers and other apparatus. Sith poison and chemical agents are mixed here in the labs and, of course, Sithspawn can be made and experimented on. Here, all sorts of abominable monsters are birthed into life. It’s alive!

The Eternal Library

The Eternal Library is aptly named for its seemingly endless supply of Holo text and films about the subject Sith Alchemy and Sith Sorcery. Here students can lose themselves for days in the study of everything from the powers of Sith incantations to summoning the Dwomutisisqua to making Wraps of Frost.

The Room of Dreams

The room of dreams is a large room where experiments with illusions and the Dream Realm take place. Lining the walls of the room are sleeping pods where victims are weakened by Sith poisons and then drugged into a dream state so that their unconscious thoughts may be delved into and manipulated by curious students.

The Catacombs of Hatred

Underneath the Temple of Pain, all manner of enemies of the Sith are entombed in the labyrinthine catacombs. Accessible by a hidden spiral staircase in the back of the temple, the catacombs allow to students to experiment with the arts of necromancy and Tsaiwinokka Hoyakut, as well as provide fresh bones for Alchemical rituals performed upstairs.

Other notable areas of the temple include the back courtyard which is a training ground where students can test out their alchemized weapons on each other or captive beasts, duel with other students, or simply practice their dark arts. There is also a reliquary where artifacts and relics are stored.

Protection for the Temple of Pain comes in the form of two Deflector shield generators with focusing dishes. The inside of the temple is guarded at all times by One Sith security droids.

Incidentally, there is canon inspiration for Sage’s interest in building (or rather re-building) the Temple of Pain here. Of course, in Sage’s case he would refrain from placing it the middle of an asteroid orbiting the sun of a Nebula and ending up dead ;)

I will need the source links for all images placed into the submission.

And with this one, I'd like to see a ten post dev thread, focusing around the dark forge and the laboratories.

Otherwise it looks great.

Just updating you that the dev thread has been completed. It is now at 21 posts, with focus on the Dark Forge and the Laboratories. We will probably continue to post in it, to finish the story, but I believe this should be enough for the submission.
