HISTORY
Following the end of the Galactic Civil War and the restablishment of the Sepertisit Alliance, however short that incarnation reign was, former Corporate Members of the Techno Union gathered together once more to reestablish thier once mighty technical Empire.
And as the galaxy was flown through war after war, plauge after plauge and crisis after crisis somehow this precious alliance held, albeit barely.
The real galactic power of the Techno Union was formalized when the Commerce Guild, under pressure from Sith Nations and Dark Side wielders, was forced to subvert to the Union whom nationalized the organization and consolidated thier holdings.
RATIONALE:
The Techno Union is not owned by a singular entity but is instead operated on behalf of various. The Foremen of the Techno Union is by far the most powerful of these individuals, able to liquidate member corporations under dire situations. Beyond that, the Foreman is also in charge of overseeing the Board of Directors which are comprised of the owners of member Corps.
Thus, he or she also holds the rank of First Chairman and Interim Presidente (This is due to the merging of the Commerce Guild and the Union in 780 ABY)
