Affiliation: Alya Sipal, Cpt. Orynn Dushane (and anyone else given permission IRP!). It’s a unique model with unique modifications, not found anywhere else in the galaxy.
Model: N/A, presumed to have initially been a Raider-class corvette.
Production: Unique.
Material: Durasteel hull with titanium reinforcement, placed under ferro-magnesium ceramic outer plating. Most emplacements are protected by alusteel. Transparisteel is used on the bridge and side viewports.

History and Description
The Sylvan-class has had a long history. Supposedly it was among the last-produced models of the Raider-class corvette, sold into a shady civilian buyer. That was nearly eight hundred years ago, and since then the ship has seen service under numerous captains in numerous professions, from being an escort ship for the Galactic Triumvirate, a pirate vessel, and even a simple cargo ship. Currently, it is being employed as an escort by the Pantoran diplomat Alya Sipal, under the command of Orynn Dushane, the ship’s captain, under the name Silvertongue.
Through its many years of service it’s been modified so many times that there remains only a single component from the original ship: the central computer. Through updates, interaction with astromechs, and integration of other ship systems, the central computer is still powerful, and has developed a sort of personality that keeps its efficiency on par with most military-grade capital ships, and has a higher resistance to attempts at slicing and data thievery due to its complexity. To the chagrin of the current owners, it makes wiping old data effectively impossible, and attaching new systems to the central computer can lead to technical issues.
The defenses of the corvette might’ve been impressive twenty years ago, but recent owners haven’t had the money nor the technical skill to replace shield generators or add extra layers of armor. They can still keep up and are superior to most civilian vessels, but a dedicated military warship will likely surpass the Silvertongue’s defensive capabilities.
The Sylvan-class is effectively a gunboat and assault ship, best characterized by its powerful sublight engines and powerful weaponry. A particular special advancement of the ship are its weapon hardpoints, effectively emplacements that can substitute various types of weaponry, giving the ship incredible variability. Another feature of these hardpoints are their ability to retract the weapons placed on the hardpoints, allowing the ship to pass as an unarmed vessel. The sublight ion drives are equally impressive, allowing the ship to push itself as fast as some starfighters both in space and in atmosphere. In addition, the Silvertongue sports eight maneuvering thrusters placed around the ship, increasing its maneuverability significantly.
The Sylvan-class is equipped with multiple advanced systems, including a powerful sensor array; advanced targeting computers; a set of boarding pod launchers; a secondary transponder to pass as a different civilian ship; a precision hyperdrive that allows short-range jumps; an advanced stealth suite that can counter most targeting and sensor computers when activated; and a secret, reflec-coated cargo bay to transport more… questionable cargo.
The Sylvan-class will always be an independent ship, with its variability pointing to a more personal/independent use rather than one in a fleet formation.
Supposedly the original vessel was named after another ship, an ancient Mon-Calamari battlecruiser.
