The Space Between Life and Death (Katara Hawk)

Dathomir. It was every bit as he remembered; stormy, overcast, and wild to its very core. In many ways, it was similar to Mandalore, as if they were cast from similar molds. But where Mandalore was rough and wild, Dathomir was simply dangerous. Betna had no doubt that Mandalorians would thrive and prosper were they to inhabit Dathomir, but he was content to leave that role to the Witches of the planet. They embodied the wildness of their world just as the Mandalorians embodied the ruggedness of theirs. To encroach in either direction felt like an upset of nature itself to Betna.

The ship landed outside one of the towns of villages of the Witches. He'd been here before a long time ago in a search to find his daughter. Now, he was here to find answers. The Seers were rarely wrong, if cryptic, and with the galaxy in turmoil, specifically the mandalorians, he felt the need to look beyond the veil once more. If the Witches could tell him what lay in store for his people, even if in the form of a riddle or some sort of indecipherable prophecy, it could give him a valuable clue to aid his people in the coming days.

But such service was not without its cost and the Witches had an odd view towards currency. They would accept credits, of course, for even they were not untouched by such things, but on a world where value lay in material goods rather than an ever changing coin it made more sense to barter than to purchase outright. He stepped down the ramp and felt his armored boots crunch upon the soil of the planet before turning and gesturing once. Behind him, two clansmen followed. In their hands were the lead ropes of four beasts, two held by each warrior. The beasts resembled large Vornskrs, but came equipped with leather saddles made by Betna clan craftsmen. Two males were held by one warrior while two females were held by the other. In essence, it was enough to begin a breeding stock of the creatures for the Witches and, if Betna were to hazard a guess, potentially worth a hefty sum in the Dathomiran's barter economy.

His fellow clansmen and their charges in tow, Betna started towards the village ahead. Hopefully, @Katara Hawk still resided here and, with luck, could give him the glimpse of the future he needed.
